Can't believe how Gordon O'Byrne had to keep up the American twang all the time. I can remember his voice from the later 70's and, although 'styled' it was a normal Aussie accent.

I remember him at 6PR and he didn’t have an American accent then
Googie was still using the "Good Guy" yank inflection...OMG!! I've just realized that this air-check is almost 50 years old!!
When it came to yank accents he didn’t hold a candle to Dennis Cometti
