Like with Michael Norman, was great to see Shaunae finally win that elusive WC Gold! Thought she'd try and make further history by going for 5 consecutive 400m Golds from '21 - '25, but then surprisingly confirmed stepping down from the 400m to the short sprints meaning we'll never get the Ultimate W400m Lineup of Shaunae, Syd, Femke, Britton, Naser, Paulino, Adeleke & Athing :( Those lane assignments would be very interesting! Massive congratulations to Shaunae & Maicel on the birth of baby Maicel Uibo Jr :) Look forward to their return next year!
There's nothing surprising, her 400m life cycle is at an end & she knew it, no longer has the endurance to match the speed, plus the fact that she would be dethroned by Naser, Britton & Co in 2023.
Luckily, she isn't in world championships to feel that 2nd place or lower finish. 🤰
As for Sydney, she is slower than both Britton and Bol on the flat, her technique of using both legs as leads is what impacts her transition on hurdles better than them, saying she is a serious threat is fanboy/girl talk, facts say otherwise but we'll see

I was rooting for her 200 event, she was dominating the 200 event during 2021 season but she never made it last, I still hope she will compete 200 in the future

Her achievements are way behind her talent.
She could be as sucessfull as Bolt. She is the only women who can break the 200m WR and has the potential to run a sub 48s 400.
With this body she has a huge advantage over the rest.

I truly believe Shericka wouldve medaled again in the 400m if she chose to run it in Oregon. That wouldve been epic to medal in the 100m, 200m and the 400m in the same WC? 😂
Only way someone like Shericka attempts this is if the rounds gets reduced from 3 to 2 so that only 6 races in a week need to be run for that historic triple as opposed to 9!

Can't believe she's only got one individual Global Medal with her 400m Bronze from the '13 WC! Came so close to breaking Lorraine Fenton's 49.30 NR with her 49.34 PB in Tokyo '21, so many near misses for her! At age 34, does she have one more individual medal left in her this year or next?!
