*Whew*😮💨 BEAUTIFULLY done! 👍🏼 I told my wife my next truck is a Tundra (currently have an ‘08 Tacoma DCLB 4x4) but she’s not a fan of how they look. I agree with you in what you said about them in the beginning, and doing what you did to yours is simple, not over the top, makes it look and feel modern, and it’s makes it look so good. Great job man.👍🏼🤙🏼
@ hey quick question, I bought the same headlights as you and harness but my turn orange lights come on when the running lights are on. Is there anyway to just have the drl on by their self?
@@clayh5546 I haven't done it yet, but there are two ways - cut a grey wire under the dash (a little sketch but the forums say it works). Second is a plug-in module - OEM part # 81980-0C020
@@AJLoDato22 thanks for the help, I’ll probably just leave it alone they work fine. Was just curious because every tundra I seen just had drl w/ amber turn signals
Love the build and i have the same head unit and love it. just a little tip if the screen goes black you will need a update and can talk to the manufacture to send you the file and just load it on a usb . if you want short term fix or in a pinch just disconnect the battery really quickly and your set
Great looking truck! 👍👌 But... I put an aftermarket intake on my 5.7 Sequoia and it dropped MPGs. Went back to stock and the MPGs came back... just saying. Cheers ~
Man, where did you get those great prices on some of that stuff. Steps, grille, sub, intake. I feel like all of those should have been a couple hundred more
It’s still great - no new quirks from my second review video on the head unit. 1000% better than stock, and worth it. Biggest peeve is the internal mic being trash and having to talk on speakerphone while driving.
Thanks for the reply. I love the truck, I’m trying to stick with OE styling as well. The sound is just lacking and I wouldn’t mind the upgraded screen size. Just struggling to pull the trigger. I like the stock head unit look. If the mic is an issue, you should look at a wired mic and running in to the factory location. Trail Grid Pro sells a mic mount.
@ the kit came with a wired mic, but was trash. I couldn’t find an aftermarket mic that fits the connector as it’s pretty unique. Aside from that, it looks and functions far better than OEM in my opinion!
Thank you!! I’m still a major fan of the sub, it sounds awesome and is just enough bass. I screwed it down under the seat but it really only secured into the carpet.
I had a custom box made for my tundra with a 12 inch sub. they removed the back seats and installed the box against the back tossed on sound tape installed the seats. sounds great
Do the headlights still adjust with the roller on the left side of the steering wheel because that to me is the only reason I cant upgrade adjusting headlights while towing and such is what all trucks should have and for some reason only the tundra has it.
@ but now you don’t need to! Upside is these trucks will run 300,000 no problems so good investment. I’m at 204,000 in my 2011 and plan to run it till I can’t
You’re leaving me no excuses BUT to do this to my 2017. Great looking truck
Do it!! I somehow convinced my wife these upgrades were necessities to get the truck to look right, lol.
I love the difference all the mods made. OEM+ for the win!
Thank you!!
Very clean and timeless in today’s world of over-the-top overland builds
Looks amazing. I like when people go the OEM route, and not the aftermarket route. Great job!
Dude that truck is perfect!! Exactly what I want to do to my 13, but I don’t think I will have as many bumper and grill options.
I’ve always wanted to build an early 2nd gen. Definitely not the same options as mine, but there are some good ones!
Subscribed just because of the bio alone. All the descriptions and links ready to go. Great job dude great video and truck!!
I really appreciate that! I have been trying hard to make my videos/bios clear and concise.

I’m glad the series helped! I’m always a fan of OEM+ builds - simple but substantially better. Cheers to your future Tundra!
Great Build, Long Live The 2nd Gen Tundra!
Amen!!!
That is great. And keeping the factory look. I be doing something same if I own a tundra. Most definitely the radio upgrade.
Well looks like I’m ordering bumper shells now 😂, nice truck love the way it turned out
Thank you!! I’d definitely order through Ecoological- their quality is unmatched.

I have actually had to do both myself as well. Since the update, it has been issue free! Cheers to our tundra builds 🍻
Incredible build! looks great!
Really appreciate it!
1100 for that bed cover is insane behavior 😂
lol I don’t disagree. I have become super brand loyal to BAK Industries, so I’m willing to pay the premium
Wow this is so sick!!
Clean AF
🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful truck. I have a 2015 with 2” blocks to level it out with the back and running 275/65/20 Toyo Open Country RT Trails with those exact wheels.
That sounds perfect - probably looks great!
Phenomenal work...✨😎💯🤙
Looks great 👍🏻
Great looking truck! 👍👌

That’s interesting, because mine was the opposite. Ironically I put mine back to stock this week (prepping to sell), and I dropped ~1MPG.
Broooo Insane 🙌
Thank you!! I’m really happy with it myself!
You are living the dream...
I sure do love what I do on TH-cam. Glad you enjoy!
Thoughts on blacking out door pulls too? Nice job, definitely improvement
Thanks! I considered it, but wanted something to tie into the aluminum wheels.
One video does what others have to do for months😮
Looks so good
Great looking truck! What's the mpg on 285's?
Max max is 15, lol. Typically around 14.5.
Man, where did you get those great prices on some of that stuff. Steps, grille, sub, intake. I feel like all of those should have been a couple hundred more
I tried really hard to make it a budget build. Most of that stuff is still the same price I listed. So far no issues with any of their quality, too.
How’s that head unit doing now that you have had it for some time? Still worth it over the factory head unit?
It’s still great - no new quirks from my second review video on the head unit. 1000% better than stock, and worth it. Biggest peeve is the internal mic being trash and having to talk on speakerphone while driving.

Well I’m gonna order the newer version of head unit you have. If I find a mic that is better, I’ll let ya know.
@ that would be awesome. I’d love to spread the word on a better mic!
Love it!
Badass tundra 🔥 how many miles are on it?
Thanks!! 112,000 and still reliable as ever!
Badass
What were they thinking with all that chrome. Looks way better now
I couldn’t agree more 😂
Can you tell me how the subwoofer difference it makes also is it attached in anyway under the rear seat?
Nice build!!!
Thank you!! I’m still a major fan of the sub, it sounds awesome and is just enough bass. I screwed it down under the seat but it really only secured into the carpet.

What website did you get the color match grill and surrounding
I got it all from eBay. I’d check out my install video specific for it to help make sure it all works out
Thats kinda what im gonna do with my 23 Nissan Titan Pro-4x!!
Did you install the wheel spacers for stance or for tire clearance?
Solely for looks/stance.
De-Badge it!
Do the headlights still adjust with the roller on the left side of the steering wheel because that to me is the only reason I cant upgrade adjusting headlights while towing and such is what all trucks should have and for some reason only the tundra has it.
Yup these new ones have small motors in them as well to adjust on the fly. It was essential for me when towing too. Love the feature from Toyota!
Awesome build! New sub!
What leveling kit/suspension was done to this truck?
Appreciate it! This is just 2” strut blocks as a leveling kit.
@ only in the front correct?
@ yup just the front
Sooo much better
Where did you buy the new grill?
I got it off of eBay. In the grille video, you’ll see I put the sellers eBay page in the description, as well as the emblems part #.
Looks great. Prob coulda saved some time and money buying a 2018 platinum tho lol😂
I thought that as I made my way through this build 😂
@ but now you don’t need to! Upside is these trucks will run 300,000 no problems so good investment. I’m at 204,000 in my 2011 and plan to run it till I can’t
Is there a leveling kit on the truck?
Yup it’s a 2” leveling kit
@@AJLoDato22is it just a spacer level?
@@DMoney1017 Yup just a strut spacer.
Is there a level on it ?
Yup it’s a 2” strut spacer
next are the tail lights !
I couldn’t find any aftermarket ones I loved, so for now just stock!
Whats the name of the song in the first haft of the video?
It is ‘Malibu’ by Jimit found on Artist.io
@AJLoDato22 ok thanks
What stereo head unit did you use?
Sorry, just noticed the brand. Are you happy with it?
It’s a Dasaita, install video in the description. It’s a little glitchy but overall way way better than stock.
damn! thats a huge difference! looks 10 times better. especially being a white boy and having all that chrome hahaha i woulda done the same thing
Not sure how it’s a OEM+ build.. OEM+ would be considered using OEM upgraded parts of a different year.
Did you watch the video? That’s almost precisely what I did.
So my offer: I buy this one from you, and I give you my Gen 1 and there's your next video series. Deal?
That’s honestly a good idea (if I didn’t just lock in my next build)
The newer one is a better truck probably more high tech but it looks less tough
That will be my next build, so we shall see!
My Tacoma has 6 lugs….
First time I noticed that too. There’s a bunch of forums on it. The Sequoia and Tundra switched to 5 a while back.
@ clean truck man, just figured I’d beat all the nerds in the comment, I’ve out grown my Tacoma and need a tundra!
@@w.r.3463 lol! The Tacoma platform is bomb, but I think you'll love the size difference going to a Tundra.
All that effort and stil not capable of SHTF
