We have camped in the back of my 110. Its a bit cramped at 5’10” but not awful (the trick is raising the height with an inflatable mattress (better comfort too!). All that said, I think its important to say not all 110s lie flat… if your 110 has third row seating, it will not lay flat, nor will your second row seating if the back row seats are adjustable (they slide back and forth). And there is a hack from PowerfulUK that allows you to install a back door release button too (highly recommended!)
If you have the electric memory seats option, set option 3 as seats all the way forward for sleeping in the back. I think you can pull the 2nd row seat bases out so they don't form the bump. Then you have to fill the gap between the front and rear seats. I am thinking about this for taller sleepers. The minimal wheel wells are a help.
Been sleeping in mine for 2 weeks in Germany and Holland. The stale sir is the biggest issue. I tend to leave the back door open an inch or two to get fresh air inside
the measurements and the way the folded 2nd row seat bottoms are in the way is why I just stuck with a Discovery. it just doesn't work well for my snowboarding equipment and lengthy bags, on the Disco there is nothing in the way. but the flatter surface in the Defender is nice (Disco can sort of do that if you hold the fold button down and squish the bejeezus out of the seat bottom ;)) . thanks for measuring!
I have 7 seater version and the middle row is folding in a different manner that gives you extra space, I’m 6.1 and I fit just fine. As per fresh air I fit Nakatanenga vents when I’m camping. For rear door there is aftermarket switch kit which lets you open the door from inside and takes 10mins to install.
the two buttons at the back to raise and lower the Defender does both the rear and the front, the back moves first and then the front follows so you can just raise the rear to level the car Just thought I would mention it as I have a Defender too. Mike Brisbane Australia
Disappointing folding situation. If one chose this car anyway, as a tall dude I'd imagine sort sort of matress support that foldes flat but can double as under bed storage, or bed storage. The support would lift the head or feet side over the cushions.
If you're tired enough, you will sleep in any car. That would not the biggest issue of owning a land rover. What a beautiful vehicle. If only it had a Toyota badge on it.
No thanks. I owned a Toyata Rav 4 - Biggest pile of dangerously under-engineered and unreliable poop I've owned E.g. Structural crack in the rear door as it could not take the weight of the rear wheel it was designed to hold, speedo packed up at 35,000 miles, locks frozen internally in the winter (Class action in Canada for that), tow bar fell off as the threads in the chassis were too small to take the weight etc etc etc.
This vehicle isn't a patch on its predecessor, building a sleeping platform denies you access to the storage compartment, can those rear seats be removed? Even if they were, there is no room to sit on a bench upright, they really failed when designing this, I guess that's what happens when you sell out to another company, happy trails, 👍☘️

I see no point of keeping the front seats as normal when arranging to sleep.

I have 7 seater version also but i am not able to fold seats 100% flat. For some reason is dont have that “loop” to pull up 🤯
