While replacing my crankshaft position sensor I leaked engine coolant on the new sensor and the wiring. I waited 24 hours before attaching the wire plug to the sensor for it to dry. Could this be causing the 0339 intermittent error code i am now getting ??

Hey I'm a bit confused looking at this. You say to check or replace the crankshaft position sensor. But in the video you show the engine location for the camshaft position sensor? Which one is it and where would it be located?

I recently replaced my crankshaft position sensor on my 2007 Dodge Caliber 2L SXT, because I was getting a P0335, P0300, P0301, P0315. After replacing, I now get P0339 Crankshaft Position Sensor Intermittent. I'm wondering if I the new sensor I got is faulty ? or What would you recommend ?

Hello, we recommend checking if there's corrosion on the connectors for the crankshaft position sensor or deterioration on the wiring harness.

@@nondainc Hey thanks for the insight, I fixed it. It was simply bad luck, faulty NEW sensor from Autozone, went to the junkyard and picked up a OEM sensor from same year vehicle. Worked like a charm!

@TheTimetoRage yes autozone and advance auto are known for faulty cps's I'm dealing with it right now I knew I shouldn't have bought a carquest sensor from advanced but it was all they had in stock so I just bought it anyway and what do u know it doesn't work. I've had same issue with another car a few months ago and it took 3 tries for me to get a functioning sensor from autozone
