This is pithy. There are so many misconceptions about impermanence and rebirth as it applies to Buddhism esp. from non-Buddhists. Thich manages to cover so much in such a short time, he is so succinct! This is a good one to share with my non Buddhist nihilist friends who raise their eyebrows at me cynically at any mention of reincarnation. Thank you so much. 🙏

It is really wonderful that modern science proves the words of the Great Master! The new paradigm of the world is Wholeness. David Bohm, quantum physicist, speaks about implicate and explicate orders. There is permanent unfolding and folding of the two. And the law of energy conservation says that nothing comes from nothing and becomes nothing. And we are aware of that because we ARE this world. We are aware of our existence. We have the sense “ I am”. “ That Being is and I am That.” So simple!) Thank you! 🙏☀️

"If you get that, you are no longer afraid " . Could someone explain this to me ? Why would becoming a cloud make me less afraid ? What I am afraid of is losing sentience. And a cloud has no sentience. So I am still afraid even at the prospect of becoming a cloud. I have heard that his view is that everything has consciousness. But I am still confused. But when he says nothing is lost, that is a very comforting statement. He is a wonderful person, no doubt

Think more about what you mean by the word "I". What exactly are you referring to?

    • @jenniferspring8741
      @jenniferspring8741 ปีที่แล้ว +2

understand what you are asking. The way I would put it is thatI don’t want to lose the love in my heart for the people and the other experiences of life that have meant so much to me. But I think ‘sentience’ and consciousness must also be undying yet constantly transforming, just as the physical. So I find peace in accepting that the nature of consciousness is more mysterious than I can understand, and that somehow my love also will not die.🙏

@@jenniferspring8741 yes thats what ajahn brahm said. When someone dies the love is still there. Sounds musterious indeed.

If you go really, really deep, you can feel what you really are. Universe. Experiencing itself.
Video that helped me with this: Enlightenment is not an exotic experience by Rupert Spira.
Only thing that's needed is to notice that part in you. And there is part, that is peacefull and happy no matter what.
In Plum village videos, relly good are about Island of self. Being an island into myself.
      Also verse:
I have arrived, I am home.
It is not a proclamation. It is realization. You can notice that no matter what, you are whole and safe.
What you seek is the light with which you seek. And you are the very same light. Consciousness. Awareness.

    Thank you for this sharing🙏🏻
Im wondering well not wondering but.
Looking at the source of every drive to escape or overcome or not .
    What is it under this.
    The quiver inside..
    It’s love for me.
It’s the deep appreciation for existence that I am.
I don’t want it to ever end.
Its magnificent to even glance at anything thats not nothing.
No matter how ill and ignorant I may measure as opposed to another.
I want to continue from a core of love.
Then I want to share this realization with others.
No matter their filters of expansion.
Do I cause suffering from my perceived unveiling for the other?
Is the relief final or only a step in an endless amount of steps?
Is it that something as big as faith and abandon and the mastery of this is whats being offered.
Yet the love inside at the realization that others haven’t grasped a relative level of joy that we continue...
How can one anywhere be joyous when the knowledge that another somewhere suffers.
And perhaps its the suffering that will never be vanquished.
If so everything nothing would not be necessary and cease.
    Who knows?
    Yet everyone cares.
Cares to continue in love and awe and love and awe.
    🙏🏻🌸🎉🧘🏻‍♂️🧘🏼‍♀️
Well some years ago I was introduced to you Dear one here.
And I would not trade the before for the now . Not for anything.
Except to prevent the existence of another to cease dear one.
Not really? And if not the courage at that moment. My continued existence would then be grounded in suffering .
So I ponder are we not grounded in suffering as equally as in joy.
And require frequent fortification anyway to palette living at any moment?
    Bless All Ways🌸

It depends entirely on the perspective you carry and who you identify as 'we'
      "We suffer"
      Indeed!
I've found one of the most difficult separations of perspective is me/they (which is fundamentally one of Thay's most visited topics. This separation is an illusion. (A relative illusion).. but an illusion nonetheless

like confirmed in Physics: matter is not lost but transformed, "dead" frees up particles (electrons etc.) that get transformed and rejoined differently (but not destroyed). Is not the pain that makes fear (and not the dead itself)?

Looks like you are emphasizing the use of English or English words during your air journeys to ensure the safety of the air journey. There is nothing wrong to ensure safety like as these days as it is felt that there are weird feelings or adverse circumstances these days during the flights. But if safety is being derived or felt these days during the flight or air journeys with the use of English or English words, some people can equally feel that the use of English or English words in regard to various ticklish problems these days particularly in the midst of peculiar problems relating to strange type of duties in strange & awkward places. The use of English can equally ensure safety & resolve the problems.
Perhaps, the English narratives emanating from time to time in the background must have strengthened people’s this belief because He exists in all all languages & also in English. However, regardless of whatever experience you may come across, it looks like that the use of English is surely ensuring the mitigation of Fear for the masses. And, the results in the background prove it & break your fear factor & lift your nerve.
I for myself have seen that in hosts of our family’s problem both in USA or in india, wherever I have written in English & clarified at length, I have invariably seen that tangible results have emerged. Else, the matter would have got exacerbated.
Perhaps, the God also found it easier to handle it as English has forcefully stayed in these out Cases & His Orders have emerged here & there in English. In other words, in the midst of strange & weird assaults, I find English is tremendously mitigating the Fear. Those who would have traveled with those English matters in wake of shutdowns, must have realized this. That is both balmy & invigorating. So, if you find the role of English in reducing the Fear, it is commendable. And, English contributory factor is surely there to lessen the Fear or phobia.
