Brand new to make up and never contour before. I have deep set hooded eyes and wider nose and eyebrows that are farther apart. So lighter can make nose appear less wide?

Greek nose tip that I'd like to suggest: I dab a little bit of hightlighter above the bump & on the tip of my nose instead of highlighting the entire length of my bridge like we see in most makeup tutorials
You have the best instructional videos, especially in shading/lighting, out of anyone ive seen! I absolutely love how no matter what I feel about my facial characteristics during these videos I always walk away feeling like im being too hard on myself. Ive actually shed a tear or two when you say everyone is beautiful, im reminded that even though I dont love everything about my face or body im still beautiful in my own way, and so is everyone else! I have the weirded shaped nose and even though I watched your video I still wouldnt know how to properly contour mine. My nose starts out with a strong, kind of long slant then it is somewhat bulgy like a bump on each side of the tip of my nose that kind of comes down in like a triangle shape and I have semi large nostrils. Not the easiest or prettiest nose to work with but im going to start experimenting with some concealers from L.A Girl or Loreal to see how I can make my nose work for me! Thanks so much for your videos, your sweet gentle spirit, and for helping people like me love and accept myself a little more. Please keep making videos! By the way you have an amazing voice and talent of singing! Dont stop singing or making videos!

This taught me more than anything anyone's ever taught me about contouring noses because the bump on the middle of the bridge of my nose makes that part look crooked, so when ppl contour it it only makes it look more crooked! I've never found a more detailed and perfectly analysed video about contouring noses. I have a nose which is broader from the top and has a bump on one side like Julia Roberts. It was always so difficult to contour it because regular methods never worked. I'm eager to try this method of erasing the shadows and hopefully will have better contoured nose soon :) Thanks a lot for this. You've made another fan :) :*

I think it would be extremely helpful if you did contour vidio on ASYMMETRICAL faces. Like when one cheekbone is more prominent than the other, or crooked nose, asymmetrical jawline, everything. you're so so unbelievably *good* at this! good at makeup, good at boosting confidence, but most importantly, you are so good at teaching. even if you're showing me something ive seen demonstrated and had explained before, i always have a eureka moment where i completely understand it when i didnt previously. your explanations are so different and rely more on common sense and art than the trendy phrases that most makeup artists use. i swear, i went from crap to great at makeup just from your videos. you need my testimony to sell something? i will give it!!! LOL
The only way I can explain it is to basically draw the nose you want on what is already there. I know that's blunt and probably won't help, but maybe if you darken the area around the tip of the nose it will look smaller. Sorry if that didn't help much. I'd have to see your nose I guess.
Riot_94 dark skadows on each side of the tip. I would also use a light shade across your entire bridge to make it look wider and more in proportion with the tip.
No. Don't make your nose bridge smaller or thicker. Leave that part alone. Just contour the rest to mame your nose slimmer. It doesn't mame any sense to make your nose bridge smaller if it's already refine.

Another tip i've heard from makeup artists is to use cool shade tones when counturing your nose, not warm tones because it will look muddy

I've never found a more detailed and perfectly analysed video about contouring noses. I have a nose which is broader from the top and has a bump on one side like Julia Roberts. It was always so difficult to contour it because regular methods never worked.
I'm eager to try this method of erasing the shadows and hopefully will have better contoured nose soon :)

I was going to say most makeup artist, but no!, I haven't seen a makeup artist, and I've watched a lot of videos and they don't really show how to contour their nose in detail, they just do it and with your videos I have finally discovered how to contour my type of nose correctly and the mistake I was doing and that is why I never saw the result I wanted. you're so so unbelievably *good* at this! good at makeup, good at boosting confidence, but most importantly, you are so good at teaching. even if you're showing me something ive seen demonstrated and had explained before, i always have a eureka moment where i completely understand it when i didnt previously. your explanations are so different and rely more on common sense and art than the trendy phrases that most makeup artists use. i swear, i went from crap to great at makeup just from your videos. you need my testimony to sell something? i will give it!!! LOL

my nose bridge is thin, but the tip is very bulbous. :( how can I contour the tip to make it look smaller?
The only way I can explain it is to basically draw the nose you want on what is already there. I know that's blunt and probably won't help, but maybe if you darken the area around the tip of the nose it will look smaller. Sorry if that didn't help much. I'd have to see your nose I guess.
Riot_94 dark skadows on each side of the tip. I would also use a light shade across your entire bridge to make it look wider and more in proportion with the tip.
No. Don't make your nose bridge smaller or thicker. Leave that part alone. Just contour the rest to mame your nose slimmer. It doesn't mame any sense to make your nose bridge smaller if it's already refine.
