    I love it, especially the mod on the folding brace adapter. I just picked up one of these myself, but I'm old school and I like the wood, but as I said, I love the way you set your NAK9 up. I'll be doing the same mod on the folding bracket as soon as it arrives. I like the funnel end Krink muzzle break and that's what I'll have after I get the thread adapter set just right so the holes in the Krink are pointing up. I splurged on the brace and I'll be sporting the SBA3 on my NAK9. Every NAK9 I look at has the personal touches of the owner, and that's what makes this sport/hobby so much fun. Thanks again for the amazing folder mod, it's top notch!!!

    • @kcghostt

      The Arsenal handguards should fit either right out of the box or with very minor fitting. The only thing I had to do with these was file a few millimeters of material off the end that goes into the receiver. A few swipes at a time until it would barely fit in. These are actually U.S. made 103 style handguards from Centerfire. I forgot to mention that in the video. They're very affordable and include the heatshield and metal reinforced retainer end. Great set up. I was wondering if the hole in the rear trunion the sling mount was in had threads from the factory and, if it did, how you cut the threads into the stock adapter correctly timed together?

    • @kcghostt
      @kcghostt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The NAK9 rear trunnion is threaded from the factory and the threads aren't actually timed they're just damn close and it's wrenched down so tight that it hasn't moved one bit. The steel bolt cut its own threads in the adapter since its softer material. As I tightened it up, it just locked itself into the aluminum. Haven't even used any loctite on it but I may if it comes loose. So far I'm very happy with it. If I see any movement I will most likely just drill an offset hole through the adapter and trunnion and use either a cheap roll pin or small bolt through it to lock it in place. I don't see it happening but its an easy fix if it does.

    • @kcghostt

      Yes it will but you'll need a buffer tube adapter that bolts into the threaded sling loop hole in the rear trunnion or one that slides under the grip. @@pricelessppp 10/22's are fantastic. I have several of those. I put a video up about one of my 10/22 Chargers if you haven't seen that. As far as PCC's being good for self defense and home defense, they're great as long as you get something reliable that you can count on. I would not hesitate to grab the NAK9 and defend myself. I mainly collect AKs and .22lr's so this was a no-brainer for the price. It's one of the cheapest PCC's and runs fantastic even with cheap KCI Glock and Beretta mags. For the price, you really get a lot of gun with the NAK9. It has impressed me for sure. There are of course other options like the Kalashnikov USA KP9 / KR9 ($1000-ish) or the Palmetto State Armory AKV ($800-ish), or even the Ruger PC Carbine / PC Charger.
