The Trails series and Falcom in general has amazing music, I’m glad to see Dan covering it. Hey it's me, motif guy, to help Dan remember the motives (or motifs idk) : 3:10 Liberl Motif 3:51 Aureole Motif 6:43 The Whereabouts of Light (Hoshi To Arika) 2:25:15 The Royal Army theme I might've missed some but I think I got them all If I really want to be picky the 31:53 part of sophisticated battle reappears in a Trails in the Sky the 3rd, but it's only once, and I don't know if it should count as a leitmotif
2:07:54 "Madrigal of the White Magnolia - Castle" also has a Royal Army theme motif (2:25:15). Additionally it is a similar motif that plays in Grancel castle (it will play later in an ost). Edit: also how did I only now realize that Aureole motif shows up in Tetracyclic tower as well...i mean makes sense story wise (there are so many motifs i have not noticed before)
What you are saying at 52:20 is so true. I am working in law and everytime someone come with a question they are offended that I don't know everthing right away.
Oh that so awesome man you have listen to my comment and have done the first trails of that so awesome man 👏👏👏👏i really hope you will do all the trails of series now that you have started this man
Trails in the Sky (the whole trilogy) has the best town/city themes in video game history in my opinion. Part 1 hasn't even gotten to the best ones yet (Zeiss and Grancel).
I really wish Crossbell was voted on instead, considering how less known this series is compared to more popular JRPGs. And I can't see Crossbell raking in 600ish dollars anytime soon.
The Whereabouts of Light's motif sounds a lot like the one from Castle in the Sky. Very similar. Not that it's a bad thing or whatever, but I'm not the only one that hears it, right?
honestly its borderline plaigarism but I kiiindaaa support that in this case lol. Like, they took that iconic Hisaishi motif that wasn't expanded on much in the actual Castle in the Sky movie and then expanded on it themselves and yeah it rocks I love it, they did it justice.
it's really crazy to think how composers presented us the opening song in FC and all these motifs like "tudu dudu du. dudu tudu du" were going to be parts of other tracks in trilogy
I don't know if he has heard it or not, but I'd love for him to give the Cave Story soundtrack a listen. It's not too long, he can finish it in under two hours.
I can’t wait until he reacts to Xenoblade Chronicles X. It’s gonna be awesome. Also question, can we suggest anime or movie soundtracks for him to react to or just VGM?
A little late for this, and I’m not sure if you’ve figured it out since, but at 1:18:16 I’m pretty sure you’re thinking of Xenoblade 3. Only difference is that goes back down to the fifth.
Normally I'm not a huge fan of the ~Madrigal of the White Magnolia~ section. It's good where it is in game, but it feels like an interruption in the soundtrack. But it was interesting to listen to them analytically.
KISEKI FANS UNITE!
WHAT I DIDN'T EXPECT YOU TO REACT TO THIS OST
Right!?!?! Crazy

OMG I'M SO HAPPY I DIDN'T KNOW THIS EXISTED.
Hey it's me, motif guy, to help Dan remember the motives (or motifs idk) :
3:10 Liberl Motif
3:51 Aureole Motif
6:43 The Whereabouts of Light (Hoshi To Arika)
2:25:15 The Royal Army theme
I might've missed some but I think I got them all

1:11:05 Army theme
Thank you for this! In the first track there are only 2 motifs that reappear present?
P.S. some people write motives so you are double right
2:07:54 "Madrigal of the White Magnolia - Castle" also has a Royal Army theme motif (2:25:15). Additionally it is a similar motif that plays in Grancel castle (it will play later in an ost).

@@MusicTheoryforGamers Hoshi To Arika appears in the first track, as for the "Aureole Motif", it appears a few time in the late tracks, and in SC
What you are saying at 52:20 is so true. I am working in law and everytime someone come with a question they are offended that I don't know everthing right away.
One of the best soundtracks I’ve ever heard in my life and he should the rest of the series!
Oh that so awesome man you have listen to my comment and have done the first trails of that so awesome man 👏👏👏👏i really hope you will do all the trails of series now that you have started this man

you mean Zeiss & Grancell Right?
Easily. I feel so nostalgic listening to these even though I just played these games this year
You've done Sky, now you need to complete the rest
Edit: ESPECIALLY CROSSBELL!
I really wish Crossbell was voted on instead, considering how less known this series is compared to more popular JRPGs. And I can't see Crossbell raking in 600ish dollars anytime soon.
@@donb.7390 I think some dude gave 500 dollars for Trails in the Sky so maybe who knows ?
Crossbell is on the polling right now so expect it soon :D
FC 파트2가 기대됩니다!
Holy moly!! You actually reacted to the Trails in the Sky OST! Yip, my weekend is made. Thanks for this!!
It was enjoyable to watch, always glad to dive into something I love in more depth!
alright now up next needs to be SC
there are hashtags for the three games in the description so I guess he's doing all three
The Whereabouts of Light's motif sounds a lot like the one from Castle in the Sky. Very similar.
Not that it's a bad thing or whatever, but I'm not the only one that hears it, right?
Oh yeah the whole game takes huge inspo from Castle in the Sky (even the name lol)
honestly its borderline plaigarism but I kiiindaaa support that in this case lol. Like, they took that iconic Hisaishi motif that wasn't expanded on much in the actual Castle in the Sky movie and then expanded on it themselves and yeah it rocks I love it, they did it justice.

Wow, I just randomly was recommended your reaction to FFVII and thought would be cool to suggest Legend of Heroes music. This is awesome!
I don't know if he has heard it or not, but I'd love for him to give the Cave Story soundtrack a listen. It's not too long, he can finish it in under two hours.
The track “setting off” kinda sounds like a Bollywood song, must be the tablas..
"They're step-siblings, though"
I can’t wait until he reacts to Xenoblade Chronicles X. It’s gonna be awesome. Also question, can we suggest anime or movie soundtracks for him to react to or just VGM?
You're mixing and sound quality got a major upgrade since I last checked in.
I like your funny words, magic man
Can you do Trails of Azure next? 😁

No gin no ishi? Incomplete
So... Sora no Kiseki won .. but Kingdom hearts didn't? =*(
