Thanks POA, very interesting to see the difference from the last video. These are definitely high quality, but I can't see anyone trying to pass them off as real in a non-casual setting where people are paying more attention.
As for "Near Mint", that's becoming a joke. Did a little experiment, a small buyout of a reserved list card. Out of 50 "Near Mint" copies, I'd say maybe 12 were in my opinion near mint. Out of those, maybe half were gradeable, centering etc, maybe. 😢
i suppose tolarian academy could be similar to a nykthos if you had a lot of treasure tokens..? so maybe it would be an unban. dunno. these do look good overall.
I would NOT know to do a light test on those cards ( at least the non-foils ). I would be a huge fan of those proxies but they DESPERATELY need proxy stamps
My guess is Primeval Titan, Sylvan Primordial and a few others come off the ban list fairly soon. Jlo and crypt will probably come off in one to two years from now too much reprint equity in those cards for wotc to keep them on there. I highly doubt any reserve list cards come off the ban list no money in it for them.
Ngl in all honesty, I think mox emerald would be totally balanced in commander, since green is the worst at using it, but it would be really wierd to only have one legal.
To further your point on the "new" commander committee, I'm pretty sure a lot of those on the RC took sponsorships from and were close to Wizards anyways. Who cares if the new committee can't bad mouth Wizards? They are there to oversee and make rulings on commander.
Those are straight up copies.. These are the cards that are used to scam people. Without a stamp or different back these should be not for sale period. I am not even against proxies but that is just problematic
These cards suggest WotC's anti-counterfeit approach, which seems to be limited to the foil holo sticker, is about worthless. That Zinnia raised foil even shows it's not hard to make the "special" cards.
I like them but they should have used different backs because I know people who would get these and claim they're the real cards to others to scam them for real versions.
From my understanding, the outrage was towards the contract suggesting that a person employed by WOTC can't say anything bad or derogatory about WOTC even if the contract ends, which is what had me baffled, like, how do you enforce anything on a contract after the contract ends?
I think that’s largely up for debate. If you try to pass off proxies as real cards, then yes they are counterfeit. However in most cases under normal use at home or with friends at a lgs, it’s a higher quality proxy than say just a sharpie and basic land. I always mark my proxies on the back with a large P to denote they are proxies.
Love these videos and your views on the discourse in magic. Very relaxing to listen to.
Every last foil proxy was flat as a pancake. Wizards should ask what printer 🖨️ they used.
Players want high quality cards, Hasbro wants cards that are as cheap as possible before players start to complain and sales are reduced
Thanks POA! I’m really enjoying this series, it’s very helpfil
These are cool! I like to make mine on MPCFill to stand in for the staples in one of my binders

Agreed quality was FAR better on these proxies, much more compared to the previous company, worth the extra money imo. Thanks for the video.
That Sanctum is cool as hell. Got me interested in a Tolarian 🤔

Really nice quality, but some are almost too hard to tell they're proxies. A little concerning. Should have a stamp or different back.
That concerned me as well, I use PrintingProxies, they give custom backs and also the legitimate MTG card back is not a choice for their cards.
I'll definitely have to check out this site. Those cards look amazing 👍.

@@Limkmc agreed. They do fail the red dot test
Those were well worth the price increase over the last batch.

Yep, these companies are all operating illegally. As they become more known, Hasbro will eventually crack down.
Are the committee members employees? I assumed they are contractors, not employees.

These aren't proxies. These are counterfeits.

Lol fastbond would never ever be unbanmed lol
Eh counterfeits? Just unsubbed
@@Logic-cg7qy I'm reviewing the proxy sites. Ok bye
Brother if you're going to un-sub from a creator, just un-sub
@@PackOpeningAddict Fine, but these aren't proxies. They're counterfeits. Goodbye
