Both of your videos were very helpful to me. I am a new pool owner in San Antonio Texas (July 4, 2024 we jumped in) and we opted for this heater/chiller along with a variable speed pump. Today was the first day I turned on the heater - read the inadequate owners manual - and learned more from you!
Just got this heater and found out it has Wi-Fi using the "Smart Life" app. Didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the manual. Found it by accident when I was setting up my Wi-Fi pump controller. Not sure if all have wifi or just new ones. Hopefully this helps someone.
89 degree is really nice and soothing. Almost therapeutic!! How much higher can you set it to? I know it will be burning hot but will it allow it to go as high as 105 (5 OR 6 degree above the body temperature) degree F?
Thank you so much for this video, it really helped. Do you know if its normal to have water underneath the fan are if it has been ON for a while? The water is not coming from the pipes, but underneath the fan box area.
It's most likely water from condensation. You have to make sure the box is leaning back toward where the plastic tube is attached, and it will run out of the tube instead. Also, the tube could be clogged so the water will run out somewhere under the box.
Do you have any readings as far as how many watts it is using at any one time? It seems a big advantage this crosswind series has is the cooling function and the variable inverter to modify energy usage better than just on or off, but I haven't found any real world totals of someone with a clamp on a wire yet.
I think we have the same setup. We installed the same heatre and moved to variable speed pump. May I ask what pump do you use? On the face of it, it looks very similar to ours. Same display.
Hi, looking into buying this. I have inverter driven air conditioners and they make an insanely annoying super high pitched wine. Worried about that with this unit - what's your experience?
thanks for the update! I am debating between raypak 65-i and the fibropool fh270 ( $700 cheaper than the raypak). we are in west Florida and have a 10k gallon pool.
Hi Nigel, I am also in FL. Did you end up going with this unit? I also have a 10k gallon pool and am wondering if this will be enough BTU to efficiently heat it.
If you have any updates on its performance as a cooler that would be awesome. I’m in Texas and I want it primarily to cool the pool in the summer and heat the spa
How did you connect the flexible electric conduit to the unit? After I install a liquid-tight connector to to the unit I can't get the plastic access cover back on.

I have the same heater. It has been hooked up for 2days now. It isn’t heating my pool enough. I don’t know what is going on?

Saludo monte ese mismo modelo de calentador tenía 15 días funcionando bien y ahora da un error E3
Error e3 es porque tiene problemas con el fluido del agua.. Es como q no pasará agua por el sistema

@@cameronmiller6456 still haven't decided yet! Wish their was a 3rd option or some way to know if these will work.
@@nigelorion same here!!
Hi. What is the size of your liquid tight from heat pump to panel? I bought a 8/4 whip liquid tight but not have installed it yet.
Have you ever used the chiller option? Looking to heat and cool the water.
I tried it out when I first installed it and it works great.

My electrician had to enlarge the hole.
Do you set the temperature in the spring and don’t turn it off until summer?
I set the temp in the spring and do not turn it off until fall when it's too cold outside for us to enjoy swimming
Does the heater turn the pool pump on and off?
No, it's the other way around. The heater starts and stops whenever the water flow starts or stops
My pump is on a timer. When the heat pump detects water flow. 3min later the heater will automatically start.
