Thanks for the reply. I am going to be having something similar started on the top next month. Think the plan is 6 implants on top. Sure the next year is gonna be rough but hope it isn't to bad.

I think it's really cool you do these videos to help others who have dentures and implants and it's interesting learning something new. Also, thank you for mentioning me! I appreciate that, always more then happy to support you!

Im thinking about doing the all on 4 procedure..How do you feel about that and if you dont mind telling me how much did your implants cost from start to finish..Im also curious if you used any insurance or was all this done out of pocket. I have insurance that will cover up to 15,000 toward implants and every dentist i go to seems to want to jack the amount up so they can bill my insurance company a lot and stick me with a high out of pocket cost. What would you suggest i do?

KNGHTRYDAFITNESS Thanks for your comment. How it was explained to me was that the All on 4 usually isn't the first choice. My dentist had told me that they prefer to put in as many implants as they can. However if you have a large amount of bone loss, they have the procedure of All on 4 which has changed the world of implant dentistry, by being able to place implants on most of the population.
I tell people to plan for a few things (And also find out exactly what your insurance will cover so you have something itemized on paper to give you an idea of what you may need to cover):
      1. Getting your teeth removed, and any oral surgery you may need.
      2. Ask if you will be needing any bone grafts or any infection pockets removed (By having this done at the same time as getting your teeth removed you may save months and months of healing time)
      3. Find out how many implants you will get and what kind.
      4. Ask if you will have to wait, or how long you will need to wait for your implants to heal under the gums (Which is usually 4 1/2 months for the bottom and 6 to 8 months for the top).
4.a. Or find out if you will be getting a temp set of teeth on the implants when you leave, or if you will need to get a set of dentures to wear while your implants are healing AND WHAT IS COVERED OR WHAT IT WILL COST.
      5. Find out a time line, that will give you an idea of how long the process will take from start to smile.
      6. How many appointments you will need, get those set up well in advance so you can get the times that you prefer.
      7. Ask about your line of communication with your dentist. You do NOT want any information to be confused. My dentist gave me his email to leave any questions, and his answering service to leave any messages that may need to be answered that day.
      8. Find out about the teeth your getting, how to take care of them, how long they usually last for, Yes there are many different options, and they all vary on how long they last and what materials they are made from, and also get educated about the titanium bars.
Most people I have talked to that have got dental implants have usually paid anywhere from $35,000 to $70,000 (Again that depends on what materials they use because there are options, but many of the upgrades can be very expensive depending on which ones you pick). Another option is to go to a dental college to get it done. It will save you some money, but may take a bit longer to do.
I wish you all the best.
