Grace & Ryosuke, I wanted to thank you. I'm a SAHM and a caregiver for my husband. I rarely make it out of state much less the country. I don't know how I found your videos and I was never obsessed with Japan before but coming along on your adventures makes it feel like I'm on a mini vacation. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Japan with us. Please eat more delicious food! I love those videos as much as you love making them. P.S. you guys are adorable. Obviously so much in love, completely perfect for each other.
I have a chronic illness, that's getting worse with age. I agree about it feeling like a mini vacation with them. It's quite fun. I also recommend Rachel & Jun's channel and Happy in Japan channel.
The moment at 10.04 when Ryoske puts his hand on Grace's shoulder and she glows :-) :-) :-) Ryoske and Grace's marriage reminds me of a few of my friends who married their best friends. Their marriages are so different from others. I decided a while ago, that I'd rather be single than settle for anything other than that. #relationshipgoals
Hi Grace and Ryosuke, just wanted to say I love your videos. I lived in Japan for 14 years and married a Japanese girl 15 years ago. I have just bought your 3 comic books and sadly I'm coming back to Japan next week to lay my beautiful wife to rest as she passed away after fighting cancer a month ago. Keep posting the vids as they are keeping me positive :) Darren
I know I'm very late for this @Darren Duncan please forgive me and I do so apologize if I had upset you an anyway.... My condolences and heart goes out to you and your family for the lost of your wife to that horrible disease.. There aren't any words that can be said to heal your mind, heart and soul when you have lost a loved one, your best friend and your partner in life...
Grace, Thanks to you both for taking us along on your "dream vacation". You've discovered what I found out. That if you get to a place super early, usually you can avoid the "crowd"! You waste some extra sleep but gain extra convenience.
Yeah! It's hard waking up so early (and for those first 45 min I usually regret all my life choices) but after a bit of coffee, I can function again. And it's SO nice being able to get that extra couple of hours to sight-see, while everyone else is asleep.
It's sad that the first thing that comes up when you search Fukushima is the nuclear power disaster. I think there's a misconception that the whole place is some nuclear landscape now when in truth, it is vibrant and full of beauty and nature. Thank you for the lovely vlog!
So peaceful, and also so cute....Ryosuke really digs you. I want to go to Japan, but I am afraid that I will not want to come back. Everyone there seems so quiet, laid back, patient, and nice. I need that in my life.
your channel and videos should have millions of subscribers and views. the music, editing, your easy nature and fun attitude, mixed in with just the right amount of history and education make for easy watching, love it.
My depression has been really kicking my butt recently, but I could not help smiling all the way through this wonderful video :D Thanks for the pick-me-up! Love you guys.
Real talk Grace. This channel of yours has come so far it's actually really inspiring. I'm sitting here with my morning coffee enjoying these slow pan shots of you and Ryosuke drinking tea and I can't help but soak in just how much this whole thing has come along in just a few years. Honestly, the hard work you've put into this whole thing is at this point very obvious.
I so enjoyed this video.. I'm so sorry you've stopped making videos... but at least you have many for me to go through. Love your love for each other.. so refreshing... and inspiring..
You probably heard this already about the white leaves, but I imagine that the water has a high lime content that just coats the leaves. Like sulphur baths the lime feels great when you take a dip, but you will want to shower afterwards.
I just saw you guys at HEB!! I was driving by and you both crossed right in front of my car!! I can't believe it!! I was SO sad I couldn't get out to say hello. There was just too much traffic and ya'll were walking to your car. I think I'm still a bit in awe. It's crazy because I just subbed to you guys a few weeks ago and I've watched a ton of your videos. I just love you guys! Anyway, it was really cool to see you, even though I couldn't say hello. You two looked absolutely beautiful!
I don't know how he couldn't be. Grace is one of those girls who is way way hotter than she realizes which makes her a huge catch. I'm super jealous of Ryosuke.
Watching this video reminded me why I enjoyed Japan so much, particularly how quiet it always seems (even in big cities!). Thank you for taking us along with you!
It's really nice to see just how beautiful and majestic Fukushima truly is in light of the negativity that the media has been directing toward it. The area is bursting with life and natural beauty, and I would love to visit.
It's such a beautiful prefecture - and it's a shame that its' reputation has been completely tarnished because of the plant on the East edge of the prefecture :(

Amazing adventure, amazing hosts! That forest and temple have melancholic feeling I can't explain. I think it is because of the people who once lived there. Maybe they felt the same awe about the place, but we will never meet them. Feels like a connection through time.
Guys, I don't want to alarm you, but someone was following you and filming you from afar the whole time! Oo Still, it was worth it, the video is great; beautiful castle, beautiful lakes and amazing looking food!
Grace is so sassy & outspoken and Ryosuke's so silly & supportive. It's cute. You're both so relaxed after your bath!! I'm glad you were able to get this opportunity and enjoy it to the fullest.
How tall are you Grace? And Ryoske? The beauty of that lake is unbelievable! Although those leaves when it touched the water became white is suspicious.... I wonder if there is still some radiation?
I've seen those permission pieces of wood used in the local schools here on O'ahu. They use them as bathroom passes. Mahalo for sharing your beautiful journey!
To everyone wondering about the white leafs: The Goshiki-numa are vulcanic ponds and contain lots of minerals. I've never been there, so I never tried to taste the water, but I bet it's salty. The leafs might become white while dipping into the water on windy days. BTW, I was a bit irritated by your visit of Fukushima, because theres a prefecture of Fukushima, a town called Fukushima and when the world speaks about the catastrophe the exploded power plant, it's also Fukushima. But you were about 70 Km away from it, weren't you?
Gah, love your "A Day in My Life" videos so much, and the travel ones are especially nice. You eat awesome food and see beautiful places and you're so chill and happy. You're an adorable couple. Wish you tons of happiness!
Wow I feel like I just went on vacation while watching this! You showcased everything so well! Wonderful video! It really looks like you guys had fun! 💖
Those lakes were amazing. I looked up the reasons for the water colour. Mt. Bendai erupted in 1888, decimating the area and depositing tons of minerals into the environment. Would love to get my hands on some geomorphology papers on the area!
Hi guys, just wanted to say that I loooove watching your videos! You're one of the most inspirational people of youtube. I love your attitude to life - enjoying it, being so passionate about new places, new food, always wanting something new and exciting, being at the same time modest and humble in a way... I look up to you, really xxx greetings from Poland!
John Fenton " In the beginning they say how they are there with other Tourists I can see how someone would just walk up and offer them to hold the camera so they could get them both they probably took some pictures as well! That's my guess?"
I just loved this video, Love is the correct word to express the feeling that my eyes could catch, the nature, the japonese tradition (food, monuments, poop studies in the advanced ancient culture, ...), the sound music of the video and the love that you both feel for each other, that are so pure truthful, just made the right combination to the video. :') thank you very much, hope some day I could go to Japan :')
Grace you had a bell on the wooden tag that you won and you did not use it when going thru bear country. Ever heard of bear bells hikers use. It was perfect for the hike. Wow! What a shot the reflection of the lake side and the blue of the lake.
I used to have one! Ryosuke gave it to me after I had a minor freak-out (very minor, really - we were camping in Akita and there was a beware of bear sign like RIGHT next to our cabin and all our friends kept making fun of me and/or making bear noises when I went outside at night)... and I had it on my bag for a couple years before it got so annoying I took it off. And then lost it. Oops.
This video hit me for real, I got goosebumps from it. I've been to that place with the five lakes almost 1 year ago during my 3-months trip through Japan and I could recognize every single spot they filmed. It just made me realize once again how much I love Japan. Thank you! :')
Hey, thanks for the reply! Yeah, I was kinda trying to avoid very touristic places and it was definitely worth it! I know right, Japan's nature is so beautiful. I was there in November, so unfortunately I couldn't really catch the autumn colors around the lakes. It was still gorgeous though. I've been watching your videos for quite a while now, but I don't really comment a lot. Now that I'm already at it, you both have great personalities and I wish you the very best for your future. Love from a fellow Japan-lover :-)
Only recently found your channel - but I've really enjoyed what you two are sharing of Japan. One day I will get to travel there, and I love the way you show a side of Japan apart from the glass and lights of Tokyo. Keep up the storytelling!
For some reason i always feel so calm when i watch your videos. Suddenly all the anxiety is gone and it feels like all is well in the world😂 Sounds so weird but i think your voice really calms me and i admire your simple lifestyle. Im sure your life can sometimes be really hectic too but yeah i dont know.. you just manage to capture peace and happiness in your videos. And of course the beautiful sceneries from Japan help ;)
glad to hear im not only one❤ i never really understood vlogs before but after i found this channel about a year ago under huge exam stress i had to change my mind :)
Thank you for sharing more of your travel videos Grace & Ryosuke! Really enjoy seeing the interesting adventures you two go on and the wonderful food you eat. I don't have money to travel, and am a busy parent, so watching your videos is the next best thing!
1 Great video! 2 I love how do everything so enthusiastically, including loving each other, (hope that part isn't too weird). 3 Great footage of the carp. 4 I think the double helix was very modern thinking, like early understanding of DNA. Maybe. 5 I am so glad you showed up on my feed b/c I really love your channel. I have been to the Japanese market and am adding the cuisine to my cooking repertoire. 6 I hope someday I can look as cool eating noodles as you do Grace =) And so on....
I love traveling with you guys in your videos, added plus you guys are reaching "expert" level when it comes to video editing! Music was spot on. Look forward to your next installments!
I hope you guys are doing well. You guys have such nice, fun, and pleasant personalities. I love these videos. It feels a little like I'm traveling with you guys. I lived in Japan for a short while and these little travel videos make me feel nostalgic for Japan. Anyway, just wanted to say I miss you guys!
I'm guessing they're using a tripod. They film themselves walking away, then they go back & get their equipment when they've got the shot. Just a guess.
Awesome video. Thanks so much. Will hopefully add this destination to my next Japan visit. My favourite castle is at Matsumoto and I highly recommend a visit there.
Sazaë-dô (Turban-shell Pavillion), yeah, it looks like it. Those buildings, the history there, and the scenery, are peacefully shining with the warm air flowing between you guys. Thanks! P.S. those white leaves on the lake are interesting.
14:43 The leaves changed white because the anthoxanthin pigments in the leaves reacted with the acid in the water. If I understand correctly the water is acidic from the eruption of the still active Mount Bandai 128 years ago. Did you guys receive any information about the lakes while you were there? It seems to be a very beautiful area, it's a shame the lakes are to toxic for life.
My Goodness, what a beautiful video you guys!! I had a smile from ear to ear, the nature, history, architecture, food, just everything, this was so wonderful to watch! You guys are so awesome, thanks again for sharing your adventures and will be patiently waiting for the next one!! Love ya'll from Houston, TX
I really do appreciate you two. We've never met, but so many of your experiences are, and have been, similar to our own (the only difference is we now have four children ;) ). Keep up the good work of these videos. Thank you .
As others have made mention, the authentic presentation of both location and the two of you experiencing everything was awe inspiring and heart warming.. especially nearing the end.. so not "he's too nice" but rather "y'all are genuine and lovely." ^^
That Helix house was SO awesome!! I would love to visit Japan, Im trying to teach myself a little bit so the language barrier will not be so big. Thank you for showing us such a beautiful city.
You guys are so cute! I've always wanted to go to Japan, so I'm discovering all of these channels recently. You're a blast to watch, you're so entertaining and I love watching the two of you together. You make Japan look like a really amazing place to be. Thanks for your videos! Watching your adventures together is great fun.
humidity sucks fortunately i have not dealt with it much but once i start traveling especially to japan looks like i will have to. fukushima looks like it was amazing just another place to add to my list !
I love watching your videos. You should become a tour guide. Being an American in Japan showing very small groups of people around and recording it would be so much fun to watch.
Love the Double Helix temple. So many ancient shrines and temples in Japan. Coincidentally, I was eating ochazuke (with natto and kim chee) while I was watching your video.
Its funny how you mentioned that you were having a bad hair day. When I saw the thumbnail for the new video the first thing I thought was, "Oh, Grace's hair looks so pretty!" Also, I was enthralled with the castle and the double helix temple. So beautiful.
This is the second video I've watched from y'all and I'm so happy to see another Grace who is also from Texas. I've only met a few people named Grace in my 21 years and it's always nice to meet another. Thank you for your videos! Subscribed!
"I just can't get enough of how beautiful you are."
Awww!!! Grace, you are do lucky to have him!!!!!! 💖💖💖
I really, really, really, really am

That glow could legit light a city. :3
Agreed, this is the kind of marriage I want. :3

Ryosuke randomly telling you how beautiful you are is goal.
He's good at flirting~
9:06 Omg I misheard Ryosuke say "beautiful bitch"
what did he actually say??
lol i think beautiful peach.
+ A. Dayana ''Beautiful peach''
you sir have a dirty mind, that's all
In the first moment I heard that too xD
Hi Grace and Ryosuke, just wanted to say I love your videos. I lived in Japan for 14 years and married a Japanese girl 15 years ago. It is so cute and refreshing to see Ryosuke flirting with Grace even though they are married.
Get some butter in your coffee, and you wont get much of a crash. I don't know how it works with ice coffee though.
It's sad that the first thing that comes up when you search Fukushima is the nuclear power disaster. I think there's a misconception that the whole place is some nuclear landscape now when in truth, it is vibrant and full of beauty and nature. Thank you for the lovely vlog!
Yeah I cant help thinking of that every time I hear Fukushima. Wouldnt stop me from visiting if I could.
So peaceful, and also so cute....Ryosuke really digs you. I want to go to Japan, but I am afraid that I will not want to come back. Everyone there seems so quiet, laid back, patient, and nice. I need that in my life.
Japan can be very addictive - especially the countryside :D
your channel and videos should have millions of subscribers and views. the music, editing, your easy nature and fun attitude, mixed in with just the right amount of history and education make for easy watching, love it.
They stopped uploading videos but here i am repeatedly watching their past videos. Wonderful.
My depression has been really kicking my butt recently, but I could not help smiling all the way through this wonderful video :D Thanks for the pick-me-up! Love you guys.
the nature and everything is just so beautiful
It was sooooooo lovely!
Very jealous! Really hope to visit one day!
Me too! It's gorgeous!
So envious, what a beautiful place to visit, and the two of you are such a wonderful couple. Thank you for posting this video 😊
Sierra Brown i envy of him..
You guys are the most adorable couple. Please make these videos forever!
Real talk Grace. This channel of yours has come so far it's actually really inspiring. You probably heard this already about the white leaves, but I imagine that the water has a high lime content that just coats the leaves. Like sulphur baths the lime feels great when you take a dip, but you will want to shower afterwards.
Gotcha. That makes sense!
Man I wish they started making videos again :,))
These are my favorite kind of videos from you guys. These long format travel/nature videos. They are so peaceful and relaxing.
It was cute how Ryosuke was all over Grace through out the video ^-^
Almost TOO much!
Ryosuke obviously forgot about the PDA in Japan video they did.
I don't know how he couldn't be. Grace is one of those girls who is way way hotter than she realizes which makes her a huge catch. I'm super jealous of Ryosuke.
Can we just take a moment and agree to clone Ryosuke so all women can have one? he's adorable. XD
A marionette? XD
Absolutely stunning! I think this is one of my favorite travel videos from you two, so far. .. Thanks so much for sharing.
Guys, I don't want to alarm you, but someone was following you and filming you from afar the whole time! Oo Still, it was worth it, the video is great; beautiful castle, beautiful lakes and amazing looking food!
Good thing they were nice enough to give us all the videos they took :D
Grace is so sassy & outspoken and Ryosuke's so silly & supportive. It's cute. You're both so relaxed after your bath!! I'm glad you were able to get this opportunity and enjoy it to the fullest.
I don't know why I love watching you so much. Even 4-5 years after y'all gone.
How tall are you Grace? And Ryoske? The beauty of that lake is unbelievable! Although those leaves when it touched the water became white is suspicious.... I wonder if there is still some radiation?
I would guess it was due to the high calcium content of the lake. Calcium would also account for the aquamarine color of the lakes.
thank you chew bird!
of course there is, and will be fr a loooong time
I think Grace said once in a blog post that she is fairly tall, but I don't remember.
I'm 168cm and Ryosuke is like 183cm?
You two are so sweet together, it melts my heart. Wish you both a lifetime of happiness and for us, lots more videos!
Don Krypton there are also several other towns called Fukushima in Japan, plus an inner city area of Osaka ;) they went to the prefecture in general.
Nice background music, and a fun trip! Thanks for sharing it with us. Interesting perspective with a third wheel holding the camera.
I'm glad I found this channel. Your adventures are a lot of fun to watch! :)
@05:05 Isn't that song The Moon over the Ruined Castle playing in the background. I had to learn that on the Shakuhachi, memories
Daww, you guys are darling! Thank you for taking us on your trip with you. It was beautiful!
Impressive first shot, Grace! I love archery.
Gah, love your "A Day in My Life" videos so much, and the travel ones are especially nice. You eat awesome food and see beautiful places and you're so chill and happy. You're an adorable couple. Wish you tons of happiness!
You two are adorable! Thank you for taking us along on your trip.
The melody at 5:05 in the Background... "Kojo no tsuki" (eng: Moon over ruined Castle) - love that so much!
I was especially impressed with your videography herein along with the sweet & sensitive music. Nicely done!
Some of the views were very breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
I enjoy your videos so much. They allow me to see things I wouldn't otherwise get to. thank you!!
Wow I feel like I just went on vacation while watching this! You showcased everything so well! Wonderful video! It really looks like you guys had fun! 💖
Garnet agree. Great video u two!
Thanks! We had a great time :D
Beautiful! You did an excellent job really documenting what this place is like. Gorgeous and a nature lovers paradise it seems!!
I was not feeling well tonight but watching your vlog with all the beautiful scenery really made me feel better. So beautiful and peaceful.
I hope you feel better soon!!!
Those lakes were amazing. I looked up the reasons for the water colour. Mt. Bendai erupted in 1888, decimating the area and depositing tons of minerals into the environment. Would love to get my hands on some geomorphology papers on the area!
Ahhhhhh, that makes sense! Cool.

Who assists you on filming? They really capture your love for each other without feeling contrived
John Fenton that is exactly what I was thinking as well.
John Fenton " In the beginning they say how they are there with other Tourists I can see how someone would just walk up and offer them to hold the camera so they could get them both they probably took some pictures as well! That's my guess?"
Grace replied to this question in the comments. She said a videographer from Planetyze accompanied them.
John Fenton looks like a drone, the way it moves is very similar
I just loved this video, Love is the correct word to express the feeling that my eyes could catch, the nature, the japonese tradition (food, monuments, poop studies in the advanced ancient culture, ...), the sound music of the video and the love that you both feel for each other, that are so pure truthful, just made the right combination to the video. :') thank you very much, hope some day I could go to Japan :')

I hope that you two stay together and happy forever! Your videos always make me smile :)
Great video, Fukushima looks beautiful and very relaxing. Visiting Japan is my no.1 item on my bucket list.
Grace you had a bell on the wooden tag that you won and you did not use it when going thru bear country. Ever heard of bear bells hikers use. It was perfect for the hike. Wow! What a shot the reflection of the lake side and the blue of the lake.

Oops.
This video hit me for real, I got goosebumps from it. I've been to that place with the five lakes almost 1 year ago during my 3-months trip through Japan and I could recognize every single spot they filmed. It just made me realize once again how much I love Japan. Thank you! :')
Woah, really? That's so cool! I want to come back when the leaves are changing color to see the contrast with the lakes.
This video is expertly made. One of my favorites, hands down.
Only recently found your channel - but I've really enjoyed what you two are sharing of Japan. One day I will get to travel there, and I love the way you show a side of Japan apart from the glass and lights of Tokyo. Keep up the storytelling!
I find your videos so entertaining and relaxing. I remember watching your first video, worrying about lighting. You've both come along way.
Beautiful place, beautiful couple. I'm glad y'all had a good time, it is gorgeous in Fukushima. Camera footage and editing is wonderful too!
Their personalities are so soothing it actually removes stress
So much this! I actually save any new video for when I "need" it :)
Couldn't agree more! That and the fact that they're so adorable and precious in their relationship as a couple~
glad to hear im not only one❤ i never really understood vlogs before but after i found this channel about a year ago under huge exam stress i had to change my mind :)
Thank you so much!
I actually save my favorite old videos to re-watch when I'M feeling anxious/depressed. I'm glad they help y'all too!
I did archery in college but haven't done it since. I liked it. I wasn't the best at it but I did okay.
Thank you for sharing more of your travel videos Grace & Ryosuke! Really enjoy seeing the interesting adventures you two go on and the wonderful food you eat. I don't have money to travel, and am a busy parent, so watching your videos is the next best thing!

Grace and Ryosuke it's great to see your subscription viewership is growing!!! Bless you both 😇😀🐇🐢🐈🐕🎈🎇🎉🎊🎋O:-)
Loved the older gentleman's expression of surprise along with yours on your first shot Grace! Was adorable.
He was so shocked. I felt so freaking proud~
I'm curious who is there videoing you also?
I was wondering that too. Some shots were definitely done using a third person.
ninjas!
Susie Smith might have been a tripod since they were pretty alone in the beginning.
wheeler1 I see parts with selfie sticks. But some parts it's either tripod or someone else. Not a big thing but I was curious!
Elika Adam Yes I wondered that.
I love traveling with you guys in your videos, added plus you guys are reaching "expert" level when it comes to video editing! Music was spot on. Look forward to your next installments!
I have been following your videos for a while and I gotta say, it's amazing. This tour to Fukoshima looks great
we had a strip mine down the road growing up, the lake was this exact color... beautiful but polluted!!
Thanks for sharing all the beautiful places!!!
That baby blue lake was absolutely, breathtakingly magical !
That blue lake is beautifully trippy
I'm just wondering who is filming them?
I would say the selfie rod.
No rod, as the camera moves. :P So has to be a 3rd person.
+Wendy Skadi that's what I thought too
I'm guessing they're using a tripod. They film themselves walking away, then they go back & get their equipment when they've got the shot. Just a guess.
Maybe someone from Planetyze? Because they are kinda filming it for them too...?!
So beautiful, another place to add to my "places to go list". Thanks for the awesome video
Thank you!
Ryosuke did a bit of research ahead of time, so he knew what was going on. I didn't know anything about the lakes :p
Thank you so much for posting this, I was in Aizu for 2 weeks and I'm missing it dearly
There is a model of this castle in Japan Town, San Francisco, CA. I'm happy to see it really does exist.
Thanks for taking me to travel around the japan ! Wish you both a life time of happiness!
Had to pause video at ~4:30 to be envious of green tea and yummy sweets. That tea looked so amazing!
humidity sucks fortunately i have not dealt with it much but once i start traveling especially to japan looks like i will have to. fukushima looks like it was amazing just another place to add to my list
!
It does my heart good to see a couple in love, out in a beautiful nature setting, just enjoying it together. Great video y'all.
Beautiful tour and beautifully filmed!
I am really enjoying these videos- very well done and great choice of music too. I love seeing other parts of Japan
Its funny how you mentioned that you were having a bad hair day. When I saw the thumbnail for the new video the first thing I thought was, "Oh, Grace's hair looks so pretty!"
Also, I was enthralled with the castle and the double helix temple. So beautiful.
"I'm more impressed by the large castle than the pine trees" - Grace
It's trrrrruuuuueeee
This video is wonderful! Thank you Grace & Ryosuke! :) This is definitely one of your best in terms of artistic shots! (love all your work and books!)
This is the second video I've watched from y'all and I'm so happy to see another Grace who is also from Texas. I've only met a few people named Grace in my 21 years and it's always nice to meet another.
Thank you for your videos! Subscribed!
Sokaiya. Must go there for the castle and the kyudo. I am a bit of an archery nut.
Just so damn beautiful!
If you guys have more footage you edited out, I'd love to see more, it was such an amazing place.
