Nothing left to do but to become a Bretharian. Oh, but wait, our air is polluted. I admit that, after watching too many online health influencers with their various food warnings, I was starting to develop a serious food phobia. That was evidenced by my willing to try a Paleo diet, then a Keto diet, then a Carnivore diet, then Pescatarian, Mediterranean, Frugivore, FODMAP, and DASH, Vegetarian and Vegan. And then I finally realised that I had gone totally insane, so I went out and bought some Haagen Das Vanilla ice cream (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and went back to eating everything in moderation. Excellent video, Dr. Teitelbaum.

I am type 2 diabetic. I find the best diet for me is keto. Mostly meat, fats, sea food, non-starch vegetables and no sugar. Since I really like meat and I can easily live without rice, corn, potatoes, and sweets it is easy to follow and stick with. I am flexible enough to eat a spoon full of something that is very tempting since it rarely occurs. I walk every day and at 77 my health and attitude are quite good with little effort or restrictions. Life is good.

Only solution is to go back to traditional, age old methods of natural foods and cooking. Gradually improve the organs involved in digestion and metabolism to regain the lost vitality.

With all due respect to all the participants, here ... What is right for one person, isn't necessarily correct for another. Too many people speak of swizzling olive oil, without realizing that there are blood types that cannot tolerate much OO or much of ANY kind of anti-inflammatories/omega-3's, as they are ALL blood thinners and that can cause serious problems for certain blood types, particularly a sub-strata of blood type O. And, it it always better to live a long life and better yet, a healthy, "feel good" life. But we don't always get there. Foods are all made with two purposes: to sustain us in the short run (50-60-70 years, etc), and kill us in the long run.
We are all born with an expiration date, as the Lord never intended this to be our home. Which brings us to the thing that is THE MOST important thing: and that is, where will you and the rest of us spend eternity? Time is literally running out for this world ... look around, you can see the warning signs. Jesus is about to come to retrieve his church before the calamity of the antichrist happens. Do you want to go with us, or are you looking forward to staying here and taking part in hellacious chaos and gross misery? Of course, the intelligent person would consider a serious study of the situation. I sincerely hope you make the right decision.

Maybe you did too many raw plants or too repetitive? We know a lot of spinach isn’t good, for example, those daily smoothies with a huge amount of a green, too excessive. The term "throwing the baby out with the bath water"immediately comes to mind.. People are easily lead towards extreme diets like carnivore and veganism by people with a little knowledge and huge egos. Theeir actual knowledge is extremely limited. Only 50 years ago, most people were very healthy. It's not that hard. Our society has become mentally more than physically ill. Life is about survival.

Carnivore is extreme because it is a very restricted diet. Vegan diets are not. Many vegans eat a bigger variety of food sources and foods than most omnivores. The perception of vegan diets to people who have little knowledge or experience of the subject tend to be very different to the reality of life long vegans. The ignorance can be quite profound. Example “Salads don’t provide the nutrition you need you can’t survive on lettuce, tomato and cucumber” is a quote from a video claiming to debunk vegan diets. Someone from Iran, Lebanon, Israel, France or Italy, vegan or not, would find the ignorance about what a salad is absolutely hilarious.

I've just known too many people go on a vegan diet for ideological reasons (animal welfare) which is fair enough, but they have little knowledge of nutrition, so eat an unhealthy vegan diet. I suppose it is up to each of us to figure it out. It's just that there a lot of so-called experts out there telling people almost everything is bad. The smartest diet generally seems to be whole unprocessed foods.

This is a straw man argument. Your patients come to consult with you for specific conditions. This means their experiences cannot be extrapolated out to the general population.
Additionally, dietary 'restriction' is a red herring. It is a negatively connoted phrase with no technical meaning used for negative shock value. Nobody complains about 'restricting' Doritos and Twinkies and soda pop. The idea that achieving better health through eschewing foods that make us feel bad is somehow a problem is asinine.

Yes, like everything else we treat, we first must see why the immune system is behaving so unintelligently, and then fix it so that the person is no longer allergic. This is a much better approach than just avoiding the offending food or allergen and using antihistamines and steroids. We have to take each case individually because each person has their own unique set of imbalances that are causing the symptoms (in this case the allergy).

Strange disinformation. Not a word about our ancestral development on animal protein, could it be that ayurveda is from India and forbids eating beef? Not a word about processen industrial "food" and insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. I have tried keto and a little bit of carnivore with great success, to solve weight problems, getting of statins. She mentions real but marginal problems, uses no scientific method and overlooks the general health problems of today. Currently India has the worst metabolic health in the world, due to bad food choices from what I understand.

      @sarahb.6475 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

She also left out the fact that much of it is genetic. Many people have the celiac gene. Which means celiac is genetic. Doing some soaking or whatever is not going to change the fact you cannot eat those gluten containing grains. And no mention of MCAS which often goes with hEDS. Or autism. And I never heard of anyone actually curing an IgE food allergy. Its down right dangerous to even try that. Too many people have died from tiny amounts of peanut or egg or other allergens in their food. "Proper digestion" is not going to fix that. Tell that to the building inspector who died from the building he went to inspect and they were sand blasting inside with nut shells and he died. He didn't even eat it. 😢 or what about the people who have multiple copies of the tryptase gene??
Take hEDS. Which often travels with MCAS. None of the connective tissue is formed right. You are born that way. But that leads to mast cell activation syndrome. The mast cells are in the connective tissue. It has nothing to do with digestion. You are born that way. With hypermobile joints but that connective tissue is all over the body. Those herbs or stuff in bottles behind her isn't going to fix that. In fact they'd be allergic to that stuff too!
Dangerous misinformation if you ask me, especially for people with true IgE allergies.
I do quite well on my meat diet. But fruits and veggies are just too toxic. Not only plant proteins but all the junk sprayed on it. How can she ignore that part?? Does it ever occur to her it may not be the actual orange people are reacting to but the junk sprayed on it? And if they are ALL sprayed with stuff... Well... Sort of useless. Unless people can actually grow their own AND know for sure the land is totally safe to use (free of those nasty chemicals etc) people should just eat grass fed meat. It provides all the stuff you need. Meat. Eggs. Liver. My point being there is no way to know what is sprayed on what as even organic can get sprayed I heard. 😮 or farmers using that fertilizer full of those forever chemical and then that land is RUINED. Its toxic.
I have tons of energy on my meat based diet. On 0 meds at 52. And i have a resting heart rate of 55. At night it goes into the 40s. Have great endurance. But most foods i react to. Its genetic. Or in part it is.
I mean that stuff is not worth the reactions. Last time I tried cheese I woke up to swollen eyelids. Many fruits give me ear ringing and joint pain to name a few. And what about the reactions to non food items? Like perfume, air freshener, ink, paint, most normal cleaning liquids like dish soap, etc?? Its not only food! Or that you rub your skin lightly and a red line appears for 20 minutes? Skin writing? Burning eyes from people cooking grain - react to the fumes. Outside!
Its the ancient Egyptians that started to eat grain. 😐 and started a bad trend. Rotten teeth too. They had worshipped cats. Too bad they didnt eat like them: meat! Would have saved a lot of grief.
We have small stomachs and forward facing eyes like a lion. And we cannot produce B12 in the gut like a herbivore. Herbivores produce their own B12.
