They have some amazing deals too if you spend so much on a brand of tools you get free tools or battery’s I had never seen this until I came here

@@ProBuildCarpenter that’s awesome here in the US the bundle tools with all sorts of random crap so when you buy an impact driver you end up with a cordless bug zapper or something else you didn’t need. Would love the option to get an extra battery or tool a la carte instead although I really like the buffer I got with my impact wrench 😂

Im in the US and have never seen anything like this. I could go to 3 different "Hardware" stores and not see half of the selection you have there.

Really I thought you guys would have stores like this ! In the uk we have nothing everything is online orders or in the back of store I’m guessing crime caused it possibly the same with you guys which is sad because it’s nice to see and play with the tools before you buy them, here they stock everything, crime is very low the other week my friends bag fell off his truck filled with tools, someone picked it up and put it at the side of the road where I found it in the uk that would have been gone, thanks for commenting ✌🏻

@@ProBuildCarpenter Yeah, lol. People will bring back your wallet without taking a cent but a good tape measure lasts about 3 days for me before it goes walkabout.
      Lets keep it this way.

So jealous as an American our tool and hardware stores are whack. We have to order online or pay the piper on the tool truck here in the US.

we do pretty well on dedicated tool shops here ....... seriously, hardware shops are pretty poor compared to the dedicated tool shops. .... some of the bigger tool shops are VAST.
    .
We do very well on power tools for both price and variety.
In the past i used to buy US and UK, magazines, comparing the prices in the adds, we have done very well for a long time.
    .
On the hand tools, some of the brands you will be accustomed overseas, will be overpriced here, because they are a long way from home.
    .
We do very well, from some of the better quality generic hand tools and house brands.

in the US all of our stores are segregated by brand. Each brand name hardware store carries maybe 3-4 of major brands and the next competition big box store carries the next 3 or 4 brands

Hi mate, currently living in Manchester UK and moving to Queensland hopefully this year and was wondering if you can let me know how much I would be expected to be paid as a carpenter hourly and if you know an average of how much you would be expected to be paid annually on a salary with 20 years experience.

Most employed carpenters are on around $45ph works out around £800 per week after tax if you go ABN which is CIS here you can get $60-65 but you need your own van and tools etc, personally get a job that provides a van and fuel card less stress and you get to know the ropes how everything works, once you get licenced you can get $80-100 ph

@@bradtray0891 mate if you work here you can earn good money, I just boarded a ceiling 2.6x1.6 joint and taped painted white and charged £700 she said why so cheap ! I thought it was expensive she said most quotes were for 2 men … to board a tiny ceiling ! honestly it’s easy to earn money, I do little jobs after work start at 7 finish 2:30

Well that's great really to hear. I was employed for 17 year and have been working as a sole trader for the past five years used to doing it all myself like you. I'm fed up with things now in the UK and have family in the far north of qld so am taking the opportunity to get over there now with my family before things get unbearable in the uk. What area in qld did you settle in if you don't mind me asking?

@@bradtray0891 The uk is fucked we couldn’t even get a mortgage for £170k we come here work 1 day and get offered £500k for a mortgage, there’s just no stress about anything, bills are cheap, fuels cheap, and I can’t wait to get a JetSki or boat I got my boat licence it cost me £300 and I can drive any boat 😅 bit scary really where the uk would have cost me £3-5k to get power boat licence, it’s just a different life, less beer and more enjoying life

Haha they sold me a faulty nail gun first nail it fired I took it back, they wanted to send it off for repair I had to kick off in store for them to exchange it, I have the video I meant to post it to show people how bad their customer service is
