    I would have liked Allyson Felix to win this 400m final. However, Shaunae Miller-Uibo has matured over the distance since the Rio Olympics so she is not to be denied. What a great race.

    Why are they using these commentators? There’s no excitement whatsoever.
    Uibo just ran a low 48
    Uibo just became a double-Olympic champ
    Felix just won her 10th Olympic medal and set a masters WR
    Paulino just won her first medal and ran 49.2

    Great race. I didn't think Uibo would pull of a 48 with her injury and with what happened in the 200, but she's in a league of her own. Hope to see her run faster next season. Paulino had an incredible Olympics and did great. Mcpherson might have had enough to secure a bronze but she was chasing down Uibo in the first half of the race. Felix is such a fighter.

    Anyone else felt pain for McPherson who finished in 4th? She had won to Felix in semifinals, so I guess she thought could win bronze medal. I'm Felix's fan but I felt pain when McPherson got pain attack

      McPherson did not respect her usual race plan. She is known as a finisher and she tried to run in Miller's footsteps then finally suffered in the final stretch!

      She is amazing at almost 36.
      And, she has done it since 2004 in a CLEAN way. Allyson Felix is one of the VERY FEW athletes that most people would call a truly clean athlete. She offered herself to be tested more times and more frequently than any other athlete in the project Believe. This is something that not many track stars would dare to do it.

      @@dereckdean578 Allyson Felix is the most consistent runner, with the most medals of every type in history. She has made the Olympics many times and always wins some kind of medal. She also doesn't look like your average sprinter. She's not muscled out! She also overcame a hard pregnancy to make another Olympics when people felt it was over for her. She is definitely a trooper and a class act. Even if you dont like her you can't deny that!

      @@dereckdean578 Felix was great at both 400m and 200m and decent at 100m but she isn't the GOAT at any of these distances. 400m she has no case for GOAT as is 22nd fastest in history and zero individual Olympic golds and 1 individual world championships gold. 200m she has a better case as she has 1 Olympics gold, 3 world championships gold and is 7th fastest in history. Personally for me 400m as of now, Marie Jose Perec, 200m GOAT Elaine Thompson and 100m GOAT Shelly Anne Fraser-Pryce.

    Shanue Miller is just the second woman to defend the 400m Olympic title since Marie Jose Perec in Atlanta 1996. Perec 48.25 Olympic record still stand.

    Felix time is better than Rio 2016. Much respect to her. I feel the last lane made this miracle else she was always in the middle and making moves according to the crowd wisely but this time she was just on the fire as she can not see any one till 250m. I saw her relays as well, since she was always ahead of her opponent so she ran faster and had a split of 48sec or lesser than that. I wish she could have ran at lane 8 during her prime time, it would be definitely a better PB in 400m.

      @@dereckdean578 She has yet not peaked so for her it is normal. But Felix is near to retirement and hence its rare. Felix and SAFP both got injured before Rio so that was the main reason that they both had to settle down without gold in Rio.
