For all the issues I have with the show as a Fallout fan, you simply cannot deny the passion that was put into it. Truly a great series and I would love to see season 2!
The Whopper City ending made me hang on a thread throughout the series, but it paid off for sure when I watched the episode. Made me so happy as a fan of the games and as a filmmaker.
I remember finding out that a Fallout TV show was actually going to happen and being happy and nervous. I am very heavily invested in The Fallout universe. I have so much Fallout merchandise on bookshelves and walls. I have all the video games, most of the collectors editions, cards, posters, funko pop figures, I have 5 pipboys, I have watched hours and hours of lore videos on youtube. This is my favorite gaming universe hands down. I love it. So many people were talking shit before it even came out. Saying it was going to be this and that and a bunch of other nonsense. They fucking killed it. There were a couple parts i thought could have been done differently, but over all they nailed it. They nailed the vibe of Fallout perfectly. The sense of humor and the bleakness of it all. It was so good. I cant wait for season 2. I want them to take their time and get it right, but im here for it. We need a spin off that goes over the supernatural aspect of Fallout. That would be sick. There are so many stories to tell.
The good thing about stacking is that everyone is at least potentially unreliable as narrators. There's some stuff we've been told that characters believe but that I'm pretty sure isn't true. But we the audience get multiple lines of evidence leading to the same conclusion here so these events don't need to be things we're questioning. We can be confident of this.
The season finale did a good job of dialing down the campiness. I know Bethesda pitches Fallout as "the funnest and goofiest Post-apocalypse in the Post-Apocalyptic genre", but the original Fallout WAS very dark and serious, and the finale did a good job of bringing the TRUE Fallout vibe to the screen.
I'm happy they found a nice balance between the fun, ludicrous, and campy elements from more recent games, while also gobsmacking the audience with some grimdark sci-fi/apocalypse and horror elements inherent in the early games. But I will also say, the sort of campy, pulpy, Soylent Green/1950s b-movie horror/scifi aspects of Fallout as an IP is what makes it my favorite, fictional post-apocalyptic world. Take away the dry, dark humor, bizarre scifi undertones, and camp, and you're left with just another dark, dreary post-apocalyptic entry from Hollywood. That's what makes Fallout an outstanding piece of the post-apocalyptic fiction puzzle - it can do both.

I had extremely high expectations of this show, thankfully the team absolutely nailed it. So much great world building, so much potential for Fallout in the future. Great work by them all
Rewatching the series, certain scenes hit different. Like when Lucy says she could never look her father in the eye if she doomed an entire community just to help herself. Or the Vault-Tec ad shoot where Cooper asks if the suits really block radiation.
As if I didn't love Walton enough he absolutely nails the role, chews up every scene he's in. I would love for him to get acting nominations but for a show like this who knows. He deserves all the accolades.
When I watched the trailer it already looked so good, but I sadly just don’t go into a new show or movie with expectations, especially if it’s a game adaptation(i feel very sorry for all the Halo fans😢) But it wasn’t hard to see that all the people who worked on the project put so much passion and care into making this show, everything was on point. And learning that the set from the last episode was as much practical as possible made me almost as excited as every time the ghoul got to be a badass. I really don’t like to watch something that looks like it was all done in a studio and a colored screen because I hate being able to see that a movie was made with cgi, I hate it with a passion 🤣 And I really like every character but Walton as the ghoul……, does he really heef have to be so charismatic? He got me simping over a ghoul 🫠🤣 His intro as the ghoul also was so good, but it’s the we cowboys….we take it as it comes and then the music, full body chills! I think I can definitely add this one to my list of comfort shows, I can just put on and enjoy just as much😄👍🏻
You know where i expect him to cameo? When and if we get more flashbacks or background about the guy sitting in the shadows above the council that Coup's wife looks up to. The strings puller the guy behind the wheel Coup mentions in the end. Can you imagine him shown talking to someone and saying the "War never changes" line?
They really nailed it with putting all the whoppers together. Fallout is such an everything burger of a setting - it can feel thin when there's so much dark humor and just plain ridiculousness, but it's underscored in every iteration by some absolute gut-punch dramatic plot twists that make the world feel real when they hit and feel exactly like The Ghoul, Lucy, and Maximus in this scene. Like the world, in its absurdity, brutality, and ridiculousness, wakes you up to its reality of being this absolutely tragic story of humanity. That's what they captured by having all the whoppers in one scene, it's the fundamental message of Fallout. Spread those moments out and they start to lose meaning. What a brilliant alchemy they discovered for this show - the writers, producers, directors, setting, actors, costume designers, VFX, the AR wall - just everything and everyone came together to create a masterpiece of a show and goddamn I can't wait to see what they come up with next
Seeing Walton Goggins play the Ghoul makes me want to see him play a star wars character. Maybe a another Bounty Hunter or Smuggler or some type of underground crime. He has good comedy chops. And star wars hasnt really had a main character with a sense of humor. Someone with a sense of humor like Han Solo except a little bit more comedic and dark humour.
When you're writing the "big reveal" in a Fallout story, you have to think "What's the absolute worst thing that could happen?" and then you think "How can I make it worse than that?"
I really hope they dont fumble the bag in s2 and keep this story firing up, the first season feels like the beginning of a fallout game and up to the middle part, its awesome to have a game tv show that finally hit home with the game fans and made non game fans intrested in the universe

Rewatching the series, certain scenes hit different. Like when Lucy says she could never look her father in the eye if she doomed an entire community just to help herself. Or the Vault-Tec ad shoot where Cooper asks if the suits really block radiation.
The funniest part about Geneva and Graham is that coincidentally their names are also in Fallout 4
Everything is always on point. Can't get enough!
As if I didn't love Walton enough he absolutely nails the role, chews up every scene he's in. I would love for him to get acting nominations but for a show like this who knows. He deserves all the accolades.
As The World Caves In is such a good pull for Lucy, I can completely see that song playing for her in the finale.
Amazing actor
Aaron is FANTASTIC as Maximus!
Mr House confirmed alive basically
The house always wins
I'd like to see Ron Pearlman do a cameo next season.. maybe a Super Mutant? Anyone else have any ideas?
Since they're introducing npc's from the series I think Pearlman as Uncle Leo would be cool.
Great story and characters made the show really good, crossing fingers here we get an NCR Ranger character in Season 2 !
Great interview! Thanks 😎🍷
I got The Good, The Bad and The Ugly drift very early. I thought it was just awesome. I love Leone movies. I love this series.
Yes, the man with no name
23:05 Confirmed. Walton Goggins love side missions more than the main.
Awesome interview!
23:06 saving this for later
Lol, he definitely meant "Side Quests."
I love it
Thanks for making great art better.
I absolutely adore Ella!
Walton Goggins came along way from robbing trains and wingin it
When I watched the trailer it already looked so good, but I sadly just don’t go into a new show or movie with expectations, especially if it’s a game adaptation(i feel very sorry for all the Halo fans😢)
But it wasn’t hard to see that all the people who worked on the project put so much passion and care into making this show, everything was on point.
And learning that the set from the last episode was as much practical as possible made me almost as excited as every time the ghoul got to be a badass.
I really don’t like to watch something that looks like it was all done in a studio and a colored screen because I hate being able to see that a movie was made with cgi, I hate it with a passion 🤣
And I really like every character but Walton as the ghoul……, does he really heef have to be so charismatic?
He got me simping over a ghoul 🫠🤣
His intro as the ghoul also was so good, but it’s the we cowboys….we take it as it comes and then the music, full body chills!
I think I can definitely add this one to my list of comfort shows, I can just put on and enjoy just as much😄👍🏻
I still thinks its insane ron pearlman isnt in this as a BOS elder
There is always season 2 and the Mojave chapter of the Brotherhood.
Hopefully the show runners realize and bring him in season 2!!’
Nah hes deffo voicing goris from fallout 2.
A chapter of the Brotherhood called, "Sons of Steel"? 😉
I’ve loved Walton Goggins for years! It’s so cool to see him finding his groove and getting the recognition he deserves!
Amazing show - great actors.
I like the burger analogy
I like burger
brilliant writing
They basically just confirmed that Mr. House's ending in New Vegas is canon.
@fallz281that’s probably what they meant
What a brilliant alchemy they discovered for this show - the writers, producers, directors, setting, actors, costume designers, VFX, the AR wall - just everything and everyone came together to create a masterpiece of a show and goddamn I can't wait to see what they come up with next
peak television so good!
Prime and doing adaptations are a perfect mix.
Love these types of videos, BTS stuff is cool but with actors and show runners is even better
Good god, Walton's dripping sooo much charisma
Honestly the first season was so goated!!! Can’t wait for next season!!!
Goggins saved the show for me. He made ghouls cool 😎
What’s that music played during the outtro? Pretty cool…
the only thing that could have made this better would be having Kyle Maclachlan present, but regardless, fantastic insight in this video!
Hell of a show.
23:03
That's what Fallout is all about!
I really hope they dont fumble the bag in s2 and keep this story firing up, the first season feels like the beginning of a fallout game and up to the middle part, its awesome to have a game tv show that finally hit home with the game fans and made non game fans intrested in the universe
so glad to see Walton Goggins is so into this series, he was amazing in the first season
Man someone get Walton a stronger chair. He looked one flex away from busting it.
When you're an actor as good as WG, even your chair gets upstaging levels of quality character! Those chair sounds would make a foley artist jealous.
so glad the show turned out great. Can't wait for season 2 and the next game, likely in 10 years!
