What an epic series Tyler. Just watched this with my daughter, having been watching one a night with her before bed. Explained to her that Kai is making faces because his Dad is in the middle of nowhere talking to nobody with a camera running and that feels weird to anyone and Tyler has to pretend we're all out here watching and listening (& you do a great job). Rest assured you're beaming into living rooms like a chilled out gentleman with a driving style that respects the tracks and your vehicle. And that any of us who get out there understand the sweat and thought behind the scenes. Can't imagine how much footage you waded through to get nearly 2.5 hours of finished quality content. Thank you. Can't do a lot of these trails but along the way you're visiting spots we can do and giving just enough info that I've bookmarked a bunch for future adventures.
Absolutely fantastic video Tyler! Those were some awesome tracks y’all found. Hope you dad’s rig wasn’t too expensive to fix. Keep up the great content - you have given me a lot of inspiration and ideas for my channel. Just need to wait for better weather in Washington State to do some camping while we are out wheeling. ❤️🐞
It looks like NSW is going to be stuffed again with this latest outbreak of covid. Who were the couple who wouldn't stay isolated ? they weren't FA's were they ?
Well at long last, I'm back ! haven't been able to comment for a few weeks now. Had a glitch when i did an update with Kaspersky, but my stepson sorted it all out. I've been watching all your stuff still Tyler and enjoying every minute of it. cheers
Fantastic video. Enjoyed watching you looking for waterfalls and swimming pools, awesome tracks. Hope your Dad Isuzu is well and not too expensive to repair.
I've had a similar issue with the gear selector on an auto Subaru XV work vehicle. Near the selector there should be a small piece of plastic cover that you can pry off. Stick a small thin flat blade screwdriver in there and press the lock pin and you can get it into gear generally. Maybe worth a try if it happens in future.
That Nissan of yours is very impressive, Tyler. It is a very sensible setup. Your smooth and controlled driving also makes it look easy, while the others struggle to keep up. Great video.
Kai is super lucky to be doing all this exploring with his old man pretty good one on one time he will remember for years. Loves his books! Does your mate have ome bp51? Sounds like when my lower shock mount spherical bearings where dry it was horrid, just a thought 👍. Great vid
Next time your at Glenreagh, if you havent already, go and find the 2 train tunnels along the Glenreagh-Dorrigo line. Worth the visit. Another good vid. Appreciated!
Hey Tyler big fan of the videos. Getting a navara stx and looking at a similar set up to yours. No canopy and just roof racks and awning. Wondering how many litres per 100kms you get after installing those items. Thanks mate.
That rail bridge must’ve been there for a while to have so much rotting in the timber. Generally red gum sleepers will last at least 100yrs if they aren’t used in moist garden beds. Anyway, that’s enough of a history lesson from me. If you cut a piece of that rail line and spent some time working it with a grinder, you’d find it’s very re-useable, for something.
TJ, with a bit of careful Google maps while watching you can roughly follow along to where they went and find the bridge. My vehicle won't get me as close as they got but I can just walk a bit further 🙂
Mate, how would you rate the GAIA app? I use Avenza where you download topo’s and it uses satellite for your position when off road. It’s the lite version which has been good so far but am looking for an alternative to spend on if it’s worth it.
So not even Drifta could hook you up with some new water bottles? 🤷♂️ Want me to start you a GoFundMe page for some new ones?? 🤣 Another sick video 🤙Merry Christmas to you and Kai 🎅
HiLux’s aren’t as unbreakable as Toyota would like us to believe. I used to work with a guy who’s 2014 model spent more time in the Toyota dealership workshop than out on the tracks. Funny thing is, he never took it off road, despite Toyota insisting he was punishing it on off road tracks. He eventually sold it to a local Toyota wrecker for a quarter of what he paid for it. He didn’t want another driver having the same issues and losing $$$ to Toyota.
Dads unlucky man those gearboxes are ment to be a really good auto heaps of vehicles use it now cause of how good they are like hilux prado new triton dmax etc

Great video, some tuff tracks out there. I’d never walk that bridge, 😓
Thanks 👍
Loving your adventures, good to see all the effort you go to to get great shots. Keep up the great work.
Thanks 👍
Fantastic video. Enjoyed watching you looking for waterfalls and swimming pools, awesome tracks. Hope your Dad Isuzu is well and not too expensive to repair.
Thanks mate!

What a place to live am a wee bit jealous 👍 🏴
Had to skip the bridge walking bit- waaaay to freaky for me! 😲😲
That cave looked so cool, will have to explore it one day for myself. 👍👍
Nice one Tyler hope your dads wagon is a easy fix 👍🇳🇿😎
Your dads rig is bound to have a break somehow mainly because it is working harder due to lack of diff lockers. Thst's what i reckon anyway..
Nice one mate. Bit of a bugger about your old boy's rig but at least it wasn't too hard to get it out by the look of it.
Yep wasn't too bad in the end!
That was a bloody awesome vid mate,, looking forward to the next one , have a great christmas to you and the family . 😊👌🎉
Thanks! You too!

Yeah we tried all that but wasn't the problem, was a stretched cable under the car
Some awesome stuff in there again Tyler. Cheers Steve

Omg you’re crazy!...crossing that bridge..;)
That Nissan of yours is very impressive, Tyler. It is a very sensible setup. Your smooth and controlled driving also makes it look easy, while the others struggle to keep up. Great video.
Thanks! 👍
Good vid.... Beautiful places.... Have a good xmas.....
Happy holidays!
Awesome trip mate, spewin about the mux, least it was a simple fix. 👍
Yep for sure mate!
That bridge scene, amazing
Another awesome vid mate
And yeah that train bridge 🤭
Kai is super lucky to be doing all this exploring with his old man pretty good one on one time he will remember for years. Loves his books!
Does your mate have ome bp51? Sounds like when my lower shock mount spherical bearings where dry it was horrid, just a thought 👍. Great vid
Thanks mate! He has bilstein shocks and dobinson springs
32:40 what track did u take to get here was out looking today
Next time your at Glenreagh, if you havent already, go and find the 2 train tunnels along the Glenreagh-Dorrigo line. Worth the visit. Another good vid. Appreciated!
Yep we were going to do that but apparently not allowed to access them at the moment due to a private property issue
There are 2 ways in. One via private property. The other way in is public land I believe. Thats how I went in, and many do.
Kai’s a legend 😂 some of those facial expressions 😂😂.
The isuzu isn't so Reliable. As people say. Great video's. Thank you.
Dude you need some scrub bars, otherwise those nice straight guards won’t look so nice if tap them on side of the track
Great video as always 👍
Thanks again!
Mate I take bee hives up those track's 👍
Nps 300

Thank you! Im not exactly sure but think its around the 12L per hundred
Great series. What rear bumper were you running in this ep?
Ironman one mate
@@TylerThompson90 Thanks Buddy. That is exactly what I want on my Frontier. Now just have to find one.

Thanks for the info mate!
You’re trying to work out the best way up that loop track and Kai’s blissfully unaware buried in his book 😂🇦🇺
Haha yep!
Are you finding it pretty easy to get permission from NPWS to fly your drone in the national parks?
Do you walk the steep hill track first or go for it. Thinking about it you must walk them setting up the cameras
Yeah I commonly walk them to set up the camera
ahhh Take me to that bridge !!! hahaha epic
Haha its an awesome spot!
TJ, with a bit of careful Google maps while watching you can roughly follow along to where they went and find the bridge. My vehicle won't get me as close as they got but I can just walk a bit further 🙂
Great videos mate. Ive got a 2014 manual mux. Just wondering what your dads got is it still on stock suspension and 255/65/17 tyres?
Thanks mate.
265/75/R16 tyres
2 inch bilstein and dobinson lift
That Tommo fellow sounds like a good bloke 😂 #coffscoast4x4andbushadventures
Awesome bro. Stunning. Shame about your dads car, hope good now 👍👍
Thanks 👍
You couldn't pay me to walk on tnat bridge!!
Me either. I reckon some mothers watching these videos would be having heart attacks...lol

Yep pretty happy with it! Seems to work well 👌
Tyler, what was the name of that offline GPS app you were using in this video?
GAIA GPS
@@TylerThompson90 thanks mate
Nice 👍🏿
So not even Drifta could hook you up with some new water bottles? 🤷♂️ Want me to start you a GoFundMe page for some new ones?? 🤣 Another sick video 🤙Merry Christmas to you and Kai 🎅
Haha thank you! Same to you 👌
Fyi its a tunnel, not a cave 😉
What gps app are you using mate ?
GAIA GPS
Awesome 👌!!
Yeah, nah! No way you’d get me on that bridge. Hope your Dad’s MUX is ok.
Is your nav manual
Yep
Whatever you do, don't eat those bats or bad things will happen. Wait...
Wow where is jimny
The Jimny isn't mine, I borrowed it for one weekend.
Ok but jimny is funny vehical for off road and we like see it from your videos
I don’t know why some viewers give you 👎🏻, must be pretty hard satisfy.
That Hilux doesn't sound healthy at the front end. If it was my 4WD, it'll drive me nuts hearing that noise constantly.
I wondered about that too. didn't sound good at all.

Yeah as I said in the video it was the front upper control arms were worn, had them replaced since and its all good now
Does anybody know the brand of the rear bar on the Hilux?
@@96timtamf Its a custom made one mate
Dads unlucky man those gearboxes are ment to be a really good auto heaps of vehicles use it now cause of how good they are like hilux prado new triton dmax etc
Yeah ended up being just a stretched cable
@@TylerThompson90 Good news be a relief for him not something serious
Well if the transmission would have been made by isuzu then never it would have died in the middle of nowhere,as unfortunately it's from the toyota
Actually not a Toyota trans at all , Isuzu and Toyota use Aisin transmissions , which have a great reputation
It was just a stretched cable in the end, cheap and easy fix
Can this kid say one sentence without “god damn” ...?
Haha I sweat while eating as well
😂
