I actually agree with you on most of your review of the Red album 2023. However, Day Tripper/We can work it out is perfectly balanced with the drums now so you may want to listen from a different streaming and/or equipment.
My problem with most reissues is that they don't stick to the final takes, which were ultimately the ones the Beatles decided on in the studio. So not only are the mixes different, but the music itself is too. I think these new mixes sound heavily compressed too, almost like there's a limiter with a really sharp attack. It's really evident in tracks like I Saw Her Standing There and Twist And Shout. I do like the new stereo positioning, but I also quite liked the original stereo versions with the huge separation between the vocals and instruments. I'm getting a bit sick of Beatles re-releases time and time again. I'd rather they simply waited until there were technological advances (like AI) and simply re-issued the albums as new mixes, but leave the music alone, and leave the tracks and sequences of the albums alone too, even the compilations.
Some of your review is wild man. I want to hold your hand is a revelation. It’s by far the best version of this song stereo or mono we have. That being said She loves you the mix is great, but the sound quality is awful. The 1 compilation sounds a lot more open regardless of the mix. I guess to each his own. My only issue is in general Giles needed to go further with those d mixes. Walrus was criminal and more like a Love remix. Old brown shoe lacks guitar feeder at the 30 second mark. The songs off Rubber Soul are great. I do agree with you that the best version of I saw her standing there is in mono. I need to keep watching your review.
Cool video! The song that I am most interested in listening to after watching your video is I am a Walrus.
Oldies but Goldies
Good point about PLEASE PLEASE ME and why it is in mono/should be in mono.
‘We Can Work It Out’ and ‘Day Tripper’ on Spotify have vocals centred. Sounds like Apple Music might have the older versions linked in error.

Day Tripper/ WCWIO itsnt as yet balanced properly on Apple Music.
@@MarkPMusBizarre, maybe it’s a different version. The streaming platforms are mixing up the versions at times 🤷🏻♂️. The new version is balanced.
If I knew how to get in touch with Apple Music I would tell them.

Had Lennon lived he probably would have finished Real love, Free as a bird, and Now & then. But who knows…..
And they’d have been Lennon songs., widely considered as not up there with his finest, I’d imagine. I don’t like FAAB, but Real Love is OK.
@@MarkPMus I love em all. To each his own…
I am the walrus really ruins the blue for me
If I needed someone 😮 didn't like that song
