I have to admit, that bike right there does somehow defy the physics of cosmetic evolution. Meaning, Honda could put that bike out right now as a 2024 model and it would still look cosmetically correct. The aesthetics would fit right in with a modern bike for sure. Just unbelievable.
I think it would need bit tweaks in the looks, but still it has stood out remarkably well and would be very easy to re-introduce to markets.
I have one
1989
Bike was 35 years ahead of its time
Super quiet
Fast enough
No vibration
Coooool dash
I have four bikes in garage two years on a row
Only the old 89 started on the spring !
Carbs and all!
I don’t even know where battery is !
Best commuter bike ever made I owned 3 of them the last had 75k miles it runs like new bulletproof for sure underrated for sure
I've been saying the same thing, since my first ride on a PC
For an old motorcycle it looks amazing and modern even today.
wow , that's quiet ! love this bike still looks exceptional !
A beautiful motorcycle, and a design masterpiece by Honda. I had the Deauville 650, and was tempted by the Pacific coast at the time, but probably too heavy for me now.
A beautifully designed bike and should have been in production for 20 years like the Helix scooter another classic. I'm turning 71soon and retired from riding a '89 1500 & '02 1800 Goldwings and downsized to a 250 '96 Helix.
My first bike was a 1994 Pacific coast. So cool to see one still around that isn't trashed. I rode the wheels off mine for years with 0 issues
How many miles on the bike?
Amazing bikes, I owned two of them, can ride all day long
These motorcycle are simply Amazing !
3 valve motors are underrated. The Ducati ST3 comes to mind, a nice blend of old 2 valve grunt and 4 valve top end rush. Great for sport touring...
I've got a black 94 I bought new I've been in love with it for 29 years I rode it yesterday I also have a 95 they are smooth to ride and little to no maintenance
Those are awesome, and look really nice. I've never seen one before. It's like a streetbike and a scooter combined. Thanks for the great video.
PC800 is quite remarkable. Never even seen one, but Honda absolutely should re-introduce this to market. Now when there's actual desire for good economics and as most manufacturers are "downsizing" their lineup this would be awesome. Just bit tweak to looks, slap modern Honda engine in, put goodies like heated grips and seat. Make it more accessible by making panels easy to remove for maintenance and I'd buy one immeadiately.
I've never even heard of this model and I'm in LOVE !!!!! What a killer bike with top of the line everything. Look at those brakes ! Damn !!!! EDIT : I WISH this was a scooter. OMG, a V-Twin, shaft drive ? This is THE baddest bike on the planet. Nearly zero maintenance, just oil. This is THE total old man bike and I LOVE IT !!!! I'm 55, into cruisers and scooters and this is SMACK in the middle !! This is the Helix's dad.
80s Honda = absolutely awesome 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice review for that beautiful 1989 Pacific Coast Honda.
I love how quiet the PCs are
I owned an '89 PC a for 3 years, bought it for s $990 rebuilt the carbs and forks. Dude the final drive mod. It was a great bike. I now have a ST1300.
Fantastic lookin' bike.
My motorcycle instructor rode one of these. When we had to follow him on the CB500 bikes we could barely keep up.
This bike was on my want list for a long time. Finally had one for about a year and really enjoyed it, but not enough to keep long term.
why not?
@@glovester my legs are really long and the seat/peg relationship was really tight, making the bike a bot uncomfortable for long days.
Stunner!!!! 😎👍🏼
I wish Honda would produce this bike again.
I owned 3 so far very reliable commuter the best for sure
I think these are a good deal for what your getting, if I was going to buy one this would be the one!
Ma gzosh, Kapllan. Asht kryeveper ky motorr
The bike is actually pretty nifty. Saw it on fortnine. And I gotta say the Microphone is doing a fantastic job picking up your voice
Its such a nice all around bike its a shame people didn't buy it.And remember it was made to be as Automotive as possible because it was built to make riders out of folks that never really thought about riding a motorcycle. Was supposed to also be kinda sorta reminiscent of a scooter.A huge scooter but a scooter none the less.Again it had to be attractive to the car only crowd.Still a wonderful piece of machinery. Shame it didn't sell well enough to justify making it better and better as the gears go by.
I admired this bike when it came out. Kind of a Deaville with a lot more protection. It is in my opinion a brilliant design that somehow did not succeed. It was the Pan European on a budget.
Everyone loves Moses!
Wish this was still for sale
Moses knows the deal.
This is great and can carry a few sacks of groceries, but you need the striking white CBR600(F1) to compliment it. That is a striking match for this bike.
With all the plastic, if these are not taken care of they start looking pretty bad. =Make excellent investments since not many left in excellent condition. = A true Museum Piece.
If Casper the Friendly Ghost rode a bike -it would be on this with all his ghost buddies in the storage compartment.
cool bike.
Baby gold wing very nice
This is the future in the pasta and Now it's so incredible actual Thanks Kaplan Here on'7:00 a:m It's a dream
Umm is that an attenna at the back ? if so then its got a factory radio them?
Moses Rules !
That shaft drive cover looks like a Honda Shadow 750s. I have always loved these bikes, quite rare in NZ
Ive never seen one in NZ at all, but then its amazing what people have tucked away here in NZ.
@@uhtred7860 I saw one on trademe one time for $3.5k - but you are right, never seen one on the road.
Not sure if they sold well here
The rear of the right-hand middle panel below the seat is not sitting right where it meets up with the trunk lid.
Have same bike
Same color
Had true pro Honda mechanic re work carbs
Runs like a new bike
Last spring only bike that started in my collection post winter
By far oldest
Cheyleesi bike. Fortnine did a good review also. But cheyleesi has been riding one of these for years in Tampa. Shadetree army
I like it,never seen one. They've covered every piece of mechanical engineering, even the handlebars.
They did that because they were pitching this bike at first time bike owners, people that had only owned a car, so they tried to make it look as much like a car as they could. According to Hondas marketing blurb anyway.
I own one you had one before was 1990 model candy red I remember this is the second time ken
Its beautifuly quiet
Moses is 100% right, she's a rare bike in that condition.
Basically the SilverWing of the future
Fell into a 1990 with only 2329 original miles a couple years ago.
Nice one! Currently in process of buying one that looks just the same, but a 91.... When I get it home I am painting it all black and making a knightrider themed bike. LOL
красивая хонда
If you didn't know any better you'd think its newer then an 89!
AHH the Milk toast pacific coast
I have a 96 800cc just hard to find parts
I am 6'-1" and I rode one which I loved but it was just a bit too cramped for me.
Comfortable if you have a 28 or less Inseam.
what a ship
$2300 hmm I just did all that work on mine...guess I will have to double the asking price!
How many miles?
I’m very interested, what is the price?
Hondas marketing said they pitched this bike at white collar first time bike owners, and obviously, it was designed by Honda Research America, for the North American market., tho it was sold in other markets. They tried to make it as much like one of the cars as they could, hence the car looking dash and trunk. Its an interesting bike, not my cup of joe, but interesting.
How much did this go for?
Wow
Perfect bike for the trailer park king
This guy reminds me of Patrick Swayze. 🤣🤣
In Indonesia we had Honda PC X
The PC-X is a 150cc scooter tho, this is an 800cc bike, that looks like a scooter.😄
In California you can get it for 1.500
And trust me;
She'll like it, too 😉
They should have used the 1100 motor instead.
How much for it please
Gran moto, purtroppo incompresa.
It's to quiet, nice bike
I have A CANDY RED 1991 Pc 800 i just had shipped from NY to LA…Thinking about letting it go 🤔 shoot me a price ???
I just had a weird and strange thought… What do you think the total number of times is that Sr has swung a leg over a bike? Any bike... Every bike... Do you think it would be up in the hundreds of thousands? I'm talking every bike he's ever owned, every race he's ever gone into, every test ride… I'll bet you he's lifted his leg over 1 million times probably. Something to ponder… Lol
Art in Middletown
Everyday for sure. If for some reason he cannot find a bike, (airport/travel) he still likes to swing the wing -out of habit.
Hahahahahaha!!! Yep.... he probably does!!!! A combination of force of habit/withdrawals. 🤣🤣🤣🙏
the plastic honda ahead of its time
Back to the future huh?
Pacific Coast? More like Caspar the Plastic Ghost.
The Honda PC800 was designed to be a commuter bike and it is the swiss army knife of motorcycles!
It looks like this one has the factory radio that came in the early models. You will never see one in this condition again it is a real museum piece. Unbelievable!
Aww common, it's Butt Ugly.
I have a Honda ST 1100. Better than that one!!
Like an uglier, lower powered Pan European ST1100.
God Bless America and Vote Trump 2024!
Like a mini goldwing
