    Just bought one of these for the sole purpose of washing my car. Tested it out today and I’ll definitely have to upgrade the hose, it kinks tremendously, but other than that I’d say it’s a pretty solid pressure washer.

    I bought a Karcher Cube and put my quick connects on it today. For some reason I didn't have enough water pressure to use my MJJC Cannon when I had the quick connect on the hose end but if I took it off and put the hose on directly I had enough pressure. Does that make sense?

    • @garage.detail
      @garage.detail  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @theBtotheJ23 Unless there was a very obvious leak at the quick connect fittings, I don't see how there would be an issue with pressure since the quick connection isn't restrictive.
      I would try reinstalling all of the quick connections and bleeding the karcher for a minute then turn it on and run it without a nozzle for 10 seconds.

    at 3:15 you talk about the garden hose quick disconnect that is built in on the Ryobi but you have to purchase it for the Karcher. I don't see it in your list of where to buy them. Can you provide that please?

    • @garage.detail
      @garage.detail  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry if there was any confusion, the Karcher comes with a garden hose adapter that threads onto the inlet of the pressure washer while Ryobi has it built into the inlet the issue is if you strip the garden hose threads on the Ryobi you need to buy a whole new one but if you strip the garden hose threads on the Karcher you just buy a new adapter instead of needing a replacement machine.
      Neither of them are quick disconnect out of the box but can easily be made into a fully quick disconnect setup.
      The link is in the description under "Twinkle Star Pressure Washer Adapter Set, Quick Disconnect Kit, M22 Swivel to 3/8'' Quick Connect, 3/4" to Quick Release"

      @@garage.detail Thanks. That clears it up for me. I ordered the Karcher. It's good to know that adapter comes with it.

    I appreciate the fact that it holds pressure when off, but it appears that all that pressure is lost when you first pull the trigger again, and the water flow "stops and starts". So, exactly how is it better than others in the end?

    • @garage.detail
      @garage.detail  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Excellent question!
      Because of the longer hose there is a little bit more of a delay but with a 25' or 30' hose its basically instant when you pull the trigger just like a Comet, AR or Kranzle pressure washers. I need to get a new pressure gauge but when I first used it the Karcher held 2200ish psi and when I pulled the trigger the psi would drop to about 1500-1600psi and the pump would fire up and sit at its rated 1700psi when in use.
      So compared to other pressure washers that hold about 300 psi when the pump is off and when the pressure hits almost zero the pump fires up and then you have to wait for it to reach max psi, its better to have something that holds high pressure the whole time which is why all high end pressure washers have the very same feature.

    • @jarrydubbelyu2166
      @jarrydubbelyu2166 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@garage.detail ok, but I have a 50' hose too, so I'm going to have the same problem. It just seems rather pointless to hold all that pressure, only to lose it and end up at the same or lower pressure than other washers.

    • @garage.detail
      @garage.detail  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jarrydubbelyu2166 Not necessarily my neighbor bought one after using mine he has the same setup as I do and his is still instant the second the trigger is pulled even with the 50' hose.
      Mine could have some sort of defect but I do not care its an amazing machine for the price.

    I have the Karcher K1700 Cube 1700 PSI 1.2 GPM TruPressure Electric Pressure Washer. I want to wash the bugs and roof of my truck camper. It's 13 feet from roof to ground. It would be helpful to have a scrub brush to scrub off roadkill without needing to climb a ladder. Thank you for the links. I agree the cord is a pain. I have not figured out why sometimes the tank pulls the soap and other times it does not. What wand and brush can I use to reach up to scrub off the bugs?

    • @garage.detail
      @garage.detail  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for the late response, for detailing the soap tank is pretty much useless I would recommend using a foam cannon instead of the soap tank. For long reach brushes my go to is the Autofiber Mitt on a Stick PRO.

    Which will be a good pressure washer for a detailing garage? can i go with k1700 and may be upgrade it later if needed? Asking as i am opening my first detailing studio.
    thanks for your time and great video

    • @garage.detail
      @garage.detail  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      k1700 is a great starter pressure washer but for a business washing cars daily it may not last very long, all non-servicable pressure washers dont usually last longer than 100 hours before the pump or motor give up.
      but to answer the question yes, it will get the job done for a while but then I would upgrade to a comet, AR or krenzle.

    Why does it hesitate at first when foaming?

    • @garage.detail
      @garage.detail  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. This will be a long explanation... There are a few reasons, karcher unlike most lower end pressures washers the hold roughly 300psi when you let off the trigger, Karcher holds roughly 2000psi.
      Which is why you see a quick burst of foam when the trigger is pulled initially, then pressure drops, machine ramps up, and normal foam is produced.
      The delay is much longer with the hose I use vs the stock 25ft hose that is provided with the machine. I've tried it with a 3/8" hose vs the 1/4" uber flex and the reaction was much better with the 3/8" hose probably even faster than the stock hose.
      My guess is the 50ft 1/4" hose takes longer to flow once trigger is pulled which in turn the machine doesn't notice the pressure drop as rapidly, which is why I think a 3/8" hose fixes the issue of running a longer than stock hose.
      With all that being said I still use the 1/4" 50ft uberflex with all my pressure washers.
      Hope that very long explanation answers your question and I hope to have more content coming soon.

      Imagine filming and editing with it leaking, it was terrible.
      Brand new valve too and unfortunately I had to use it because my hose spigot is far away.
