    This guy is taking every hour long video from others on each topic and condensing it all to something sweet and simple in under 20 minutes. Love it, need more of this man.

    He simplifies it down to its essence and I appreciate that so much. I’ve seen many “Beginners guides to music production” and “gear for beginner music producers” and this one was the most in depth and so so easy to understand for someone literally JUST getting into music production. This was super helpful Tysm!

    Another good tip is to look at 2nd hand gear. I got 2 midi keyboards an Apc40mk & an audio interface. All together cost less than my larger midi controller cost when it was new. & they were all like new with cables. eBay people 😂. I got a mint set of Yamaha hs5 Monitors for less than £200 as well.

    Getting a sponsor also means things like accommodation, your upkeep, and feeding is already sorted out for you.
    If you are doing everything yourself, there are certain risks you cannot take, you will be under pressure for your one song to be a hit, you will struggle, and despite all of that, you still may not succeed.
    For further detailed information on how to get yourself into the limelight as growing artists kindly comment if you are interested

    This is really helpful. I am curious what other introductory things you could or may have already made a video on. This is great for a setup. I am still having issues figuring things out. So far, GarageBand is what I’m working with on my tiny iPhone SE 2022. I’m getting an HDMI/USB/Aux port soon for a bigger screen and headphones. I already have my USB port but that’s all I can hook up for now. I am using my new Akai MPK Mini and it’s cool but I have a lot to explore before I can do anything. I don’t know GarageBand well at all or how to load custom sounds or use effects or anything. I will though. I will learn one way or another without going to college for this stuff.

    Screw computer audio bulshit and so on..People should be rewarded about wanting to do something that youre into. Theres no person who just starts that should go buy every of this stuff. Most avrage pc can handle music production programs. I think a very beginner guide should be focused on how to have fun and make simple music on a basic level. And what programs are good at doing just that. Its pointless to just buy bunch of stuff and then to just throw your money away for something you dont understand. Making music for beginners should be fun and easy. Its not as if you gonna buy all these stuff and suddenly become a pro. You´re just overly complicating things.

    • @sonicacademy
      @sonicacademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Nobody is claiming buying a computer will make you a pro. It’s advising what sort of computer you will need when starting out, and will maybe last you a few years if you enjoy making music. We all start making music as we are interested in it and it looks like fun, not sure anyone starts making music cause they think it’s boring and a chore. This is a guide to what you will need to start, and then, we have courses to show you how to make music on a very basic level in your chosen DAW.

    • @rafsanrahi2469
      @rafsanrahi2469 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He’s not complicating things at all. He said everything straight to the point in the most simple way. Me doing music production for years and having used it all, I can attest to the fact that he broke down everything accurately. Having a proper ecosystem means a better music production environment which translates to music being created…which is the end goal, no? You are definitely a beginner because if you had experience you wouldn’t have made that comment.
      My current setup is an iPad Pro M1 with a DAC amp, IEM, and Stylus. I have an MPC One that I sometimes connect to it and a midi keyboard with headphones and studio monitors. Having the right equipments make a big difference in how productive you are.

    Get a gaming computer like me... Two years old, i9 +5Ghz CPU, 4TB Nvme SSD, 128GB RAM. An equivalent Mac Pro would cost at least $10K. That's why you see people still using old @$$ 10 year old Macs when technology moved on years ago. They can't afford to buy a new one every couple of years 🤣
