    chigg if you ever read comments from people saying "they're arrow points not arrowheads hur dur", "you shouldn't pick up arrowheads", "respect native culture" don't even pay attention to them, my entire family or myself have never been offended by someone saying Indian or anything of the sort. I'm a full blooded turtle mountain chippewa Indian and damn proud of it.

      Actually in Texas “it’s illegal” to pick up arrowheads on public land

    • @6SugaR6MiLK6
      @6SugaR6MiLK6 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jphillips4371 not true, it's illegal to go out and actively search for arrowheads and such on public or state land, but if you happen to find one and pocket it and get stopped by the law you will be fine, now if you get caught with a bunch or with a sifter....well that's gonna be a hefty fine.

    Hello Aquachigger! I'm a new metal detectorist, but not new at fossil hunting. This video was taken in MY FAVORITE SPOT of the river. I've been wondering if coins can be found there. I've see all kinds of rusted metal out there, but I haven't been there since buying my metal detector. Loved the video. Thanks for not telling the exact location!

    That railroad nail you found is a "date" nail. They used to be hammered into ties when they were installed. Had the year they were put in normally. Have many of them from the 30's myself, collected them when I used to work for UPRR, good quality ones have some value.

    Hey Aquachigger, been watching your video adventures, reminds me of when I use to do this a long time ago! This trip to Tejas was particularly interesting, I was watching closely as you panned the ground where you ere digging. OK, here is my theory of what you were digging in. Have you ever had to clean out an old garage or workshop? I did once for a fellow whose Dad had died, lots of old iron and other junk like what you were seeing. From what you were going through it looks like some old guy's workshop junk that the kids cleaned up, swept up, put in a wheel barrow a long time ago and dumped on the river. The stuff dated from the late 1800s through around 1950. I saw some whole bullets that were interesting, one looked like an old .32 short for a S&W break action revolver. My Great Granpa had one, its from the 1880s, plus I had the original cardboard box from the factory. As for the D ring, well from the looks of the WW1 period bullets you found [minus the shell casings?] and the rivets, probably from an old Sam Browne officer's belt from the the first world war. The bullets were military .45 ACPs and some .03 rounds, one looked like a .50 Cal even. A cool little glory hole for sure. I was digging on an old colonial house site in Virginia Beach when I was a kid near our house, away from the house I found what must have been a work shop, old tools, some bullets from the first world war, even some 1911 period buttons to boot, plus an old hammer, muzzle loading shotgun. Anyway, love watching your videos! Oh, one other thing, once I think I saw you found an old round brass disc with a square small hole in the middle and you thought it was some sort of washer? That was a WW2 collar insignia disc. the branch of service device with its screwback passed through the hole of the disc. I think you found some other WW2 related items too.
