Love my Braptor. It's the best offroad vehicle ever, but I'm obviously bias. It's sort of a Raptor 37 in SUV form. It has the same suspension and has bigger axles than the Raptor R. But I've had the F150 Raptor and I still like the Braptor better. The F150 is more luxury but the Braptor is still very nice and I love being able to power wash the inside. I have the marine grade vinyl and not the suede.
I’ve been a bronco fan my whole life and biggest adult regret was giving up my first car which was a 96’ black bronco that was built to the hilt. It was on 37.5’s 8” lift, and had 5.8L with a whipple blower. But then oil went to 150 a barrel and couldn’t afford the fuel for the long work commute and I was just out of college. Needless to say, I’m a huge bronco fan. We had an early allocation on a new gen Bronco that I then flipped to a Braptor, which we ended up passing on last year. For us, it just didn’t make sense. It feels small, impractical in that there’s very little payload/tow, and frankly not all that special compared to the Sasquatch broncos I see running around all over the place. Just took delivery of a 24’ Raptor Avalanche white with the 37 package and holy shit, its hands down the best daily driver ever. It looks badass AF, handles incredible, and comfy to where it feels like I’m driving around in a LazyBoy. Plus it has plenty of payload/tow to really have some fun. Which the chassis and powertrain (plenty u can do to the 3.5L, larger turbos, tune, plus E85 easily puts us in R’ power level territory should we have the itch which I don’t ATM) the potential the raptor has as an overlander Baja runner is insane, and it’s gonna be built up during 2025’ to where no Braptor out there will be able to touch it short of rock crawl type trails where the short wheelbase will have an advantage. Maybe a hot take, but had ford gone the full size route like the 78-96 broncos, we’d have a better modern day Bronco. F150 Raptor FTW
FYI, he said he likes the looks of the F150 Raptor from the side with the 37's on it. What you have there is a base F150 Raptor. Those are 35's. This comparison would have been much better if you would have optioned the F150 Raptor with the 37pkg. Not only would they both have equal "footing", but they would have been the same in price. Also, the 37pkg outfits the F150 Raptor with the Modular bumper, which looks incredible and more aggressive than the stamped base bumper.
Unfortunately the dealer only had 8 base raptors in stock no Raptor 37s. We are aware they are the 35s that was stated in the video, thanks for watching!
Great video guys. I had a choice to make in 2023 Raptor 150, Bronco Raptor or F150 Tremor. I went with the Tremor, put 35s on it, a tune and saved a ton of money and still looks awesome. My 0-60 with a tune 4.9, good clearance rock climbing etc. Yes I would get smoked in the high speed deseert but not many of those in the Ozark! JMO!
Nice video! I think which one you choose should depend on what you intend on doing with it. If you only want to do fast desert running, then F-150 is the top pick, the longer wheelbase will provide more stability there. If you want to do rock crawling, 4x4 trails in Moab or Colorado, and still hit the desert, then the Bronco is the top pick. The longer wheelbase is detrimental in those twisty, tight Colorado trails, also the break-over angle is going to be an issue when rock crawling. The F-150 Raptor is not a good rock crawler, I’d take the base Bronco over it if it’s just for rock crawling. If you are gonna use the F-150 for pit duty in desert racing, then that’s a good choice, you can put spares and gas drums in the bed, the Bronco won’t be of much help in that way. At the Baja 1000 you mostly see F-150 raptors (and of course F-250 super duty with even more stuff) doing pit support. They are also the top pick for being modified into pre-runners. So like I said, it all depends on what you want to do with it
Great explication and excellent points!! Both are truly amazing machines!! I’d love to go experience either one of these out in the dunes! Hopefully at some point we have the opportunity to!
Regardless of what Raptor you pick, Ford has demonstrated that any of the 3 is more than capable of finishing and being competitive at the Baja 1000, in stock form even! They only did the safety mods, like roll cage, and fuel cell, so if anything the power-to-weight ratio was worse than the dealership version of the trucks, and still all 3 were competitive against similar classes. Props to Ford for building such capable trucks
@@PerformanceOnWheelsyeah! Overall I think you had the right pick because the Bronco Raptor can do the desert running and it is still pretty good for rock crawling

Love the ozarks!! Thanks for checking us out.
Which Raptor would you select on a highway trip from Michigan to Florida in January?
Any road trip I’d pick the f-150 it’s significantly more comfortable
Neither. The ranger raptor wins. 57k....or over 100k. Hmmm lemme think. A lot you can do to mod a ranger with 43 thousand spare dollars.
You are very right
Nice video!

Ford needs to increase horsepower on the ecoboost Raptor to compete on the acceleration department with the Dodge 1500 RHO.
True
Oh it’s coming soon from ford performance…
👍👍👍😍
I think is because the pick up has a supercharged v8 700+ HP trim 😂 that's why that bronco is more expensive at the starting price. Lol
F150 Raptor is more comfortable and the Braptor is more capable
Exactly
You could get a used low mileage bronco raptor for like 65k
In the video the silver Bronco Raptor is a used 8k mile example for 80 grand.
Where’s the ranger raptor :(
Have not been able to get ahold of one yet! Definitely want to.
There’s only one Raptor.
Which one…? Because there’s 3
There are 3 actually.
@@PerformanceOnWheels let me rephrase…there’s only one REAL Raptor. And that’s the F-150. But I’m also biased.
@@Mittens1234 I have a Braptor and feel the same. I used to have the F150 too. They should have left the Braptor to be the Warthog.
