      Unfortunately Blacksheep has moved on to other pastures 😩 I miss it. I'd be happy to help with any questions you might have though.

    I have a canyon too I got those spacers and my steering wheel wobbles did you notice anything?

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The spacers are very sensitive to being perfectly centric. Try pulling the wheels off again, and pulling the spacers, and re-seating them, making sure to start each lug by hand until they are snug, following a star pattern. Once tight by hand, then torque down with a tool, also following the star pattern

    Are the LED strips the DRL? I mean cause I always thought the Low beam was the DRL n not the LED strip on previous videos I’ve seen on these headlights?

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are aftermarket headlights. The DRLs are the U-shaped beam as well as the low beams. If I flip the headlight switch to just marker lights it turns on the u-bars and the marker light but no low beams, as you see in the rolling shots

    Hey would you think the 20x10 wheels would fit all around on stock suspension?

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, should be fine. I ran the 20x10s -20 up front with no spacers and even though I'm lowered, they just bareeeely tapped the fender liner at one point in mid-turn. Not really an issue at all. Plenty of room in back. 255/55r20s.

    You think I could build this exact same build on a 2005 gmc canyon?

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I would think so...would have to find a lowering kit for it, which I think is out there somewhere. I know they make flares for those, and you could make the skirts like I did. Try it!

    I have a question regarding the front part, is it possible if you can drop it only one inch, without having to mess with the coil overs and springs just leaving it on a stocked shock??

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't really see a way to drop the front at all without replacing the springs. The Belltech kit comes with a lot of shims that allow you to choose your drop up front, max of 3". You may be able to buy just the front end parts directly from them.

  • @lilRambocat
    @lilRambocat 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    What did you use to drop the rear end? I'm thinking about just lowering mine to just level ...

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its a Belltech lowering kit. The rear utilizes the "axle flip" method which is putting the axle on top of the leaf springs instead of under them

    I have a stock suspension Denali. What trimming do you think I would need for 20x12s with -44 offset?

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would think something fairly similar to what I have done here, but maybe you won't need to remove quite as much material.
      Rear end should be fine. Front will likely need trimmed waffle pieces, removed plastic mud guards/trim, trimmed a-pillar pinch weld, and possibly a little bit of sheet metal from the fenders. The low offset really pushes the swing-arc of the tire out, which causes lots of interference issues.

  • @richardvue5055
    @richardvue5055 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    With the truck being lower and low offset wheels with spacer, how is the suspension travel on it? Going over speed bumps/pot holes ect. does the top of tire touch the fender/bedside wheel housing?

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      When I first put the wheels and flares on the rear wheels chewed the hell out of the flares, but rarely made contact with the bed. Once they ate the plastics they "settled out" but would still catch occasionally when I would bottom out.

    Ayo I got a 2017 Colorado.. my only question would be is yours lowered at all? In the thumbnail it looks kinda low but I'm thinking maybe that's just the flares hanging a lil lower towards the wheel.. idk very curious tho and honestly plan to copy you for sure lol cuz this truck is bad ass, the first person I've seen with this style. Most people just lift em and get those metal numbers and a camper shell.. urs is original.

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I really appreciate the kind words! Yes, the truck is lowered with the Belltech 1100SP kit. I have a video on that as well. The flares do visually close the gap slightly further as well

    Was there any issue with backspacing putting a 12 inch wide tire on there? Even the 10? Looking for tires based off stock specs I can't find anything wider than 9.5 recommended. But again, those are those off road wheels you were talking about.

    Bro where did you get your wheels from can’t find any online especially with a 6x120 bolt pattern?? I wanna have my truck look just as cool as your help bro love the way it sits!

    • @BarelyBuiltRight
      @BarelyBuiltRight  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Appreciate the kind words! The wheels proved very challenging for me as well. Almost all the 6x120 options are "off road" style. Not really for street trucks. I ended up ordering mine through an ebay distributor and they custom-drilled them for the bolt pattern and for caliper clearance.

    • @joshjohnson3037
      @joshjohnson3037 ปีที่แล้ว +1
