No, hero hammer is lame but the hobby is currently driven by players who like it that way. Players who just want the most powerful toys, they don’t really care about simulating a battle on the tabletop. To them it’s just a set of rules that they really want to to win. It doesn’t bother them at all that all these heroes show up week after week to fight over the same piles of rubble :p On your primer point my problems with rattlecans is what drove me to buy an airbrush, which I only use for priming.
its just a part of the natural evolution of warhammer.... comes in cycles, the old hero hammer phase has started.
