Yep a steamer will make that arm rust fit like a glove. You can also lay some steaming hot towels on it for the same result. Other tan you need some new clips you sir have some mad skills. I’m enjoying your restoration series.
3 ways to do it ...the steamer, lay hot, damp towels over it, pull the car out with the top down on a warm sunny day. heat and a bit of moister draws the leather a bit tighter naturally.
yeah everything was fine until he actually started wrapping it again... you need to tighten the leather over that not loosely fit it like he did... you can tell its not tightly fitted because the stiches dont match the outer edge on both sides
Every video I watch everyone wants to remove those rubber nipples. It is unnecessary to do that. They lift off when you remove the plastic inner cover. I have done this on my own car and they lift out. If you pull them out you run the chance of breaking them. Also at 11:45 you put them back in backwards. Oh and at 12:41, you didn't properly put the latch in correctly since you can see the numbers. There are two tabs at the bottom that have to fit into 2 slots in the lid.
Next Vlog, we will replace all leather on front seats. Time consuming...but not difficult. Stay tuned!!!
Now that it is coming together, I look forward to the finished results! Looks fantastic so far.
Thanks Mikey!
This is looking great. Enjoying following the progress.

Never fear, Brian is here! You and the Red Line kit are an amazing duo.

Watched most of your videos, first time I’ve heard a “rubber nipple” reference. Great work as always.

Great video Brian.
Would like to see the method used to remove wrinkles in leather with a steamer.

Can you show how the steamer fixes the wrinkles in your next video?
What are the plans for that carpet, that beautiful back seats really sheds a light on it!
Stay tuned...I am dedicating an entire video on it.🙂
