I live in Coffs Harbour. I remind my kids regularly that they are very lucky! People spends lots of money to come to our city for a holiday, and we get to live here. The turtles are often seen around the north side of the jetty - there must be plenty of food around the piers. We also see dolphins and rays in the harbour, and the whale migration passes Coffs Harbour every year. It's never too hot or too cold. It rains quite a lot, but that means it's always green, and we can grow just about anything we like all year round. Glad you got to enjoy our region for a while - do come again!

Amazing! You're so lucky to live there. I do get the feeling we only scratched the surface of it all as we only had such a short time there. Seeing the turtle was such a special moment for us, it was on our wish list to do. We did see a lot of whales from the Byron Bay lighthouse walk which was lovely too.

Yes maybe went a little overboard on the beer. We realised how much it had cost the following morning and that level of consumption was not continued !!

Loved this!. Yes we make amazing coffee in Australia! I still take my Bellman in my VW when we go away for a trip. Our camping facilities are amazing too! My husband and I were in the UK at the time you were in Australia. I laughed at how you pronounced Port Macquarie (we live in Lake Macquarie south of Newcastle) this might help its pronounced Port McQuarry 🤣😂Funny I always bring a magnet and an apron home from our big trips 🤣 looking forward the rest of this series.

We got the hang of pronouncing it correctly in the end but never on camera!!

Great vlog guys. I hired a campervan and traveled from Sydney to Cairns over three weeks. That was in the year 2000. Following your travels brings back happy memories. Keep up the good work.

That is awesome! What a great trip that must have been. We've done Cairns to Brisbane before in a Camper too, and loved it!

The British food section at Cole’s looks just like the one in our supermarket in Texas.

It makes you wonder who decides on what british stuff to put on the shelves!! That can't be the most popular stuff sold here in the UK?!

En suite pitches need to be more common in the UK!

100% agree - we'd make great use of them here with the rain, cold etc we have too. Really needs to catch on more.

Is the awful weather in Brisbane due to climate change ? It seems Brisbane's weather is becoming more like Melbourne instead of north Queensland. Hot and humid one day , windy and cool the next for days in NOVEMBER for christ's sake , more like August weather.
No wonder more people are moving up to Cairns!

Yes I suspect so. We always feel so sorry for Australians and the wildlife with the extreme weather you get. The bushfires last year were horrendous and heartbreaking.

G'Day, Welcome to Australia fro the old dart, Not too many BWS in Australia, however there are thousands of Woolworths & Coles. I see this video is around 1 year old, better late than never I guess. I assume both of you are back in England now, I hope both of you come back for a longer trip next time. Great videos. All the best Mate,,,

Thank you! We had an amazing time - the trip was Sept 2022. We had 3 weeks in total, but only 11/12 nights with the Van. It was our second trip to Oz, having been for 3 weeks in Aug/Sept 2019. 3 weeks is the max we can get off work, so we need to start saving up the leave and the money to come back!
