The M2 Air is underappreciated imo, 120Hz is overrated & the speakers are decent.

My wife aint letting go of my old 12 mini. We replaced the battery recently when it got to 80% battery health. I'll probably do the same once mine hits 85%.

Worst decision by Apple. They killed the Mini too soon.
They didn’t get very much mileage out of that chassis, so it should logically become the new SE. as I write this on my 3rd Gen SE, I’d gladly switch for a 5.4” display in practically the same footprint.
Happy to know that I’m not the only one who thinks the iPhone 5 was great. That’s exactly why we love the 13 mini so much.

I had the 13 Mini for two years and loved it. The battery life was quite good. At the same time I always did want a slightly bigger canvas and battery life. Also with the way iOS is designed it was still difficult to reach the top of the phone without doing finger gymnastics, so got an iPhone 15 Plus after. No regrets, the 15 plus has been a joy to type on in comparison and zero battery anxiety. Wouldn’t even mind getting an Android due to having a better design for notifications and such compared to iOS, but essentially they are all just slabs anyways will keep for years to come
The Zenfone 10 is the best of both worlds if you don't mind Android, excellent battery and small size. Plus headphones jack.
Wow. I did the same thing. Went from the 15 Pro to 13 Mini after three months. The 15 Pro camera wouldn’t focus for anything no matter what I did. I much prefer the 13 Mini’s size. Perfect size for a smartphone. Anything bigger and you might as well get an iPad.
I’m a fan of the mini also. I like my tech to be as robust but as minimal as possible. If it can be completely invisible even better.
Watching on my Mini 13! Love it. Ppl are shocked when they see the phone but idc it’s comfortable and does the job.

I just switched back from a 15 Pro Max to my old 13 Mini and am loving it. Maybe it’s a honeymoon period, but I plan to just keep using it at my main device and keep the Pro Max around for a dedicated work device and specific times where it is legitimately better (like using as my bike computer)
I can't help but shake wanting to use my 15 pro, but my 13 mini just has this hold on me. That size is too good.
I really miss my 13 Mini; I thought it was the perfect size for a phone. The battery just couldn’t hang, though, and I do appreciate the better camera of the 15 Pro when chasing my toddler around. I really hope Apple revisits a “Mini” range in the future, I’d love to switch back to one.
This video made me feel much less bad over returning the iPhone 15 because of its size… I’ve had my iPhone 7 for 8 years and before that I had an iPhone 5 (which was my absolute all time favorite iPhone too). I just don’t understand why phones needs to be uncomfortably large.Most of them feel like they were made for large man-hands and don’t take into account people with smaller hands. It’s not practical. I honestly cried over the fact that I could not write and reach the whole screen with my thumb and one hand on the iPhone 15. Navigating is such a breeze on my iPhone 7. It felt really devastating to return the phone but I just could not make sense for me to keep it. I have an iPad, a laptop, a tv, if I ever feel I need a larger screen. Not to mention all of those three are 10x more comfortable than 6.1” will ever be.
I hope someone from Apple reads this.
I don’t know if I’ll look into upgrading to the iPhone 13 mini instead, as I’m neither very fond of the all-screen-front. I enjoy a home-button and some space to hold my phone without accidentally pressing something. I also don’t like the UI of the home-bar or whatever it’s called. It’s white and annoying when I had the phone in dark mode. Android-phones solved it much better imo.
i had se 2020...iphone 6,6s iphone se 2022 they where really comfortable to use one hand...after se 2022 i bought iphone 13 ...used for one year and a half...i sold it and bought iphone 15 pro...i am a passive user not on social media ...no movies...no photos or videos...so i am wondering why i swap 13 for 15 pro? i think i'll swap 15 pro for 13 mini and i'll get some cash

I am quite happy with my 12 mini with 81% battery health. I will get the battery replaced soon. As much as I get tempted to get a 15 pro, I realise that the 12 mini serves my requirements perfectly so I have no reason to upgrade.
I also switched from my 13 pro max to the 13 mini. Bought it for one of my employees but I was so fascinated when I unboxed it so now my employee has the 13 max. I then also switched from my 12,9 iPad Pro to the mini gen 6 last year. Couldn’t live with those big devices anymore. I really don’t know why I thought for so many years bigger is better😅
I LOVE my 12 mini. One handed use is very important to me for my phone. If I want to use 2 hands, I'll bust out my iPad mini. Since my 12 mini's battery life is down to 85%, I'll probably be getting that replaced this year ($80) and get another 3+ years out of it. Too bad there's no current mini iPhone to upgrade to...
I bought the 13 mini a year ago or so as I can't stand the monster size phones. The camera works fine to me and all the rest does the job too. As far as batter life goes I'm fine with it. When I'm at home I use a Chromebook for internet surfing so I don't run the battery down that bad anyway. When out of time I do use the mini more but it charges fast so no big deal.

Upgrading from the iPhone 7+ to 13 mini 2 years ago has to be one of the best decision I've ever made. I used to drop my iPhone 7+ at least once every day and cracked the screen but now with the mini I rarely drop them, it still feels like I just bought them yesterday
iPhone SE 4th gen with mini’s screen size, 15’s body & camera, A17, dynamic island & usb-c for $450-$500.

This is exactly what I was thinking about. I have a 15 pro that I'm using right now and a 13 mini that I gave to my family and recently got back, and I'm considering switching after watching this video.
The biggest concern is of course the battery, but during the year I used the 13 mini, the only time it was lacking was when I was on a short trip.
13 mini is my 1st purchased ( 2nd hand) iphone...
Still love it, it can only be replaced my another iPhone mini or rumored SE 4(mini size).
I’m so used to my “mini” 13. It’s the perfect usable size. Doesn’t feel like a slab in your hand or in your pocket. I just love the size. Wish they kept making it. I’d even be happy if they made a slightly thicker one with solid battery life. The only thing I want to do now over 2 years later is to get the battery replaced and keep my cheap sim deal I’ve got now. FAR cheaper than upgrading or even getting a new 13 on contract again.
Finally a smart guy. iPhone 13 mini or 12 or se is just the ideal and weight size. I saw so many tiny girls with small hands huge plus or max iPhones. So laughable 😂😂😂
Currently "still" using my 13 pro and it also works just fine. I can see why people are so attached to the mini - its super cute. But the lack of 120hrz screen, telephoto lense and the worse battery life ... are 3 things i care to much about in the end
In conclusion, use 13 mini but have 15 pro as backup camera in the guise of minimalism 👏👏
I have a iPhone XR and just ordered the iPhone 13 mini yesterday. I’m tired of the large bulge in my pocket when carrying it. It’s like a brick in my hand also.
I mainly use my iPad mini 6 when at home. So I’m thinking this will be the perfect combination. Also the iphone 13 mini will be more portable than the XR.
I’m sure it will take a little getting used to with smaller screen. But as I said I mainly use the iPad when at home so.
I have the iPhone 12 mini. I bought an iPhone 15 and gave it back after a few days. It was the size. 12 mini forever ✊
And by the way: from day one I have the apple saddle brown leather case and the saddle brown leather Wallet on. They match perfectly. 😋😚

Ive owned the 13 Pro since launch but recently switched to my mums 13 Mini as she needed a bigger screen to see the sat nav. I love the mini, it’s such an effortless phone, i really wish apple would release maybe like an SE 4 in this form factor. I sure do miss promotion and the telephoto camera but the trade offs are worth it for such a compact device

I thought the 15 pro will be too big and heavy coming from the 13 mini but it’s not at all. Totally love the upgrade, the battery and camera is a beast!
I personally would always prefer the smaller/smallest phones but like you said; the battery, and also for me I want the bright outdoor capable 1000 nit display(don’t care about resolution ) and bigger storage options (512 GB or 1TB).
13 Mini it is the Absolute Perfect sized phone and I am Very happy to see some people online who Finally agree with that. The major phone manufacturers keep trying to push these Massive phones. The is only One reason they push the bigger phones. Price. When you drop and break your $1500 7.1" smartphone it costs Significantly more to repair than the smaller one, a Huge profit for them. Phones are a Necessity for most so you are essentially Forced to buy one when that Massive screen goes black after taking a slight fall when they wont cover it
Got the iPhone 15 pro and went back to my iPhone 11 Pro for similar reasons. The camera bump on the newer phones are not only a lot larger and do provide great photos but with phone cases trying to be flush with the camera bump the phone is 1.5x thicker and ends up feeling silly.

IMO i feel jobs was right to always have a smaller size iPhone coz basically the primary purpose is to use for communication and if your want something for multimedia then there is iPad and air.
Now i feel it’s justifiable that you have different devices for your need but the current state of smartphones are so much of a power house. That it has become an addiction to people .
Now people in there 30s and 40s want to switch back to smaller size phone cause they realised the importance of other things.
Earlier tech products were innovative something really cool to know that such thing exist but now tech are just marginal upgrade from there previous model .
I agree! New devices are so incredible, but even ones from 2 years ago are still amazing. It's either I'm caring less with age, or the mini is just suits *me* better.
I'm 31. I dig all the new tech and everything in between, and I'll always review it where I can, but I might just hold onto my 13 mini as long as it works for what I need.

I hope Apple keep the mini around and separate from the yearly iphone cycle. Update it whenever there’s significant battery or chip efficiency improvements.
Just bought a 12 mini secondhand for the fun of it just to play around with. But I’m starting to use it as my daily because it’s kind of fun having a small phone that I can slip into my pocket and not even notice it’s there. I can go on bike rides, runs or trips to the gym without worrying that it’s going to bounce around in my pocket and threaten to come flying out.
Just finished paying off my 512 GB phone and plan to keep it a long time until there is a similar model with significant upgrades
Would love the SE series to start using the Mini footprint.

computers are cool, what this does is kinda crazy, gaming is nice too & everything is just built right in at a nice size, i liked that it got the 12 pro main sensor too

Struggling with this same thing. I have been back and forth between the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Really just want to go back to 13 Mini. But since I bought from Apple via trade-in and gift cards, I can't just return it for cash. I can only return it for an Apple Gift card, which sucks. Which means I have to sell third party and take a hit if I wanted cash to go back to 13 Mini. It's one reason why I'm considering going with the 15 Pro Max. The 15 Pro isn't that much smaller, might as well enjoy all the features.

Have a 12 mini and look every couple months to see if a 15 or 16 mini will be available. Don’t want a big phone, I have a Mac desktop, Iaptop, iPad, so if I need screen area I’ll use them. I’m 72 so only need to use screen rarely. Want a phone to talk to people, hate texting. Apple needs another mini to fill the gap, satisfy the users who could care less about big screens to play games on.

0:55 same. I upgraded to the s24 ultra just to try an ultra phone and traded in my iPhone. Tech nerd and while I can afford it will live my nerd life. Was hit hard after flossy's Sony phone review when he talked about his brother dying.

I never got a chance to try that 5x telephoto. I still really dig the 3x on my 15.
@@MinimalisTechI had both and personally enjoyed the 3x > 5x and to add, 2x-4.9x looked considerably worse on the Pro Max than on the regular Pro.
I use SE 3rd Gen though and I like it a lot 😊
If you own an iPhone mini it’s probably you want less screen time so for me the battery didn’t bother me

The only factor holding me back is the 13 Mini only has 4gb of ram which means apps will crash, close, or refresh often as you toggle between apps. If you have your map app up, then switch to safari, and toggle back to the map app, it'll close.
At first, they don't buy it, and when Apple stops producing it due to low sales, they suddenly begin to realize that it's convenient... You realized it too late.

I sold my 13 Mini because I dropped it accidentally, but I bought a new one that I use now. I cannot make any choices now because, for me, in my experience, the iPhone 13 mini is the best Apple has ever made.

I have the 13 mini before, but it's too small the notch to screen ratio is bugging me and the batt life is kinda average, I am now using the regular 13 and loving it, i believe the regular iphone is the perfect sz not too big not too small
Funny because I literally just found out that the 13 mini existed as I saw one in person for the first time lol. I had to have it and I just got it last night and I absolutely love it. Battery is perfectly fine and I don’t mind at all. The only thing that was a “problem”for me was the price, since they don’t make this anymore I could only find the 512 model new and i paid 1000 dollars for it. Also the 512 gb model with the mini has to be the most useless thing ever but that’s all they had and I had to have the mini. But for 1000 dollars I could have bought so much more lol, no regrets though . But why did they even make a 512gb model in the mini lol 😂
Yes, but imagine we had iPhone 15 or 14 mini with dynamic island, that would've been amazing. I don't know why most people like larger phones & as a result made them stop manufacturing mini models.
You don't understand this yet, but what you want, and what a lot of people want is an iPhone Mini PRO. AND IMO you want an iPad Mini Pro and a 14-16" iPad Pro that runs MacOS, possibly alongside IOS similar to Samsung's DEX Mode. So now you have an iPod that's a smartphone, a phablet iPad MINI pro for content consumption that actually has good cameras, and a large iPad that is like a MacBook split in two that doubles as a large iPad and a 2nd screen you can cast to from your phone and from iPad Mini PRO to have a super portable 2 screen work station.

I kept doing the same thing from 13 Pro Max until my daughter got to 4. I missed the telephoto and Macro but the 13 mini is the perfect phone if you have a toddler and a baby on the way. You need 3 hands with young kids not 1 hand!
LOL couldn't agree more. My 3 year old aint napping unless she's cuddled into me trapping an arm, so 1 handed 13 mini is the greatest.
@@MinimalisTech 😊 the best times! I upgraded to the Z fold 2 just before the pandemic and then we had our daughter. The 13 Pro Max was bad but the Z fold 2 had to be the worst upgrade I’ve ever done when had a young kid and trapped in a house as it wasn’t waterproof and was impractical 😂 like you I used to use 13 mini 95% of the time and swap to 13 Pro Max when we went on holiday post pandemic for the camera and battery. Said it before but love your content as it’s so relatable 😊
