I feel the same way!! I first heard of fallout 3 when I was 13 and couldn't play it because I didn't have a console but now that I'm 23, I can safely say i caught up to most of the lore. Fallout 4 was my first fallout game and then New Vegas, and lastly 3. I'm so happy the show turned out the way it did, my gf was also very into it.
It's just like the Last of Us. It has great storytelling, excellent worldbuilding, character development, and set designs. The show is extremely accurate to the game lore, and the actors truly knocked it out of the park and really respect the source material. All of that is why these two shows were such successes.
To be totally honest, I admire Lucy for her commitment to the Fallout lore, she had at least an idea for most of the questions and played the games, which is not easy to do of you know nothing about it. Same goes for Maximus, the question about the transistor is something I was not expecting any of them to be able to reply.
She said she only played, what she calls it, the "first level" of Fallout 4 😆 But that's still way more than all the other guys, so i appreciate her for that. It's also possible she's played more of the game since saying that, but who knows.

Question (3:49), “Is Wasteland in the Fallout universe?“ I‘m pretty sure the question is referring to game Wasteland rather than the wasteland which is referred to in the Fallout universe. The game Wasteland partially inspired the devs to create the original Fallout game and is not a part of the Fallout universe in itself.
Also it's not quite right to say it inspired the devs, since Brian Fargo made both games. It's better to say Fallout is a spiritual successor to Wasteland
3:47 Wasteland (Capital W) refers to the rpg series of games, the first of which came out in the 1980s and was a precursor to Fallout's post-apocalyptic setting, The two series share several common tropes (desert rangers, mutants, etc) but they do not share a universe.

@@youngnat I've heard good things about that show, and I think it was moreso that the show runners wanted to let the actors explore their own personification of the characters based on the materials and direction rather than try to create a carbon copy of a video game character. As well written as the last of us is, there's certain things that simply wouldn't translate well to a show or movie, since there is no active player in these mediums but instead a passive audience. Compare this to the Halo series, where both the actors and show runners intentionally avoided learning anything about the games or the larger setting. It led to versions of these iconic characters that are nothing like their video game counterparts, ex: the Keyes, Master Chief, the Arbiter, Cortana, Halsey. It all comes down to the competency of the show runners to balance what's good for bringing the setting to a show format, and staying true to the setting as a whole.
@@daggerfalls101The last of us show runners included the head director for Last Of Us games, no one knows more than that guy and even he didn’t want the actors to know crap.
@@blltz4410 well said.
@@ito2789 thanks!
@@blltz4410I genuinely hope Hollywood is paying attention to how this one played out. Who would have guessed that just sticking to the source material and remaining passionate would’ve resulted in greatness? Certainly not the Witcher 😂
@@FirEBeast100% agree. It’ll never make sense to me cause even if creators and financiers have zero appreciation for the source material and just want to make money, if they just follow the material it’s so much more likely to do well!
I love how genuinely smart and considerate these actors are, especially with that question about the realism of the setting. Definitely a great promotion for the show
it is refreshing that they the actors and showrunner don't treat the fanbase like and idiot children like other (video game/famous books adapted) shows did.
They all seem like such nice people. I hope the fandom treats them well ❤
Unfortunately there will always be people who are going to be toxic, whether the show is good or not.
Great to see Walton Goggins on TV. Loved him in Justified!
These three did an absolute amazing job. Excellent character development and acting. Thank you so very much.
Just binged season one, so far it’s fantastic. I love how authentic and true they stayed to the game and premise
God this is such a sick cast genuinely. They bounce off eachother so well.
exactly i rate this cast so much
I want Fallout on TV every week, every month, every year. The story/world is absolutely full of possibilities: MORE! MORE!
Love how Wired fed them the question "is Wasteland in the fallout universe" not checking if there was a game series called like that made by interplay. Love them journalists.
Answer yes. Fallout new Vegas makes the Colorado/Arizona Rangers Canon.
Came here for this.
@@hughmann9568 Is the whole series canon (i.e. Wasteland 2 and 3) or just the original classic? (Wasteland 2 was released after New Vegas.)
@@SIGSTART nope none of it is but fallout is based off of wasteland its a spiritual successor made by some of the people that made wasteland
@@hughmann9568 it is more of a reference
Obsessed with the way Walton Goggins pronounces “feral”
I noticed his pronunciation changed after listening to Aaron and Ella say it... he probably had only ever seen it written until just then
That’s Uncle Baby Billy right there!!
“Fear-el”
@@RickHamouris I'm sure he had heard the word by that point, some people just pronounce things differently.
@@RickHamouris feral is a common word outside fallout lol
I love these three, I just love how chill and genuine everyone is when answering the questions.
3:49 they could have also meant the games seri3s Wasteland, a post apocalyptic precursor to Fallout which has some shared history.
