In this video we show you the process for removing Nissan Xterra running boards. This is a personal preference, but we decided to remove ours as they were not being used to reach the Xterra roof rack or to add an extra boost in getting in the Xterra cab. The process is very easy, but does involve some risk. This video is intended for informational purposes only and is not an official tutorial as we are not licensed Nissan mechanics. Complete this job at your own risk. Thanks so much for watching.

Thanks for the video. I am going to pull a pair from the junkyard to put on mine (to make putting my kayaks on top easier). It's nice having an idea of what I am going to be getting myself into beforehand.

That’s a great idea. I hope we are able to help make your adventures a little more fun with the loading process. Have a great time out there.

Great video! Very thorough. Thank you!
Question: Do you plug the holes in the chassis with something? I mean do you think it's a good idea to do this?
