  • Is this a good choice for your car wash or auto detailing business? I take a look at the Karcher Cube K1700 and test the pressure and gpm that the pressure washer advertises against my own tests using a pressure washer gauge. I also adjust the psi and gpm of the unit by switching out different power washer nozzles from 15˚ to 40˚ and from approximately 1.5mm orifice up to a 3.0 Is this better than the 1600psi Ryobi Pressure Washer? Its hard to say, i really love my 1600psi unit from Ryobi (Model# RY141612) but this thing did perform amazing and has the ability to carry everything in its own storage area. Plus, Karcher has a great warranty and is readily available on Amazon!

    Good info. I'm looking into my first pressure washer. I've seen the detailed OG reviews, but I'm glad that you are recommending some other options for accessories (gun, hose, foam cannon, etc) that aren't as expensive as what OG recommends. I'm just a weekend warrior and don't need the super expensive, high-quality stuff. I'm a new subscriber as a result of your helpful videos.

    Here is a curve ball. OG says 3.0 40 degrees = 1000 psi. You mentioned it's possible that gauges differ and what you experience is 850 psi and that is the perfect pressure. I have tried to use my 40 degree 3.0 Simson nozzle and it equates to 1000 psi. Tried a generic 3rd party nozzle from Amazon and it came close to 950 psi. I decided to purchase one more nozzle, an MTM rubber protected aqualine nozzle, same 3.0 40 degree and it's at 800 psi. I'm scratching my head. I have videos to prove it but at this point it doesn't make sense to me. I figured it would be 1000 PSI especially coming from MTM.

    Thanks for all of the great videos. Loving the channel. Definitely making it hard to decide what PW to go with. I know you have a couple of mobile setups at this time, but what PW are you using in your shop? What kind of numbers are you getting? Output, PSI and GPM with what equipment? Thanks for your insight. Keep up the great work!

    Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

    I can't find a foam cannon that works with the K1700 Cube, they all seem to require 2.0 GPM minimum. I've tried two foam cannon that were supposedly compatible and the machine keeps kicking on and off, and barely any foam comes out.
    Is this related to the 1.1m foam cannon nozzle? The video doesn't mention it is necessary to function, just that it makes thicker foam.
    Any recommendations for a foam cannon model that is known to work? Link to this video's foam cannon is invalid.

    Does switching to a 1.1 orifice on the foam cannon damage the Pressure washer as it increasing the psi?

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good question that I never thought about before... the original nozzles the pressure washer comes with is pretty small so it not too much of a drastic change... it probably does bump up the amperage a little bit cause it draws a bit more from the machine. With that said, I have never had any issues with my pressure washer because of it. You really don’t use a foam cannon for that long so any potential harm would be very minimal

    I just bought the Karcher Kit from Obsessed Garage...it hasn’t shipped yet and I’m torn wanting the expensive Kranzle. After 3 weeks of use are you still enjoying this unit? Will it clean anything you throw at it for the most part? Great video btw.

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yea it’s a great machine! You can definitely get more powerful machines but this one is great too! Definitely change out the tip so you get more flow. Obsessed garage mentions that flow is more important than psi. Obviously you need a balance but with a 3.0 or 3.5 nozzle 40 degrees you should perfect

      Any of the karcher units will be more than suffice. Unless you need for use everyday the karcher will do everything a kranzle can do. I would rather save the money and use it on other tools and supplies you will need.

      @@samsmederovac9672 no the water has no difference... what pressure washer are you using and what is the psi and gpm rating? you probably need to change the orifice on your foam cannon. ill do a video on it soon! But this is the piece you need amzn.to/39K7nDT

      IMJOSHV - Car Detailing and Reconditioning Tips I’ve pretty much copied your setup with the Ryobi and the smaller jet for the gun just waiting on all the pieces to arrive. From what I’ve read there seems to be some that believe the softer the water the better the results out of the foam gun. It be cool to see a comparison of that. Nathan Bunn Yeah, interesting little unit but for $200 I won’t bother.
      But fortunately, upon further seeking, found this unit with same exact specs with CAT, in fact, same seller, just different brand at a lower price! Active VE52. For a small difference from K1700 cube with much more GPM, I don’t mind spending a little bit more. I’m wondering if putting 3.0 orifice nozzle on it, what will be its output psi and gpm. Since most of them don’t actually true to their ratings.
      I just hope someone will find time to make a review on this since this just been in the market for few months. Thanks.
