why cant I use mouse in desktop mode like you? But when I hit play and press shift + f1 to enable mouse cursor, everything okay?

idk if this is better or worse but when I made the background I put like start and option button painted on the background and just added a clear button over it

Every time I click the heightmap download link, it takes me to an ad page and I can't download the files.

To show the cursor just add the "get player controller" node to your level blueprint, then drag the output pin out and add the "show mouse cursor" node. Then simply set it to true.
Do I get it or set it?

@@stackzzfrmbrum man its been a while since i used the engine, but i am pretty sure you gotta use the set node. Try just searching for "Show Mouse Cursor" node if you cant find it.
Ive followed every step. I have done everything but the only thing is, that when I press play, what I have created doesnt show up. :/
Tip: Instead of doing the rollover effects one by one, you can copy the ones you have already done by right clicking on the style heading.
Great tutorial! Just a noob question: I have imported a short mp3 for the exit button in the "Menu Assets" folder, but I cannot use it. I keep seeing a bunch of pre-loaded sounds but not the one I imported. Could u pls give me any hint? Thx in advance. :)

When I drop in my pic for the button it get's stretchd out and when I change the image size I can't see the middle of it, do someone know how to fix this?
ok, find the problem, you just need to go down to "draw as" and change from "box" to "image".

hey i need some help, after i packge the game and click play. It doesn't open the level. What to do?
Create another level and set it as default then it will work. or use the unreal engine doc they are very usefull
When i launch the game to test the tint effect, for some reason my cursor is not working on the screen and i am unable to test the button, do you have any ideas what might be the issue ?

For some one like who has problem with Start Button please instead of load level use remove all widget then if you have another widget create widget then use add to viewport.I wish it will be useful for you

one last thing, i watched all your main menu videos and i didnt saw how to get to your level after pressing the play button. am i blind af or you didnt show it? i mean how do you get the main menu disappear
I believe that is actually in the functionality video, I simply attached the start game button to the open level command in blueprints, from there I just told it to open a level. Feel free to set that to whichever level you need!

I'm a actually working on something similar for the game I'm working in, I'll break it down and make a tutorial on a simple key inputs for menus.
It's actually a lot harder than you might think.
