My first Tru Hitch tow didn’t go as planned 🤦🏻♂️

- I really wanted to tow this truck with the Tru Hitch, but unfortunately I didn't get all the bugs worked out in time. It was still having some intermittent issues that I wasn't comfortable with being hundreds of miles from home in another state, so I stuck with mu tried and true @zackliftinternational4841 and towed both concrete mixers back to Oregon without issue.

Such a creative genius, no joke!
Better safe than sorry. Your safety is most important. We’re here no matter what you choose. Love to the family
Casey is “Turning a NEW Leaf! He is going ‘professional’ because he is GOOD at this”. You are TH-cam’s best trucker educator and entertainer. Man I can watch you everyday. I am glad you have perfected the TickTok shorties. Not only entertaining, musically matched and wonderful Easter Eggs for what is coming soon on your channel. Thanks Casey
Oh there is a TRAIN! Squirrel!
You are way to good thanks for being professional
For the barges to get to Lewiston, they have to go up to Columbia River then branch off to the Snake River at Pasco Wa and then the Snake River goes to Lewiston Idaho. Once you pass the McNary Dam, in Umatilla, Oregon, all the dams north of that on the Columbia river do not have locks.
You always know how to make good content!
Agreed 🤝 💯
quick note for anyone who was wondering about the inland port thing. The Port of Duluth-Superior is the farthest inland port that is accessible by ocean going vessels in North America. It is 2,342 miles away from the Atlantic. honestly very cool to see ships come and go when visiting.
Riley is so cute! You are a GREAT DAD!
Good informative video, I feel that I could do your job, you are a great teacher. My Volvo was 68 minutes for a re gen. All the best from Perth, Australia
Thank you Casey. Hire that young driver that was picking up a skid steering.😂😂😂
Good job getting that drive shaft secured 🎉
Thank you for another learning experience 🙏❤️😎🤙
Love your videos. This old lady learns so much
8:46am on a Monday morning and I'm suffering with information overload....thanks Casey !!!
I never thought that one would have to reboot a Transport Truck.
In tumultuous times, nothing is more comforting and refreshing than exact sciences and maths. As you tend to say: there’s no two ways about those ;-) Thanks, Casey!
If Casey's not wearing his hat in the thumbnail, you know it's going to be bad. I don't think I've ever seen Casey without a hat up until now.
It amazing how much you know about towing from little 4x4 to heavy haul the information is endless you are amazing 😊
Gooooooood morning Casey!
cool kid you need to be very proud
Hello from the 1904 Electric Company building. Rocky coast of Maine, US. October 28, 2024 Monday.
Casey seeing a bigger truck than his is like my dog seeing a squirrel!
I thought the same thing! Squirrel…. And back to his narration.
Oh there is a barge!
@@kenc1800 Now that's heavy haul.
Trains are cool! - squirrel
The green things on the hood are shamrocks. It’s an Irish thing 😊
Bless Riley and family all the time🐾
The background noise!!
Still love your work.🙏❤️

I had to flat tow my F700 (old thing) from Idaho to Texas. I put an air T and tied into both the front and rear brakes on the F700. I used cheap air hose to feed both the air supply and service. This caused a slight delay in apply and released but otherwise worked very well. There was one corner that I got caught a little off guard and had I not had brakes on the F700, I might not have made it. I may make a brake buddy of my own but not for towing but for adjusting the clutch by myself.
I saw a military low bed (tri axle ) just like yours the other day near Baltimore
I believe the port of Duluth-Superior is the furthest inland port.
Looks like it's time to get a 3/4 drive earthquake from hobo freight. You may want to get a 1/2" whip hose or whatever the max size you can put in it then reduce it to the normal line size with normal fitting. It basically gives you a super hard burst ability doing it that way. Also if you are going to make the whip hose separate get full flow fittings for going into the gun.
Casey, "It took me 32 minutes to pull the axles."
Check time stamp. 32 minutes. 😂
There's nobody I'd rather have morning coffee with than Casey!
Better lucky than good
Casey, I have been very impressed with your Zacklift, but just one thing, in my mind, would make it completely awesome. If they were to, say, build the Zacklift "Geneswing" and turn the Genesis into a rotator! THEN, it would be the "perfect" recovery truck! Just remember, when you pitch the idea to them, all I want is to get a mention for having the idea. Any money it would make can go to your assistance fund! Now get out there and sell 'em on the idea and get that assistance fund growing!
Salut Casey!!
I always thought as a tow/recovery you had a weight exemption unless you’re doing long haul towing/transport. But i guess making you buy permits is more money for the govt which the pay to play is always a thing. Love how surprised she was at the horn when she pulled the cord. Great video thanks for the class.
There is a federal weight exemption when towing a vehicle away from a breakdown or accident scene. But that doesn’t apply to a transport tow like this
@@CaseyLaDellean hour video for a pass/FAIL piece of machinery??? WTF?
@@CaseyLaDelleI guess your planned getaway truck got sidelined!!!!
I have no experience with the Milwaukee Fuel Hydraulic but I've heard good things about it. My Dewalt 1/2" impact is super good and I really like it.
I had all Dewalt stuff and it was great. But after losing everything in a fire I replaced it with Milwaukee and have been severely disappointed
I hear you on the cold coming I'm in upstate N.Y. And this hole month has Bean in the 20 &30 at night. I lived in. Yakima Washinton when I was a kid right buy a cement Co. Like that that's pretty cool.
Tell Riley she has cool boots!
I really appreciate your approach to content creation. Your videos are always top notch!🍎❓⁉️
Dam Casey check weight and let’s go, TMI for my 78 yrold brain this AM. 😂😂😂😂
It's kinda funny that although the whole drive shaft process didn't take 32 minutes, Casey said he was done at the 32:25 mark
the ZACKLIFT 353 is pretty awesome. I would have a 353 and a genesis as my first 2 rigs.
That would make an awesome pair!
You need to glue a magnet to the back of that top tool box drawer. That was it will stay closed.
Oh yeah, the drop down to Biggs from the Washington side is a doozy! 😮
Especially when you’re staring at a big ass mixer pushing you down the hill 😂
Casey says stay in School Kids, you might need that math yet.😂
Good morning
YAY!!!!!!!!!
Goooood morning Janelle!
@@richardthomas1743 and hope you have a great one too!
I haven't met a guy yet who's inner child doesn't love trains! 🚂 😁
The columbia river curve and go up through Washington at Pasco, then the snake river takes you to Idaho.
Don't blame the truck blame the government crap they make them put in the truck. Those systems are the down fall of a lot of engines
The shop I use to work at we ran a Zack lift unit on a shorter wheelbase truck we cheated to get weight forward on the truck by having the air ride on separate regulators so we could put a little more pressure on the rear axle which would transfer weight to the front axle
Pumping 'How Dare You!' into the air for over an hour on regen? Yeah, California has it figured out.
I buy WD 40 by the gallon. I think I have a new lubricant. JB-80 isn't available in gallon but I am completely impressed by it's lubrication. I like it a little bit better than WD 40.
Your videos always make me smile and forget about all my worries. Thank you for your wonderful creativity!🍗🦖🦎
Hey Casey I’m super curious. Say you were out somewhere with the true hitch could you just pick up a small suv like your blazer with it? I mean just pick the whole thing up, and haul it 4 wheels off the ground.
Nope
Horn honk😮
Blind, dumb, good luck is one of the best things you can have!
You forgot your driveline window sticker
I didn't watch the whole thing (!), but the Tru Hitch has also got to give you a lot more maneuverability over the Zach Lift. What's the improvement in turning radius in the fifth wheel setup?
Nope, far more maneuverable with the Zacklift. Stinger steer.
Casey , where is Grumpy? We need to get Grumpy involved in some trips with you and filming!
That 1/2 M18 impact looks smaller than my 1/2 M18 mine will take off ball and seat nuts on my semi
Wonder how long before you buy a truck just for the True Hitch ? Market place here i come !
I actually have been looking for another 5th wheel truck, but not for towing
Lets see how bad that harvester wheelies ? 😮😮😮
Lewiston Idaho may well be the farthest inland on the west coast, however Duluth Minnesota at the west most point of lake Superior is the farthest inland port from the ocean
54:38 solve your problem and get you a older truck fix it up and no more regen problems!!
You didn't run the seat belt through the steering wheel! Egad! ❤
Was it too low an RPM coming down that grade that might have plugged up the DPF? I know they don't like low operation. Also any oil or coolant burn at all messes that stuff up. I've been down with Emissions Control issues more than you care to know....
😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😎
You can have winter, I don't want it
Have you been looking into Edison Motors? The Canadian guys that are building hybrid trucks and conversions on trucks likeyour wrecker and they are working on pick up conversions.
Being hybrid there are no def fluid or any of the problems with the system.
I don't think being hybrid makes any difference. If they kept the Cat engine they would have to meet emissions eventually but they're switching to a Scania engine that meets emissions without aftertreatments.
I thought you were too close for the underreach to come down also. Maybe you're finally getting good at this? or just lucky? :)
I like trucks🙂
Your kiddo is too friggin' cute! You're gonna have to have a shotgun around when she hits dating age! Fun trip. Love that trip down into the gorge.
Just out of curiosity what does a tow like this end up costing? I work in insurance and see accident towing bills here and there, but have always thought about the costs. I always wanted the TV show wrecked to show the costs for the recovery, cleanup, towing and storage.
No black electrical tape for the check engine light? Can you regen while traveling so you don’t get stuck and waste fuel? just asking for a friend.
Another great video. Is the true hitch at the ride height ? Or will the forks be higher
when towing? They look close to the ground in the video. Thanks.
Question, if wheel base is so important, why do you get set back front axle trucks ?
Wrong casey! The Columbia River turns north at wallula Junction, and at Burbank the snake river ties into the Columbia River and the snake river goes to lewiston Idaho and yes that's as far as the tugs go east and pasco is as far as they go on the Columbia
Here is one simple question how long do the vehicles usually sit at your house before they get picked up and get worked on and how long are you gonna figure out what went wrong on your truck and fix it so it won’t happen again
All the LOTO necessary to do anything with hazardous energy and he can be under a truck with all the necessary manual controls at hand to seriously injur or kill someone. Maybe remote overrides/ disables the manual controls? Either way, this is a profession that is not considered a work free safe zone. You really need to know what you are doing to last as long or longer than Casey.
After treatment engines saving the environment one regen after another, just think off all those emissions we save driving the trucks to creating more doing regens. Not to mention all those plastic def jugs just laying around now. I won't even mention how much more money it's costing the trucking business to pass down to end of the line consumers ;-)
What's making the bell sound when you are behind the Zacklift? It's annoying.
Should ditch the WD40 for Kroil
American trucks sure is light weight. 50,000 lbs on the drive axles is the norm.
Why is your dog frozen in place
Back tires look kinda sketchy
Regen garbage 52:50
That ridiculous regen is just a stupid waste!
The Colombia starts in Canada. But I think this is just one of those wrong information that gets people to react to your video
Four bots within 15 minutes
How can you tell what is a bot ? or not !
Don't you just love def systems makes life so more easier. NOT.
Shortn up the video
No
😂
Why doesn't it regen on the road @CaseyLaDelle, especially on the long runs you guys have in the US
It's where our EU diesel cars regen, normally
While waiting at the dealership one time, I heard an engine screaming and went to have a look
Turns out the shop was doing a forced regen on my car
It ended up doing regens every 30 to 60 miles, so I got rid of it
Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Your videos are always a joy to watch.🎳🙂🤸
