I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement. I'm seeking to invest $200K across markets but don't know where to start.

Tesla has no real need to make M3 body style upgrades to the MY, but should introduce the new electronics, interior and front fascia straight away. Body and battery upgrades can come later. The M3 Highland did not include gigacastings by the looks of it. So body changes to the MY aren't necessary.

I appreciate the practical vision - that is, thinking along multiple lines and projecting developments like the Model Y refresh and how it will happen. I appreciate as much tossing out the fanboy propaganda - examples being the unbelievable 4680, the million CTs a year (can Tesla get to 50K in 2024?), or the imminent robo taxis. L5 autonomy is 'not yet' and won't be for a while yet, and without full autonomy there are no R Taxis. Nonetheless, you lay out a very clear plan for EV dominance that should keep us invested. A true Bull should be optimistic but expect incremental gains - including in FSD progress.

Tesla should use its solar cells to make sure all its factories are running on Green Energy. They could be much more aggressive on this front.

Lee the cells CATL make that go into Tesla EVs are different than those going into energy storage. There are different sizes of LFP cells, and the energy storage cells are bigger. Also Catl has a lot of factories ramping, (like Tesla) which is where all the new cells are coming from.

An intriguing M3 upgrade was lugs to lock the doors into the sill as part of improved side intrusion protection.
Now that Tesla has simplified the M3 interior and fascia, all its vehicles need the cost savings. All models need the steering wheel improvements. To avoid Osborne effects, Tesla needs upgrades to sweep its model range quickly.

In a video at Tesla head office i saw a small sign on a desk that read "20 million cars by early 2030s" My target model is based on about 8 million by 2028. I don´t see any new model 3 or Y plants just ramp up of existing plants or maybe add Model 3 line in Austin. To reach 20 million you need a very sucessful and cheaper model 2 with a platform that can produce different variants including small to medium vans. I would think giga castings is a must, open box production, 48V wiring, very reduced wiring layout. I would think something like a VW polo/golf so start with a small hatch back, maybe a BMW style coupe range so a 2 door coupe, a 4 door grand coupe and a 2+2 coupe convertable. The same 3 model type ranges, RWD, AWD LR and AWD performance.
Vary the free colour every 6 months. Most sales will be the RWD with the free colour, keep the nicer wheels, the current new model 3 wheels look very good. I think the Model 2 will be closer to $28,000 by the time it reaches production, with rebates that will be a cheap car but still making over $5,000 profit per car. With less weight a smallish battery should give you 275 miles. Higher automation of production, cheaper battery (maybe sodium version) and less parts should cut costs.

Even if Tesla is not able to reach its 4680 battery goals, it does not mean that its battery manufacturing competitors are not able to close in towards Tesla battery targets. Also, even if Tesla is not able to reach its battery targets, reaching other technology targets (e.g. FSD, etc.) can help Tesla reach its 20 million vehicle targets by year 2030?

In the Fall of 21 there were predictions of even higher stock values. What if you had sold and TSLA went to $800? You had no idea where the stock was headed in 21 and when it went to $100 there were predictions of $50. I saw many comments saying they'd buy at $50. How do they feel now? Just buy/hold through the recession.

Your 2% figure on 4680 progress is not incorrect, but it’s very dated. I suspect they have made good progress Austin and we will know much more within two months when the CT Launch event occurs. I am not so sure that their vehicle growth rate is as tied to the internally produced 4680’s as you noted. You have also stated in the past that there will be Panasonic versions, as well as cheaper options from CATL with only slightly less energy density. Finally, the next gen vehicle, their likely largest seller, should be batter agnostic.

And where are the batteries for Cybertruck and Optimus coming from? And the van / mini-bus we've been teased, probably in 2025-26. And the extra battery trailer, which has been hinted at. Oh, and boats and planes (very different higher density chemistry) long term too. Tesla is playing 4d chess, they probably have 3/4/5 more battery factories up their sleeves, waiting for a button press to start building lines and manufacturing. Next 6-12 months will be telling
