They are both intelligent, real and explore things from different perspectives. That’s is what makes them unique. They should collaborate in a joint video!! That would be the bomb!
So in depth! I feel a lot of people wear makeup just because of Trends and it's not flattering to their face shape. I personally have problems with the infamous Wing because of the way my eyes are shaped at the corners
MzzzExtra you are sooo right. I love Christen Dominique, however, our eyes are so different, so while I re-created some of her gorgeous looks my eyes looked a little 😕? off. I realized I had to emulate her tutorials by *my* eye "rules (sounds so silly, since makeup has no rules [but you get the jiff]). Hopefully, you will soon find loopholes to master the look you want.
Nyc 123 that makes a lot of sense. There are just certain things you gotta do for certain effects. If you have droopy eyes AND you want to lift them, do this and that. I do the same with tutorials.
After many years of reading magazines, watching experts on television, watching TH-cam etc, I have finally learned how to apply eyeliner properly thanks to this video. Thank you!
I love how you give praise and encouragement to droopy or hooded eyes. I have droopy eyes and I’ve never liked them, I personally do find almond eyes with a high corner very attractive- reminds me of butterfly wings. But honestly, you are so sweet to give such love to all diversity of eyes
Okay but I just need to say: THANK YOU for using a beautiful inspirational woman for showing “droopy” eyes!! I’ve always been so self conscious of mine (ever since watching a TH-cam video saying you need to “fix” downturned eyes because they look like “basset hound eyes” 😢) and it’s so nice to hear someone saying they aren’t ugly ❤️ ❤️
I have done this for a while whenever I do eyeliner. I just noticed that it looked better on my downturned eyes to „stop“ the liner before it reaches the outer corner of my eye. You explanation now makes me understand why that looks better on me!
Ally, your tutorials have genuinely been *my* best changes. Thank you for making such quality content, I will never stop being excited every time I see you put out a new video.
Aly Art , you are the most gif-test person Ive ever heard of . With you saying you did everything to get your recordings out that amazed me . I wouldn't know where to start any of these things . I admire all you do . Along with all the things you do you also have an outstanding personality . A person can't help but admire and love you . I subscribed first time I watched your video . Thank you for taking precious time and doing all this for us .
It is so true!! I've tried so many tricks for hooded eye eyeliner, and felt like didn't work. One day I just did it not in the outer corner of my eye, but before and above the outer corner and I liked it a lot!! But I thought it was wrong that the liner was not so close to the lash line.
I have seen all your videos..you have that kind of peaceful in your voice . I can’t miss my day without see you video. I am learning from you how to speak and how to be confident. I’m a big fan of you from Saudi Arabia.
You are so gorgeous, gifted, very intelligent, and oh so very kind. You were one of my first TH-cam channels! Something happened to my phone and I lost you for a time but thankfully now have you back. You are a true teacher to every age. I’m almost 52 and I’ve found your videos extremely helpful. I can’t wait to hear your music❌⭕️❌❌
My eyes are also downturned and hooded. I need to say, you are the most amazing thing happened to me. I watched billions of videos about hooded eye but your eyeliner tricks really helped me.
Thank you Aly for spreading the message of understanding one's body and working with the lines the nature has given us instead of blindly following beauty gurus tutorials who look completely different than we do! I started to understand why I always felt better with big hair and in clothes without sharp lines and this makeup tip is very useful too. Please do a video on male body types or on how to see what bodytype someone is if they are overweight or even obese. That would be nice to know :3
I've always thought my eyes drooped a little so I try to keep the eyeliner lifted away from the corners of the eyes. Now I want to try extending it a little further down and see how it looks! I love how you point out the beauty in features that are often considered "imperfect".
my favorite and trust me I am a picky difficult type to please, a perfectionist (ugh.) Thank you for being a beautiful, talented teacher who presents the info like a champ. I kinda don't want you to get overly famous and marketed and all surgerized like Goss and others. (You sure as hell don't need it though!)
Hi, Aly! I tried your tip for enlarging eyes by using mascara only on the ends of the lashes and compared it with a regular eye. I added some brown liner in the upper water line and your tips made me look less tired and made my eyes look bigger. Thank you!
Ally, You’re are a true artist for sure! But I perceive you as a scientist as well. You bring perspective to the makeup scene on TH-cam that no one else does! Your videos are gold! Bravo girlie 👏
I have watched so many videos on "hooded" eyes and makeup tips for them. Your video explains it in a mathematical/scientific way that finally made sense for me. Now, whether or not I can do the makeup you suggest is another story, but here I go looking for a ruler...thank you!
I have been waiting for a youtuber who celebrates the variety in humans and suggests tips on making everyone feel good about themselves. I have a watched a few of your videos and you do an amazing job of it. Its some of the most positive body image videos that i have seen on youtube. Great work!!!!
I have droopy eyes and i almost watched every youtube video about how to do eyeliner with my eye shape and it never did any help. However after yours now I know how to do my eyeliner/shadow. This is simply the best and most useful trick thank you so much
I clicked for the tips but had to say you have the prettiest face I've ever seen. You are so lucky, I've honestly never even seen a model or actress pay for work to have such features, even your face shape is perfect.
Great advice! I have droopy corners and already figured this out by trial and error...but I didn’t really know why a conventional ‚flick‘ or eyeshadow application doesn’t work for me. Now I know 🙂
This is a very informative and Real( for Real people, video for us girls who may have problematic eye shapes) video, very interesting and I certainly will be trying this hack :)
Can you make a video on eyelid space. Some people have very close eyebrows with little lid space, and I have very high brows. I have a hard time knowing how far up I should take my eyeshadow. Some tutorials show the eyeshadow going all the way to the brow, but I would look crazy if I did that.
Yes me too!! I have hooded eyes with pretty much no lid space when looking straight.. but the space from my crease to eyebrows is so much! Everytime I follow a tutorial with someone with eyes opposite of me, it looks weird and clownish. Cut creases have to be done much differently too. I recommend Robert Welsh! He is a professional makeup artist. He has helped my makeup look so much better than any influencer. Plus he has hooded eyes as well. (But less eyebrow to crease space😩) I followed his beginner cut crease tutorial and my colors didn't look muddy when blending. He gives so many good tips. I blended the eyeshadow too far up so it looked somewhat clownish to me but didn't notice until I had went into the bathroom (better lighting). If anyone has any other artists who have my eye shape please let me know!
Like other commenters, I thought my hooded eyes were downturned...wrong. The ruler shows them to be upturned. Now I have A MUCH BETTER reference for my eyeliner. Thank you for making such detailed videos!
You show the beauty when others just see a flaw, for example all makeup "artist" try to correct the droopy eyes like it is wrong/defect, but I personally find that kind of eye very attractive too.
This was very helpful, thank you!! I have slightly droopy eyes and don't wear eye makeup because I feel they look worse, this information really helps to understand why that was happening.
Any advice for droopy AND hooded eyes? I don't have droopy eyes myself, but I am curious how someone would avoid folding the winged eyeliner into the lid creases (as I tend to do) while also using a winged liner to lift droopy eyes?
I love this! It is like I'm sitting in your personal beautyclass- school, where you are teaching us! I like that you give more traditional views/tips on things, I mean like using a ruler. As if the school could happen in any point of time, it could be set in the forties or fifties, too :D
Your chanel is absolutely my favourite chanel in the whole TH-cam, I subscribed so many channels including some really big channels, but believe me, you are the only one that I hit the notification bell, some of your videos I watched again and again. I don't want to miss any of your videos, because you are so analytical and inspirational, love you, wish you a very great career, thank you so much!
Did you know that Marylin Monroe had upper eyelid surgery to correct her hooded eyes? Yep! Look at her very early modeling pictures when her hair was still dark.
i literally learn something new in EVERY single one of your videos , aly !!! i never knew i had upturned eyes lol ! no wonder my eyeshadow felt off when i would do it too low on the sides! ty ty
I have hooded down turned eyes and I appreciate and love that you added that theirs nothing wrong with that and that you don't feel it needs to be corrected. Thank you for seeing the Beuty in all!!!
I just turned 50 and I am only now starting to wear makeup. I am struggling. This video made it a lot clearer. Thank you. I cannot wait to try it. I think I have droopy, deep set eyes.
Very well demonstrated. And, you got right to the point of the video, with clear explanation. Lots of examples, without unnecessary chatter. Thank you. I've subscribed and will listen to your music, as well!
TIL i have slightly upturned eyes. I've always admired them in others; never really knew i had them myself! Am a little happily shocked, haha. Thank you so much dear Aly for helping real women, and teaching us how to properly look at and value our own features! I've learned so much thanks to your work!! Thanks to you, i felt a little bit better about myself today. Thank you!
liked and subscribed within first 10 seconds because you got straight to the point, didn't have to wait a minute or two before the tutorial starts having to listen to a life story or to subscribe. Thankyou!!

SUBSCRIBED!! I can't stop looking at how good my eyes look with this new style! I'll still do the korean puppy dog eyes occasionally but my whole face looks so lifted with this. You gotta try it guys!

Genius. There is no such thing as one size fits all makeup and these tips are just so incredibly helpful.
I really love how you make everyone feel beautiful for being different...
Wayne Goss is the king of quick tips. Now you Aly, had turned into the queen!!!! 👏😍
Ambir91 I have only seen a few of them. Can you please suggest his "must see videos" please?
More than quick tips, there are makeup classes. You should have your own academy. ThankU Aly!!!
Nyc 123 u can watch videos about foudation.
They are both intelligent, real and explore things from different perspectives. That’s is what makes them unique. They should collaborate in a joint video!! That would be the bomb!
Clon Desirena yes 👏🏼

Very cool. I assumed my hooded eyes were downturned. Not so. My outer corners are actually upturned. I never would have seen this without your tip.
you explain things so clearly, without it being too edited with unnecessary effects and stuff. I rly like your videos!
Your upturned, slightly smudgy, lightly applied eye makeup makes you look ethereal, a goddess.
Best. Eyeliner. Tip. EVER!! I just did it and what an amazing difference. Something so small. Awesome video Aly!!
I have done this for a while whenever I do eyeliner. I just noticed that it looked better on my downturned eyes to „stop“ the liner before it reaches the outer corner of my eye. You explanation now makes me understand why that looks better on me!
*It’s such a beautiful feeling when someone compliments your eyes*
Aly thank you, you are our teacher 😘❤️👑
Korean makeup particularly that cute puppy dog eye look is popular, the liner curves down
chempanda Ik i love doing it like that it doesn’t suit me tho😭☹️
chempanda it’s original from Japan

Hi .I am Arabic woman I like you to much .you are best youtuber for me....tank you for all because you help me to much ......😗😗😗😗😗😗😗😗😗😗😗😗😗😗
This is honestly the best makeup channel
You make easily the best makeup tutorials on TH-cam. Most others are just trying to sell makeup.
This was in my recommended. I thought this would be gimmicky but it turned out to be really informative!
I have to say that i really love your contents, very intelligent and useful. Not only beauty tricks it's art to make everything looks better 💙
Great advice! I have droopy corners and already figured this out by trial and error...but I didn’t really know why a conventional ‚flick‘ or eyeshadow application doesn’t work for me. Now I know 🙂
Rara Avis Same. I could never figure out why a flick made my eyes look droopy.
This is a very informative and Real( for Real people, video for us girls who may have problematic eye shapes) video, very interesting and I certainly will be trying this hack :)
Same here, this is used happened with me alot , I also figured with trial n error, but never knew the reason.

Nikki W look up makeupgeek she has HUGE eye lid space. It’s the best for eyeshadow tbh

as always very precise and inclusive!
I am from the Twiggy era, I wish I was young again. Love your channel.
You're wonderful whatever era you associate with! Embrace what is yours!
You were amazingggg in explaining!! Thanks so much for taking the time to find pictures to edit and show us they really helped!
Was waiting for this specific topic. Thanks for your hard work :)
this just evolved my makeup skills 10 times! thank you

Aly... how can anyone be so genius...
This was more helpful than any tutorial regarding the flick. I have always struggled doing winged liner.
My eyes are lifted. I always thought they were droopy! (Because I have droopy eye lids) I’m amazed. Thank you.
I love this! It is like I'm sitting in your personal beautyclass- school, where you are teaching us! I like that you give more traditional views/tips on things, I mean like using a ruler. As if the school could happen in any point of time, it could be set in the forties or fifties, too :D
Good info. It does depend on eye and lid size however. Large eyes work great for lined lid. Small eyes, just at corners.

Omg amazing tip! Finally I understand why I couldn't ever get that perfect cat eye look thanks
Very helpful video. There are so many lashmakers that do not take the eye shape into consideration when applying extension lashes and that’s too bad!
You have the best and most informative tips & tricks for applying makeup. I have learned a lot from your videos. You make it easy! Thank You Aly
This actually helped. I saw the difference.
I don't remember how many times I've seen this video. I like to rewatch these jewels of yours Aly. Thanks a bunch! Besos desde México.
