driven that track a few times , each time time the Jeep Magazine has its Camp weekend at Coffs we hit that and commando hill been going every easter since 2013 , great track

Absolutely frothing these coffs trips, we had this exact trip planned back in February but the fires and torrential rain made us push it back. Keen to replan and get into it

Great work mate there is a track called koala Trail if you turn down England’s Road as soon as you get to the bush it’s the first track on the left pretty gnarly like to see that

Navara like Hilux disables front traction control if rear locker used ... with Hilux it's better to not use rear locker bc. Traction control is very good ... (like land rovers)

Wow what a wickid camp spot up on that mountain. That alone would be worth the drive, but the track inbetween was epic aswell. You are still proving what an ifs can do, nissan should sponsor you for sure lol.

Diff lock front please!!!!! I shudder every time I see the open front end, waiting for a CV to snap. If it does have traction control when in low range with rear locker, it doesn't work at all. Same for the Hilux.
Yeah will get a front locker eventually when I save up
Having a front locker doesn't necessarily mean you don't break stuff, it's actually easier to break cv's with lockers. All depends on your speed and what you know your rig can handle really
EDIT: car was a brand new 2019 NP300 Navara.
I was up Mt Selwyn at the summit last year and we found a bloke who had got stuck in a precarious position and had slid diagonally off the track on a ridge line. Luckily we had maxtrax as he had no winch and there was no safe way to bring our vehicles closer. What we found was that with the rear locker in, the car would send essentially zero torque to the front wheel that had grip (the other was up in the air) and just span the rears making matters worse. Brand new KM3s and melted a few lugs off on my maxtrax. I concluded that the traction control was either disabled or severely limited with the locker in so I suggested that they turn the locker off and see if the traction control worked better on its own. The car almost immediate sent drive to the front and rear wheels with the most grip, spat that trax out the back and self recovered. RIP Maxtrax but they did their job!

Front locker and you would've walked on through most of it. Very capable truck though.

Tyler Thompson I did it with my 07 prado with 2” lift and BFG a/t’s. Had to winch twice. The wattos is in my backyard
