  • Hello friends. my CNC warrior brace finally came in. I searched for some quick instructions and I didn't find any draco specific DIY so figured I'd snap some details to help you with your project. You can skip through the drilling part of you know what you are doing. Hopefully this video was of some help for you.

    All these complainers about the drilling portion. I’m glad you left it all in the video, Draco trunnions can be VERY tough to drill through. It’s important for the everyday joe to understand this nuance before they think drilling into their Draco will be a cake walk... it’s not very difficult but it will take some effort

    I think a better option if you are going to drill a hole in the rear for this one brace, would be drill a hole(s) for a 1913 Pic rail. Then you have the option to add on many different braces and stocks including this one.

    • @eddiecrow9133
      @eddiecrow9133 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s just another potential point for it to be weak, this is better overall vs messing with a drilled in pic rail.

    • @reverendblkgrape1
      @reverendblkgrape1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eddiecrow9133 but the piece he is installing is drilled in also. The pic rail just give more options of thing to attach.

      @@reverendblkgrape1 what I’m saying is this is just a overall better design what other pic attatched brace can you name that handles the AK pistol well because the last offerings we’re just straight up trash and rubbery and flimsy, sba3 is the only good brace on the market besides this one, and it mounts directly to the rear trunnion versus attaching it to a pic rail which just makes another potential failure point if that pic rail comes loose which many report it does.

      The pic rail option is not as strong and adds one more thing to come loose. The only thing I would add to this video would be to clean the nut and bolt and use a thread locker to the threads.

    Take that propane torch at the bottom and hit the starting area for 20 seconds it will aneal just that area. you can wrap everything else in a wet rag to keep the heat treat I drill and tap mausers that way works fast.

      Know anybody with a drill press? Solid carbide drill and a few seconds n you will be done. Working on your guns is good n teaches u alot more about that gun other then the part u r workin on.- or avoid drilling and buy the one that mounts under your handle. It's clean looking as hell n all you gotta do is loosen the one handle bolt a little, slide it between, and tighten bolt back up. Nowhere near as rigid though

Hence the only reason I left the video whole and didnt edit. So other will know it's difficult and prepare better. Since then I have purchased an industrial vertical end mill and every drilling operation is a breeze. I could've edited the video and made it short.
