Hey Chris, one of my friends had the same problem with his truck. He just cut a hole in the wall a little bigger than his truck framed it all in and parked the pick up.
It might help if you bump the throttle up to around 8-900 when it’s cold. You don’t get much oil flow to the head when it’s cold and running that slow. I know my big cam 400 almost doubles oil pressure when you bump it up a little. Warms up better and more evenly as well. Anyways good luck.
Being I found out the hard way I thought I'd help ya. If any of them lags are not on studs they will vibrate the holes in the sheetrock. I cut a 3/4inch sheet of plywood in falf and made sure it was attached to the studs.
glad the tool came in handy, i use it a lot in the field, great job keeping your cool getting this truck back on the road, you have all of our support 🇺🇸
Chris, with your skill set and the input of your buddies and of course the engine guys here, i have complete faith you'll get err running perfectly. She's looking great man.
As soon as you put the Duffy Ag stickers on it, it became a content generator and failed. Dude, if you didn't have bad luck, you'd have no luck at all! I enjoy your struggles and never quit attitude.
Glad its comin together. Sounds like a valve guide Chris..hate to say it and hope im wrong. At least now you dont have to worry about the spring brakes the fertilizer trailer never had now that you can set the truck... Huge win... Dont mind some of these super truckers. They havent run equipment that predated spring brakes and dont realize they didnt show up til the early 90s in most cases and older rigs need to be modified to accommodate them.
That's ok Chris back in the 90s I drove garbage truck and a hill we back up for one customer was to icy to get to the very top hit the brakes jump out to get the cans turned around to go back to truck and it was sliding down the hill across a street into a 20 ft deep ravine!
Keep your eyes open for the item docs use to listen to your chest. - ends in your ears & flat surface to listen to & locate minute & unusual sounds could be used on that valve cover. It’s a stethoscope we used it a lot
So fleet pride basically gave u a bunch of bs that's f#### up uve been there how many times?! Now that vacuum is badass n man that mack looks gorgeous good job on the paint job. Keep up the good work Chris see ya in the next one!
You know what would look cool on that air breather? Some of that flex pipe that goes on exhaust if you can find some that size that would give it a different look!
Duffy Outside of going to Fleet Pride, I would go to the Mac Junkyard and ask them if they had before ordering from Fleet Pride. Just for a suggestion why not do this: 1. Go to the Mac junkyard first! 2. Fleet Pride! 3. Internet for the Mac parts! In reality, you do what you think is best for your needs Ups and downs are to be expected with old Mac Semitrucks you might have to invest in a repower diesel engine to install when your favorite trucks. It is worth saving money for that, the time is coming close to needing to be done. Duffy just do things your way! Sincerely! R.S.V.
Pull the heads repair the valves seats and guides new head gaskets and install do it Wright so we can finish the truck k w engine ready yet been a while you are doing a great job we have a lot of other projects witch the Mack is holding us back from
Hey Chris, if you remove the injector and rotate the cylinder to compression stroke apply air through the injector hole. Blow by through exhaust or intake is a valve or from the crankcase as it appeared to be on the video then it is either piston or head gasket. Easier still has vevor sent you a boroscope an if so will it fit down the injector hole? Just suggestions. You will get there , you've proved that many times.
Hint on old diesel engines, bump idle up to 1000 1200 after a minute of dead idle. Diesel engines, especially older ones, will run for years at higher idles, instead of loping at low idle. Even a special board from seat to foot throttle would work. Same with tractors, seen many whet stacking, unburned fuel, oil leaking out exhaust manifolds
Since he Yenco doesn’t have thumbs, might want to move his air ride controls to the other side of the seat. This way you can control it for him when he wants it adjusted. 😂it’s the small things.
I don't know where you got that wrench extention but I have to have one. Either I find one or I make one. Always used a big pipe on mine and that would be handy. Got to have it.
your comment, "once you make a major screw up, you never do it again", like not setting parking brake, i wish that was true; ive made the same major mistake 8 years after i made it the first time. mistake alert does not always engage in the human mind.
1? Chris where's your TH-cam Logo with your badging????? Plus do you have more badging for the rest of the fleet. 👉👉Here's a TIP Chris since you have a welder. if you have some scrap metal lying around or your friends why not make a funnel cage on top of the feeder troff, but relocate the legs wider and hole saw some holes in the bottom for water drainage. Make what you got work Duffman.............Cool add an exuast fan would be nice or an exuast flex pipe off a wall panel. Saves you from those teary eye coughing your brains out problems. 🧐🧐👉👉Tip run fuel treatment for a while first to breakup the deposites then if that won't work tear into it.

@stevewbeards you got that right man. I'm 46 years old. Born and raised on this farm 4th generation here. Yeah I still have accidents and make mistakes but I admit to them to my family. That's how everything flows around here. We never break things we aren't using

We had a east Indian o/o killed back in 2021 when he forgot to set his brakes . as he was bringing up his landing gear his truck started to roll and he either tried pulling the red air line or tried jumping into the cab . unfortunately he also had his steering wheel turned to the left and when the truck rolled downhill it squashed him between the truck next to him . His truck rolled downhill and pushed two dryvans back and almost wrote the truck next to him off . I heard there was pieces of him all over the place . All because he forgot to set his brakes

Hey Chris sometimes when you get air back feeding through the valve it’s an indication that you have a bad brake can or one getting ready to shit out
Glad its comin together. Sounds like a valve guide Chris..hate to say it and hope im wrong. No,it's not the world we live in! Ya shoulda took better pictures, but. Hey,ya got fancy shifter knobs😂
I wonder whats under the other valve cover. Thats a lot of carborn but if your valve guide has that much play the buildup is probably blowby.
Put source in instead of oil. Probably take care of the tik

@@nailbender7223 they do regular assessments and can simply drive bye with door open and see.
They love snooping around and asking to come inside. But I'm the weirdo if I ask to look in there house...😂
It's just all part of it owning a truck need to double check everything on them
Check your brake chamber they can leak internally and cause the valve to leak
You know what would look cool on that air breather? Some of that flex pipe that goes on exhaust if you can find some that size that would give it a different look!
I set tr valve last year on a 2021 timpte hopper with 4 maxi's and it creeped down a hill got to set them all.
Roll the engine around to top dead center on that hole and see if the valve closes and you get valve lash.
If your valves are out of adjustment it could be your cam it happened to my E6 350
