    Few days ago I've paid 100 pounds for a UE4 tutorial, and i wasn't worth that much, but yours are worth even more !
    Good job. Keep going that way.

    12:21 how did he get the Top Left corner window that shows top view? Ive been looking for this but idk what this picture in picture is called in UE4. Display two camera windows of the player - 1 big and aimed normal to show normal view. 2nd aimed at top or head and in a small window

    Just a question: You showed us your project that you're working on and when you hit an enemy you get 5 points, but how did you do that so the widget displays twice? You could see "+5" and imediately even before your "+5" fades out, another "+5" came in. How did you do that?

      In his 44th episode he made a widget that prints the health info when he takes damage, and I don't think he ever disabled it

    I was curious how you'd be able to make your HUD animate based on damage received. So, if you took damage you could have your HUD assets jitter in place a few pixels.

    I had to come watch this because I have forgotten how to get the animation into the variable to plug in....
    I've done it before. Have them working in my game...and decided have my loading screen "tap to continue" to flash....
    😒
    And weird part ....I have the animation and can test play but doesn't show up under my blueprint section....
    Ugh some times

    You got SOOOO close to where I wanted to go with this: Namely, I can't figure out how one trigger box in a blueprint can trigger these UI animations which I place in world space. Anyone have any idea how I can do that?

      Yes, just set play mode to forward, and set the num loops to play to 0 (which means infinite)

    Is it possible to do a 3D object widget?

    • @joshuaknight6551
      @joshuaknight6551 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uh... Maybe
      I noticed no one answered. Stuff in the widget is typically just images and stuff but there are work around.
      Appearance of 3D
      Using some camera stuff
      Mini games.
      Loading screen style games/levels.
      Level streaming etc

    • @AmanKumar-tu2og

    I've been trying to figure out how to get widget images to change every time a player takes damage. All the tutorials I've found only show how to add text.

    • @joshuaknight6551
      @joshuaknight6551 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What widget images exactly?
      If you're still looking tag me so I know to come back to help you.
      There are progress bars
      Flatting damages/images
      Or if you just want to cycle throug images randomly or sequence based on event damage.
      Can see it up several ways depending on what you want to do

    how do i make it go on a button i cant find the event?

    • @VirtusEdu
      @VirtusEdu  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you select the button in the designer and go to the buttom of the details panel you should find the button to create an onclick event for the button... from there just attach your play animation stuff.
      Best of luck!

    • @daniel8607
      @daniel8607 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Virtus Learning Hub i meant a button on the keyboard but thanks

    • @VirtusEdu
      @VirtusEdu  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In that case you'll need to run a check from the HUD to see whether or not the key is down, if that check returns true then you can fire off your script for playing the animation.
      I advise you reference the player controller for this.
      I hope that helps.

  • @marcusunivers

    11:55 How I can make infinite loops? :)

    • @joshuaknight6551
      @joshuaknight6551 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is a button down on the track that shows loops.
      Additionally in the play animation node set the loop to -1.
      As 1+1+1+1+1+1 will never add up to -1

    • @AmanKumar-tu2og
      @AmanKumar-tu2og 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Use 0 for number of loops. 0 means infinite looping

    How can we soften the edges of the health bar?

    • @joshuaknight6551
      @joshuaknight6551 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're going to want to use a customer progress bar.
      There will be some gradients set up and stuff.
      The default is basically stuck like that.
