I absolutely adore Laura Reed, she has so much Lower Decks vibe to her and shows wonderfully that the humor concept of that series - e.g. geeking out when they get to visit the flagship - can work very well in a live action setting as well 😍 Two points of criticism however: 1. Can it be that Laura's scaling isn't quite right when she enters the bridge if the Enterprise? Cause it feels quite a bit off compared to the series... 2. I know animation is a challenging job, but even though it was blurred it felt rather weird that the Ferengi's lips didn't move. It essentially broke the immersion of the episode... Other than that I loved it, especially as Prodigy got a brush with the neutral zone last week as well 😁 - haven't seen this week's yet so can't comment there 😅
Such a joy as always to bring the adorable geeky lil ensign Reed to life 😌

@@SGUDistantHope Great acting, casting was perfect, battle scenes were great, overall great story! By the way, do you ever accept scripts from outside your group? I would be interested in writing for you. Thanks and have a great holiday!
WELL PLAYED INDEED!!
Ensign was GEEKING OUT!
Well YOU & what-THE 10 maybe 12 people who made this?!(not including all the funders & like-but YOUR ACTING ENSIGN WAS TOTALLY NATURAL! NOT A SINGLE NANO SECOND SAID OTHERWISE! A VISUALLY SOLO PERFORMANCE! & SHIP FILMING!! It was like watching a regular series!! FANTASTIC Job EVERYBODY!! ..(never seen That many Romulan ships-I've read they are 2miles long! MILES!! That's Bigger than the SDF BATTLECRUISER!! & PICARDS NAME IN IT LINKING TO WHAT WE KNOW NOT TO MENTION PICARDS FIRST COMMAND THE STARGAZER (type ship) different name-REALLY PROFESSIONAL JOB‼️‼️🖖
Personal initiative has been highly prized by Starfleet since the days of Captain Pike of the USS Enterprise; you will have your own command before you know it, Ensign Reed.
A VERY WELL made video
Thank you
Love the continuous tale of the little ensign. Keep doin wat ya do.
Oh, ouch... whoever was in charge of proofreading missed the misspelling of Ensign in the credits. That was a pretty painful ending to mar such a good story. 😢
Finally was able to sit down and watch this one. Samuel and his team are really making some special fan films. So glad I could contribute.
Well done, thank you.
From one trekkie to another really good job. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hats off.
Very cool episode. Love that she's related to Malcolm Reed.
This is fantastic! So glad I found this channel!
Thanks talk about Trek! What did you like about this film in particular? We would love to know!
@@SGUDistantHope I really enjoyed the documentary style of it. Look forward to watching more!

@@SGUDistantHope I enjoyed Ensign Laura Reed and the scene with the Ferengi and the bridge of the Enterprise D
Just so well made and Emma your quite the actress… hope Laura Reed has many more adventures x
Great work, Ensign.
extraordinary! awesome. great work there!
Oh my god Emma was perfect!!!! I didn’t expect her to be the star when I clicked
Splendid job of writing, acting, and visuals!
This is fantastic, Samuel. It is always great to see these films.
This made me want to rewatch star trek great work
A Constellation class ship survives a encounter with Warbird???? No way 😁
I absolutely adore Laura Reed, she has so much Lower Decks vibe to her and shows wonderfully that the humor concept of that series - e.g. geeking out when they get to visit the flagship - can work very well in a live action setting as well 😍
Two points of criticism however:
