That joke about a vault being about the size of an amazon warehouse was good. Then I remembered that the show is made by amazon and it got a whole lot funnier as well as concerning.
yeeeeeah amazon could be vault-tec
didnt really catch that until you mentioned it. thats pretty good. you are now my 'momentary' hero!
Harsh... on VaultTec, they'd never make workers pee in bottles
Haha the irony of one of the evilest companies in the world making a tv show about an evil company! xD Perhaps, this is why the show is so good? Amazon doesn't have to try too hard to really capture that evil megacorporation feel, lmao.
Haha…
Walton Goggins is such an underrated actor. He absolutely steals every scene he's in. Felt like he was pulling some of that Boyd Crowder into the role.
He was great in Justified
Also in the shield, one of my favorite characters in that show
@Michael_Lochlann totally agree, found it while browsing once and completely fell in love with it, so underrated, after that I found Justified because of Walton Goggins and he is so underappreciated, such a talentet actor
@Michael_Lochlann forgot to add both shows especially the shield towards the end really showed Goggins' acting skills he pulls out all the emotions, but tbh everyone in that show were amazing
Absolutely; he was so amazing in the antihero role in Justified, and made the show perfect as the opposite of Tymothy Olyphant. I was so ramped up to see he was in this series.
Working at an Amazon Warehouse is like being stuck in a Vault for experiments, confirmed.

I think Walton Goggins is THE PERFECT actor for cowboy/outlaw roles in Movies/TV Shows. Loved his performance in Fallout, The Hateful 8 and Django. He is a great actor
The Shield is what he's known for for people with taste
Walton really seems like he's having the time of his life.
Walton jokes it’ll be 10 seasons, but after watching the first season, I hope it is. Loved every second of it!
I don't think 10 will be enough.

With another 10 seasons as side quests
100%
First 10 seasons, then all 122 seasons in-all to capture every vault's story. 👍
You could tell in the show Walton loved being the ghoul. Dude gets to be in a massive budget sci-fi show but for him it's the gunslinger/western genre he's known for just in makeup.
To pull back another layer, the ghoul was an actor who played a famous cowboy, so basically Goggins is an actor known for westerns playing another actor known for westerns🤔

I've seen a bunch of Walton Goggins' interviews since the show released and I gotta say, I really appreciate that he doesn't ever put down the medium of videogames despite not playing them himself. Lots of actors or non-millenials/zoomers in general seem dismissive of games even when they try not to be, but he seems very open to the idea that there's probably a reason they are so beloved, even if he doesn't quite get it himself.
well said.. for most its either they love em or hate em.. (more specifically women too) i had 1 ex who looked down on me for playing them, and 2 that actively would either play or watch, .. im not saying its the best thing to do with your time all the time, but for me it is a wonderful escape for a bit.. and sometimes more than a bit! haha . anyway agreed!
Just found out Lucy played Jinx in arcane. Love to see someone taking VG material seriously and absolutely killing the role(same goes for the guys they were great in the show).
Walton Goggins being extremely humble giving other actors their props like he's not an incredibly talented and established actor himself. He's honestly one of the best
IKR! I'm not a gamer but when I saw that he was in the cast I said, "I'M IN!".
He is still overlooked by many people. Hopefully it changes after Fallout.
Been a fan of his ever since I watched The Shield, which is one of the most criminally underrated shows of all time. His entire character arc is second only to the lead's, but is one of the biggest reasons why that show couldn't be made today despite being more relevant than when it was made.
He alone raises the bar for any other actor he works with. You would think his character in sons of anarchy is ridiculous on paper, but ended up being one of my favourites of that show, which is one of my favourites ever. He kills it every time.
He carried justified on his BACK
Walton Goggins might hands down be the best actor for Evil Cowboys that has ever existed tbh

Why does she leave the vault? “To get to the other side” is actually a perfect answer 🤣
" so they didnt play the games" yea so what. they dont need to. its not their job to know the lore, its the writers and creators. they just act
I agree. I think it would only help, but they don't need to know the lore. Their characters don't know the lore, they live their solitary lives. They dunno who the Courier is or The Lone Wanderer like we do. It would be weird if they did.
That actually sounds a lot like Nolan. Like, to get a genuine reaction about vault experiments or something.

This show deserves so many more seasons, I loved playing Fallout 4, but didn’t expect this show to be as good as it is, hope all of the cast gets to run with the show for a long time, deserves many more seasons, well done to everyone involved
Great cast, great show! Looking forward to season 2.
The reason this show is so successful is because you can tell everyone invested in the source material. The actors know so much about the games unlike other shows or movies where you ask an actor a question and they have no clue what the game or comic book is about. Fallout tv show is amazing! Season 2 gonna be epic!
Did we not watch the same video? They seem pretty clueless. Which I don't think it matters if they know the games or not, but they just don't.
I know right @edenkeeping2298
bruh, they dont, he said they would exsplore the whole world, but in the games, its only usa, so why would they discover the other places thats not even canon yet?
@@SimSummer Dude... He wasn't talking about the games, series could very much include other areas, and, more importantly, it was clearly a joke - series was only just renewed for season 2, he as an actor has no idea how long Amazon will keep it alive...
You can also tell you know nothing about the game lol .
Honestly in comparison to the rest of video game tv shows/movies their knowledge on the games is actually better then I thought it would be
Edit: just finished the show. It was incredible. A video game adaptation done right.
Definitely seems like a good sign for the show, but I'm still waiting until I see it to give a proper judgement.
@@daggerfalls101 have you already forgotten The Witcher, Halo, Rings of Power???? This show needs to tank so Bethesda can get their head on straight. Same with Amazon. "catering to fans of the games is kinda pointless". Nolan can go F himself for that.
Last of Us cast were asked to be completely clueless about the game and it worked like a charm
@@youngnat I've heard good things about that show, and I think it was moreso that the show runners wanted to let the actors explore their own personification of the characters based on the materials and direction rather than try to create a carbon copy of a video game character. As well written as the last of us is, there's certain things that simply wouldn't translate well to a show or movie, since there is no active player in these mediums but instead a passive audience. Compare this to the Halo series, where both the actors and show runners intentionally avoided learning anything about the games or the larger setting. It led to versions of these iconic characters that are nothing like their video game counterparts, ex: the Keyes, Master Chief, the Arbiter, Cortana, Halsey. It all comes down to the competency of the show runners to balance what's good for bringing the setting to a show format, and staying true to the setting as a whole.
@@daggerfalls101The last of us show runners included the head director for Last Of Us games, no one knows more than that guy and even he didn’t want the actors to know crap. I’m saying this because I think this video is rather pointless and is neither a good nor bad sign for the show. Especially since fallout doesn’t have characters to adapt for TV, just the setting and the storytelling. The most worrying thing is that they don’t have to give fans what they want for it to be a good fallout TV show.
I just LOVE Walton Goggins in every single role he's played. Every single one.
I love that they know so much and they love being part of the show and the Fallout universe
I felt like a kid watching the show, and I'm 45. The cast did a phenomenal job.
Yeah the immersion was next level
@@Kyle-nm1kh Yes pregnant women with fork in their eyes firing SMGs is really immersive. Women cosplaying as men is also really immersive.
I loved how close it was to the game

i love that ella has actually
played a fallout game that makes me so happy !! loved the show.

Shows is amazing. All the small details that only those who have played the games know, like the slow -mo shoot-outs are a reference to V.A.T.S
Love how Wired fed them the question "is Wasteland in the fallout universe" not checking if there was a game series called like that made by interplay. Love them journalists.
Answer yes. Fallout new Vegas makes the Colorado/Arizona Rangers Canon.
Came here for this.
@@hughmann9568 Is the whole series canon (i.e. Wasteland 2 and 3) or just the original classic? (Wasteland 2 was released after New Vegas.)
@@SIGSTART nope none of it is but fallout is based off of wasteland its a spiritual successor made by some of the people that made wasteland
@@hughmann9568 it is more of a reference
Soooo, when Mr. Goggins said “it’s in my contract” I’ve lived for over 200 years, “maybe I’ll live for 205 years.”
Did he just insinuate he’s signed on for at least 5 years of Fallout?!?!
Please, God.
I think he was just hinting that he had a good time working with the cast and didnt mind if this would become a long time project
I mean the show got confirmed for a second season so maybe
5 year show contract is STANDARD....unless canceled
I'm hoping that it's good...as a fan of the game...
~5 year series would make sense if they wanted to integrate this into the next game.
If we consider this series like a Fallout Game, which it really feels like they are trying to do then each season is an act.
Act 1 - Find the Waterchip/Overseer/Your Dad/The guy who shot you/invaded your vailt/killed your community
Act 2 - Organize the Strip/Project Purity/Rally the Commonwealth
Act 3 - Organize the Wasteland/Lose Project Purity/Ally or Aggress the Institute
Act 4 - Battle of Hoover Dam/Regain Project Purity/War for the Commonwealth
Act 5 - Postgame
Using this, I will now predict the spoiler-free 5 year arc for the three main characters.
Lucy - Searches for her History - Will chase her History - Combats her History - Will defeat her history - Will learn her history expands even beyond herself
Maximus - Becomes a Knight - Must grapple with being a Knight - Will lose faith in his Knighthood - Will redeem himself as a true Knight - Will understand what it is to be a proper Knight.
Ghoul - [Spoiler] - [Spoiler] - [Spoiler] - [Spoiler] - [Spoiler]
Walter Goggins is KILLING IT with these prime shows! He’s amazing as Cecil and the ghoul was the hardest and coolest dude I’ve seen this YEAR!
it’s gonna be crazy to see him turn feral in season 2
I love that he is The Ghoul.
if you've ever seen fallout:nuka break we all know charismatic ghouls are amazing

The whole first season, I was ready for Lucy and The Ghoul to be friends of sorts.
[SPOILER:]
I'm so happy they'll be companions in the next season.
Capitalised The Ghoul
I'm very happy they went with an original story, they nailed it so well, goes perfect with the universe
I agree!. It's probably the best way to do a story in a new medium that already has a large universe.
Walton Goggins is great, seems like a very fun guy to hangout with
Everything about this show is great! Ready for season 2!
genuinely enjoy how much walton goggins is getting his flowers as an actor and the chemistry with the cast is great
I think what they meant with the question "Is Wasteland in the Fallout Universe?" is if the Game "WASTELAND" (the not only spiritual predecessor to the Fallout games) is actually playing in the Fallout universe... To which I have to say: Sadly not. Storyline is completely different, setting is completely different and the nuclear war that ended civilisation as we know it took place in 1998. And for the record: GET THEM A SECOND SEASON AMAZON! THEY ARE BRILLIANT AND WE NEED MORE!
I agree this is what the question meant.
Yeah for sure haha
I was looking for this answer. 100% correct assessment.
I read somewhere that Fallout DID start as a Wasteland game, but they ended up doing their own thing. Similar to how Warcraft/Starcraft were supposed to be Warhammer games originally.
The second season was confirmed before the first released
“We’re actors not the writers” based on how good they are at the roles and how much it seems they like it, I would’ve thought they were fans of the games
Thank you for everyone involved in the making of this show, though I've only ever played NV, I love it to death, and now I love the show too! The actors and the creators seem to respect the source material (or at least try their best to), which is rare in adaptations nowadays. Creating a whole new story over the already iconic setting is such a great choice, and may I say, genius. Thanks Wired for bringing the main actors in a room together, they seem to have great chemistry. A good sign for the coming seasons.
“It’s hard out here for a ghoul.” NEEDS to be the tagline for next season.
