Somewhere south of San Marcos there is a small hill that was once a small cliff where a cache of money and goods sit underneath the false hill. The cache was taken on a raid by Comanche that went as far as Corpus Christie to take it from a incoming train carrying goods and payroll. However upon being hunted down by Texas Rangers the large amount of goods from the raid were slowing them down . The solution was to bury the treasure at the bottom of a small cliff then dynamite was used that was also taken with the treasure to bury the treasure under a false hill. To my knowledge it has never been looked for or found. This is family lore that has been passed down by my Great Great Grandfather who was there and took part in the raid .
