Anybody else watching this video seeing yourselves as having some of these traits in your own personal life? This one kinda made me question what kind of person I really am even though I have believed I was closer to stoicism than reality proves. I have a lot of work and training to do. Thank you so much for this wake up slap in the face.

I thought stoicism is about the battle too. What video allows me to let the lion out, the hunt. There must be an exercise where its okay to growl sometimes

Ahem, ahhh excuse me, Ahhm Mr. Stoic, but I beg your pardon, I disagree to your implementation that we control how we react to the shock that trauma (from unsuspecting forces imposed by others upon us)! Well, Mr. Stoic? May I refer to you as Me. STOIC, cause if it causes you to react malfunction-ally, then please know that’s why I ask! I hope you can control your reaction? Tho it is logical to assume we control how we react to people, truthfully, we do not! Our involuntary reaction to life implies that there is no common reaction to no one particular set of events that occur as a result of any type of sting! Be it intentional or otherwise? Rather it’s an ant’s sting or a wasp, no two people has proven to have control, nor any person for that matter, over the reaction of a predator’s invasion or sting! For instance, ants get away from humans in time, so they escape the obvious reaction of a retaliation, mostly, so there is not data to support what humans react to when the element of surprise occur! The study of ants helps to prove this! Also, mostly the instant reaction to a WASP sting to an innocent human, is to find it, and kill it! Tho this reaction is common, it is not controlled! Some people just walk away hoping that as victims to the vicious unwanted WASP, they can heal! No victim, be it to an ant or a WASP controls their reaction to being invaded! Imposed upon, and harmed! Self-defense is not a reaction, it is a post opt beyond any control to a course of forced action! Sir Stoic! #Gullah!
