I feel so bad for the older guy who now looks like the smiling dream guy. It makes me genuinely scared looking at his face I can only imagine how his family and himself feel it’s really upsetting
Looking at his face makes me feel really eerie and uncomfortable, it makes me feel bad because its still a guy with feelings who got a botched surgery.
@@loopooillohg Youre right but he posted a video of how he does it. He essentially stretches the skin back. Not sure if he uses Botox or something but stretching the skin back can cause stress to the skin. It will probably stay that way
Personally, I think aging is beautiful. People complain about smile lines, and crows feet.. but in my eyes those smile lines means you lived happily. You expressed yourself in so many ways!
You do you boo, you don’t need to do take care of your skin if you don’t want to but for others out there, prevent it before it starts! Stay out of the sun, always use SPF, Botox as soon as you start to see fine lines, healthy eating, exercise, collagen, vitamins. Take care of yourself and you’ll prevent risky things like this
Aging is not beautiful. It is horrible. I'm not trying to be mean, but what you are saying is just a cope. I hate aging. However, I would still rather age gracefully than do plastic surgery.

14:52 For the leg procedure, I watched an official documentary (arte) about it. The documentary was talking about plastic surgery in China and precisely those leg procedures. Doctors cut the muscles in the leg (calf, don't remember the exact muscle), few weeks after those muscles gonna "shrink" and become really thin, they are at high risk of losing the functionalities of their legs. There are many cases, where young Chinese girls were not aware of that (the surgeons didn't list the risk), now most of them can barely walk like before, and many complications like constant pain and others. It's really sad, people have healthy bodies but beauty trends mess up body and mind. I'm Asian, when I was in middle school I wanted to have plastic surgery to become pretty like people in the media. Now I accepted who I am and I'm also grateful to be healthy. You know it's better to lose a little bit of weight or gain muscles. Also, basic skin/hair care helps a lot. Choose also the right clothes, no need to buy a ton of them. Just choose wisely a piece of clothing that suits your body and can be matched with another type of clothes. I hope some young people gonna read my comment. I want to add that beauty perception is messed up with social media (filter, heavy makeup, light, angle). You know when you get to know someone, the first impression is not gonna be "Wow he/she is so handsome/pretty)" especially when he/she is average. But the more you know the person and spend time with them, the more beauty and charm gonna grow. You'll see others and yourself so beautifully and uniquely. Some unique features make the character very strong like you'll never forget them. I hope you understand, learn yourself a bit more, and spend time with people. You're gonna see everything in a better view.

Also @Starfishluver you are right about younger pictures, unique features are a part of ourself and make the character even stronger and unforgettable .
Just a Chinese language note: him calling patients "brother" or "sister" is probably a direct translation from Chinese where referring to unrelated people as "brother" or "sister" is a way to show respect/endearment. It's not some manipulation tactic to make people "trust him", it's just a linguistic difference.
Black Americans also refer to each other as brother or sister. As in (Black American talking) "There's a white guy and a "brother" sitting down." The "brother" refers to a Black man.
@@poisonedh How is that disrespectful lol? A lot of languages have the same sort of thing, even English. When some calls you "bro" or "sis", they don't mean you're literally their brother or sister.
this reminds me of when Stephanie Soo talked about 'ghost doctors' in Korea where a plastic surgery clinic would have a main doctor/ celebrity doctor on social media that is essentially the face of the clinic that you can book an interview with. these interviews are usually expensive because youre meeting with the celebrity plastic surgeon. the celebrity surgeon then takes you to the operating room and as soon as youre under anaesthesia a different (usually amateur) doctor walks in and does the surgery. then you wake up, none the wiser. she explained it better than i did but im just wondering if 'ghost doctors' are a thing in China and if this is a case of that..
The man in the beginning looked so friendly and sweet. How are people allowed to do this to others I’ll never understand. Moreover, who the hell told them they needed the surgery😕
You are very kind human. Everyone is commenting these poor people, they're all over the internet and it's very heartbreaking and here you are shifting the focus to the real problem, these "surgeons".
Imagine flying to a new country, getting your face permanently altered, and then not being able to return home because your face no longer matches your passport or any other form of photo I.D.

I’ve worked in facial plastics for years. Clients look very swollen and like they’ve gone through a wind tunnel after surgery. It takes awhile for the face to “relax”. I’d love to see the incision lines and what they look like 4-6 weeks later.
Dr. Kim isn't a surgeon, he's a butcher. His victims remind me of what The Joker did to people in Gotham or that one Korean drama/horror movie that had people getting facial surgery when they came of age but the lead character wasn't encouraged to do it so she went to an underground surgeon and it turned out horribly. My heart goes out to every single one of his victims. And this is why my doctors tell me more to avoid any physician who is on social media, especially TikTok.
i've noticed that in some asian languages, people will refer to someone else as brother or sister as a term of endearment/in place of boy or girl. i went to a hot pot restaurant with a sign in the unisex restroom that said something like "if today is your time of the month and you need help, ask the little sister at the front desk." it just meant the young woman working the entrance.
yea i came here to say just this! in many asian cultures and languages, honorifics are extremely important. i always have had to call people older than me by older sister/brother or auntie/uncle (in my language ofc). im pretty sure the captions came from a translator and didn’t take that aspect of language differences into account
If you think about it, It's like waking up from a really bad dream but its just reality what makes it even worse. If you think stubbing your toe is bad, think twice.
just a small note, but they aren’t using terms like “brother” and “sister” to bait people into trusting them, lol, they’re just terms used to address people in both china and korea (alongside many other countries), even if they aren’t your actual siblings. thought i’d put that out there.
It’s actually good that they show the pictures before they fully healed because people who don’t take surgery seriously need to see how painful it looks
I have so much respect for your take on self acceptance/appreciation . You have excellent moral grounding for your age as well as wisdom . Just wanted to share with you some positivity , well researched video and your message within it is really mature 🩶
A friend of mine got her nose done and at first it looked so... weird. After it healed it looked so much better, so I really hope a lot of these people are just still super puffy and that when they heal they'll look a bit better. That's why on some plastic surgeon's websites they post an after, and then a like 6 weeks after kind of thing.
it absolutely is lol, like after only a week of healing?? of course it looks scary, they’re going to look monstrous for like a month, that’s very typical plastic surgery recovery! in a year honestly they’ll probably look very normal
As a 40yo person, I can certainly understand why aging individuals consider facial reconstruction surgery. Our faces definitely change as we age and this can be a very challenging and confronting experience. The fact is, we will all age and change physically and in all ways. Acceptance may ultimately be the most Beneficial solution ❤
@@hauntedtoof This looks scary. Normalising this shit will ruin everyone's mental health and physical health. This should not be normalised. End of story.
I’m 51 years old,. No matter how old I get, I would never get a facelift, especially if it’s a “discount” surgery. Getting older is actually a privilege, but social media has convinced us anyone 30 years old or older is “old” and needs to do something about it.
Hello, fellow middle-aged tuv viewer. Good for you. Is it just me or are you occasionally overtaken by the urge to call tuv a 'very thoughtful young man'?
Exactly, aging is a natural thing and shouldnt be something you are ashamed of. I hope more people can realize this and acknowledge that getting old is a part of life that you should accept.
I actually really respect and appreciate that you're one of the few darker content channels that actually DOES investigate and put in the work. So many of these channels claim to have conducted "investigations", when all they've really done is read some tiktok comments and maybe skimmed through a wikipedia article. Their videos are as close to investigations as buzzfeed listicles are to journalism. ((I also really appreciate the empathetic and mature way you spoke about the people who have actually had these surgeries, rather than just clowning on them for how they look, or calling them stupid.))
by the way, dr kim isnt trying to "lie" about his patients being his siblings, its simply just a mistranslation. in korean, we often use the term oppa, or hyung (brother) or unnie and noona which means sister. its just the language barrier lol
Yeah but in Korean we also don't refer to random people by oppa hyung or w/e unless it's trying to be cute. However it seems really common to refer to others as brother/ sister in Chinese and since their main doctor is chinese that's probably why they say it a lot.
Hey, so while there is plenty to be said about the oddity of this and the weird formats of the tiktoks,I need to point out something. A large majority of those "uncanny" surgery results are from very early in recovery. Facial surgery takes long time to recover from fully. Sometimes 6 months to a year for the swelling to go down entirely. Early on the results are going to look uncanny and odd as your body is still healing. There is much to be said about the necessity of these surgeries, I really feel like this is a big point to point out.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking. The internet really shit on that one older pepper haired fella and I felt so bad. I think he was just swollen tbh like do they not know the skin isn’t that tight for even like a month before it settles back down
If Dr.Youn who is a plastic surgeon, says that these face-lifts are extreme, I am inclined to believe him as he not only has had his own practice for several years, has a medical degree, he also has strong moral values. When another plastic surgeon feels uneasy about the methodology of another practitioner, that speaks volumes. Yeah it takes awhile to heal. But in case you missed the frame near the end, these "surgeons" are not just tightening the skin. They are carving bone as well. This is extreme. How you people are defending this I have no genuine idea. But there is always someone who takes the wrong side, no matter the point.
the kind of yellowness is so characteristic this is what i was thinking, i feel bad they’re getting made fun of and called monsters when they’re like barely healed from a super invasive surgery 😭 like i just hope their results settle well and they’re happy with themselves
It’s actually normal for a deep plane facelift to look that swollen/“uncanny” after a week but i cant wrap my head around why they’d share a week post op and not 3-6 months post op 😭
Facelifts, and this goes for most cosmetic procedures, work better younger (30’s & 40’s) faster healing, less invasive, more skin elasticity. A ponytail facelift (think bella hadid) done in their 20’s will help her age more “gracefully” and also will have a wayyyy easier recovery since there’s not a lot getting pulled back whereas if someone waits until they’re 60 for a deep plane facelift, it’s gonna be a more painful, more swollen, longer recovery.
I googled 1 week post op results and they’re def puffy and bruised but these people look like completely different people. Normally face lifts seem to make people look maybe 10 years younger at most, these people look like weird distorted 20 year olds.
They're taking pictures before these patients go home, often to another country. It's hard to get a hold of people once they leave and start enjoying or hating their new face... It highlights the fact that they aren't doing full post-op follow up to keep prices down.
@@Fffffferal There is probably an easier recovery for younger people, but facelifts don't prevent skin from aging, so I don't think there is any evidence that it will help younger people "age gracefully." They will just have to keep getting more surgeries if they want the same results.
The worst part is that theres no post op photos that aren't almost immediately after surgery. After digging around for hours I still didn't find anything
This is so scary. Imagine going to their clinic assuming you are going to get a facelift to your standards but in the end you get one that makes you look like… well that. Its honestly just really sad and i feel bad for the people they are using as like “prototypes” and promotion. Thanks so much tuv for bringing awareness and looking into this!❤️
it just sucks that we as a society see aging as a bad thing.. unfortunately, i don't think it'll ever resolve. (edit: not saying that's a bad thing! but i feel like there's an issue with people in general just having an obsession with it. it's okay to want to look youthful!!)
Where I live it’s the older generations (Gen X and older) and the rich who have a problem with aging. We, millennials don’t have a problem with aging. We own it.
@CaptainRosi i mean, cant say for millenials specifically but its definitely not just the older generations- a lot of anti aging tiktok is young people who want to look young forever, like i once saw a 14 year old girl with a whole anti aging facial routine there lmao its pretty bizarre
@@CaptainRosinah, a lot of millennials are still young to even think about it. A lot of older millennials I know would fight tooth and nail just to find a cure for their receding hairline. Plus millennials are the ones who really popularize skincare which is nothing wrong with that but saying you guys own it is a lie.
I get extremely sad looking at the first man.. it genuinely breaks my heart because he looks like such a kind man, just probably insecure.. he had such a kind looking face. I cried when I saw him..
Same, I remember seeing that video a couple days ago and I was actually so horrified. He seems so kind but he looked regretful in the after video. Let's just hope the results looked better after a longer time
I want to cry. I hope he’s okay mentally. He looked really excited before the surgery. I wanna give him a hug. His soul is still trapped behind those eyes :(
About the "my sister" thing, it's not about him wanting people to trust him more. He's Chinese, and terms like "brother" or "sister" are commonly used to talk about people who are not necessarily related to you. Either way, I feel so sorry for his patients. The results are horrid and I wish his license was just revoked at this point. Also, it's interesting that he's most likely Chinese, but he is using a Korean last name. As we all know, SK has been catching up to Brazil as the capital of plastic surgery, and he might try to capitalize on that by using a Korean name.
That is so true! I recently made friends from China and they were referring to each other as sister or brother. "In the game, he teamed up with 4 younger sisters and won". Something like that. They even referred to me as sister or jiě jie. In my country (SE Asia) we also use the term 'adoptive brother or sister' in our language as a term of endearment. Most likely he used a translator for the captions, isnt xiǎo a common way to call someone younger and yeah it means little. I don't know Mandarin enough to explain
Yeah i was going to comment this. I speak Korean and studied Chinese for 8 years which both its more common to address others with these terms. For Korean it much less common to refer to strangers as such but you can tell its less about 'tricking people into being more trusting with family terms' and more so just a better reflection on how we address people. It can even come off as more rude to use other terms and language, and while I think using these close proximity terms is trying to pass an emotion off in some way it's not like in English where saying someone is 'related' is weird or uncommon. Even more if they are using a translator or very limited language.
The “brother sister” thing isn’t a manipulation tool, that’s just a cultural thing a LOT of cultures do that translates odd to americans. We refer to everyone in our generation at sis/bro the generation above as aunt/uncle and the gen above that as gma/gpa. And the “they look like a little girl” part, that’s literally every cosmetic surgury caption from every nation and language. To us that sounds weird(it is weird) but the weird things we say, we just don’t find as weird
It looks like hes ignoring the comments that correct him on it too, pinning and liking other comments while ignoring the comments about how he just didnt understand something and made up a motive for it to be malicious
As someone who works in plastic surgery, their results actually look very well done. The photos you are referring to as looking “botched or scary” are immediately after, it can 3-6 months for a patient’s face to look normal after a face lift and with all plastic surgeries, the swelling could take a year to go down. Nobody looks good immediately after, it’s good for the potential patients to see how they will look the first month or so and i am sure if they were to include photos from 3 months later, the patient would look incredible.
I just went through the page myself and found one vid from 9/7/23 and there's 30 day results and by god the results are crazy. You can tell its the same woman from the moles on her neck and face, but can't deny the results were great even if she didnt need it.
Aren’t these surgeries still too much. My dad(50) got a facelift. He looked refreshed, but completely normal afterwards. The surgeon recommended only minimal surgery because there are risk of patients’ eyelid can’t close properly and other complications.
There's a reason they're not posting "fully-healed" results. I mean, some of those peoples are locals which they can easily contact. There *is* one healed result on their page but keep in mind that's 1/93. Perhaps they know it'll get engagement? But then that would be bad marketing because if they're posting odd-looking surgeries, they would be getting bad press which is already happening in real-time. Some people say that they'll look just fine after being fully healed but if that's the case, then why would a professional plastic surgeon, Dr. Youn, clearly not agree with how they look right after surgery? Out of all people, you'd think he knows best about all stages.
Honestly I think there's a couple of reasons. First, like the man from Spain, some patients come from all over the world, so it makes no sense for them to fly back just for after-pictures. Secondly, he probably tells the patients that it's normal how they look right now, and it'll look better after a while. But as time goes on, nothing really changes and they realize that the surgery is botched. They hate their new look and wouldn't agree to show their face on camera.
it looks like their faces were literally chopped in half and sewn back together, jesus christ it looks so bad. i can’t even imagine what’s going through their loved ones’ minds when they return home and reveal their new faces for the first time. they look unrecognizable.
@@girlofthealpines ive seen results that look worse than that and still come out looking good, i dont really care what other "surgeons" on tiktok think
Unfortunately many plastic surgeons use that "manipulation" tactic you where speaking about. They name all of these facial imperfections in the name of symmetry and signs of aging to make you feel as if you NEED the surgery. Once upon a time I went for a consultation to get lip filler. That's it. Next thing you know the Doctor starts commenting on my jawline, undereyes, and cheeks and how they could all use filler to make me more symmetrical. Ive heard of many women experiencing this as well when they have a consultation. I like my face shape, but that appointment left me feeling very insecure.
gosh that sounds afwul,, I hope you were able to move on from that. its so unfortunate that stuff like that happens; I have mixed opinions about plastic surgery in general but I think they use of that tactic is so unnecessary, not to mention ethically dubious at best. I can't think of any reason other than greed for them to be motivated to do it.
Went for a surgery on my jaw, wanted to fix my crooked nose too. Was talked out of it by my surgeon. Good surgeons do exist. It depends on the mental health of the patient as well as the ethics of the doctor.
Plastic surgery feeds off of peoples insecurities, it quite literally makes money off of them so it is a totally gross industry. When it is used for reconstructive surgeries on those who have been left disfigured thats different, but telling people things are 'wrong' with them and they need 'fixing' is disgusting. Thats why I will never support or endorse plastic surgery, if your looks consume your life you don't need surgery, you need a therapist and some self love.
I recently had a complicated hip surgery (just got back home on Friday), but before I got it, I got three opinions. I don’t know for sure that these people didn’t get second or third opinions, but I would guess they didn’t. For anyone getting a surgery soon, PLEASE get additional opinions and ask them to show you testimonies from patients who have had the same or similar procedures. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Even simple surgeries have risk, and it’s important to go over the pros and cons. If your surgeon seems reluctant to answer any of your questions, find someone else.
I'm Chinese, just to clarify something you mentioned about the captions: About the weird " my sister " captions, in Chinese we commonly refer to older women as jiejie (big sister) as a formality, and it's especially used if you're trying to satisfy a client because it kind of means a compliment as well
great video and awesome research! you are a source for another youtuber relating to this topic; I am happy I saved your video for my long commute. The bus ride to work got so much better
It’s china, what do you expect, they do a lot of weird shit 😂 painting pigs black to pass them off as wild pigs, recycling hot pot broth, painting fake grass to make cities look more lush.
how people like celebrities can even get these procedures, is crazy. I can't find a single example if it not looking fake and obvious, it's never looked good.
celebrities and rich people get delicate and gradual changes through plastic surgery. they won't get one severe procedure, rather small changes they explain by new makeup style, pregnancy, skincare, massage and so on
This is a great example of confirmation bias. You just don’t realize they’ve had surgery when it’s done well. Look at any major popstar, chances are they’ve had work done
He never shows the result after a couple months, which facelifts can make you look like an alien for upwards of a year before they completely heal. Most swelling goes down after around 2 weeks to a month, but you can still look odd. I’d imagine after having your face sliced off and stretched, you’d look a bit odd for a while.
Just look up “facelift right after surgery vs after healing”. Some of them right after surgery still don’t look as bad as some of doctor Kim’s, but they still look close, and very uncanny valley.
Eugh... just the stitches on the forehead are enough to make me queasy but the notion of those stitches being the only thing preventing your detatched face from falling off is HORRIFYING. 6:05 Hey Tuv. The reason you might not always get results when reverse searching an image is because they might have gotten it from a social media site, like Twitter, Facebook, etc. The bots that crawl the web looking for an image don't actually search social media sites due to various privacy reasons, and so it's entirely possible he got the image from some random doctor on Facebook, maybe even Linkedin, without it being picked up by the bot.

In reality, having these surgeries will make them age 50 times Akers’s worse than they thought they already were.
I’m sure they have ghost doctors that work with them. Which is totally illegal, but a common practice. They’ll have one plastic surgeon having three facelift going on at the same time but other doctors will come in and work on the patient.
It's sad how people feel the need to have surgeries that don't make them look human to feel better, I'd rather age gracefully with wrinkles everywhere than do this to myself

I was like, "What a nice young man," and I'm 36. It is cool to know that there are younger people with his attitude, but now Gen Alpha is buying anti aging creams at the age of 10, so I am slightly frightened about what the future might hold. 😐
@@androgynylunacy I am trained in skincare and honestly I wish most people picked it up around 10. Not because aging is frightening, but because melanoma is, and forming habits around protecting the body's largest organ early is great! If you're used to lotion, slipping SPF in is much easier! That said, no 10 year old should know the "why" of using skincare. They need to be kids. And those kids need to realize no cream staves off the inevitable later on. May we somehow find a balance.
@@SionSweet true, i had no idea what sunscreen actually was until i was like 14 and even then, barely used it. at 17, i developed squamous cell carcinoma on my chin. 19, finally got it identified with a biopsy and had it removed. my scar isn’t that big but the procedure wasn’t painless and i just wish i took better care of myself throughout my teenage years.
I love the way people look naturally. I really hope my mom never gets plastic surgery. Aging is beautiful and something that so many people do not get to experience.
@@dampsocc no im sure they look much better after a few weeks but its still pretty gut wrenching that people even feel the need to do a procedure like this to themselves because they dont feel comfortable in their own bodies.
Surgeon is actually extremely talented. They look significantly younger and they look like that because it can take up to 6 months for swelling and pain to subside.
Love Dr. Yuon! Hes so genuine :) not afraid to call out bad practice in the industry and seems to care a lot about those who are patients/looking to have plastic surgery.
Man you really did your work, thank you for exposing this! I know people want cheaper surgeries and access to things but this is the kinda results you’d get. I hope the victims of this can recover mentally 😢
He didn’t do his work though because what he failed to mention is that these are the unhealed results, hence why they are swollen and stitched up. The final healed results of the surgery are actually much different and very nice compared to what’s being shown in the video
why would the clinic promote their faces all unhealed and swollen, though? it just kind of doesn't make much sense.. i would imagine the clinic would want to promote the final/healed results rather than the swollen/unhealed results..@@devdasrai
He definitely didn’t do his work, though. He could have had someone translate things. He could have explained that these are not healed results. He could have asked a licensed plastic surgeon to comment on certain aspects, to give a professional opinion.

This reminds me of a similar plastic surgery cult-like squad in my native country. The head of the squad is Emelian Braude, a guy with no degree in surgery who thinks it is okay to work in an unsanitary environment. He has followers that he teaches surgery, not being a certified surgeon himself. The worst part? He got away with it.
Except this surgeon is qualified and he only uses photos of the patients a few days later to show the audience how plastic surgery really is. There is no instant makeover RIGHT after surgery. Most of the time, it'll take weeks or even months to fully heal it. Especially face-lifts. This surgeon in particular just wanted to be more realistic and upfront rather than other surgeons who don't really like to include what surgery is like before being completely healed.
I always feel so much better when tuv says we are good the way we are! I have a lot of anxiety and worry that I need to change that drastically but I am coming to love myself more.
I'm so happy that you're starting to love yourself the way you are. You're great and don't need to be perfect or like all the 'good looking' people. Everyone is good looking in a different way and it really doesn't matter actually. I'm also trying to break the mindset that I need to be a certain way. I wish you luck with loving yourself
My speculation is that they have ghost doctors doing the surgeries. You book an appointment with one of the doctors that have shown that are real but once you go under they swap the doctor with someone that is less than qualified. Also it so sad to see these mostly older women do these procedures! Once glance at Chinese TikTok shows how incredibly edited the women are to the point that they have an uncanny sense to them. And most of the women that are super edited look like after pics of the surgery.
3:03 sister and brother is common to call each other in Asian cultures regardless of whether they are your actual siblings or not, it’s probably how it translates
Ive seen older pts unable to get important surgeries bc it is deemed unsafe. Once had a pt in her 70s get denied hip surgery bc they felt it was way too dangerous and didn’t know if her body could handle it. The fact that they did that surgery on a 76 year old is insane
My mother had an accident that completely changed the way her lower faced looked, aside from the severe permanent nerve damage the trauma of looking so different is no joke. Imagine PAYING for that damage?! Sad
This reminds me of the "ghost surgery" phenomenon that I've heard occur in South Korea due to their strong plastic surgery industry, but I'm sure no countries are exempt from such cases happening. Essentially, you get in contact with your desired clinic and plastic surgeon and consult them about what you want done, the price, time and place, etc. The regular pre-surgery schtick before you go under the knife. Then, when you're asleep under anesthesia, the surgeon that was decided would do the procedure leaves the room only to be replaced by another surgeon. This new surgeon, usually with less experience or without the right qualifications, will then proceed to do the operation which the original surgeon will take credit for. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the case since the facelifts doesn't look like the standard in the industry. It is after all common that popular plastic surgeons will hold up the facade and offer great results when, in reality, you might as well get anything from a good result to something botched. That's my guess unless there are a group of plastic surgeons in China that believe that result is ideal.
Thank you for doing this. When I first saw these videos, I was so disturbed by these after surgery results. Seriously, they look like something from creepy pasta. Thanks for doing all the investigation and this all makes sense

people forget that wrinkles, especially crows feet and smile lines, convey HAPPINESS!! an older person with lots of crows feet and deep smile lines but no crease between their eyebrows tells a story of a life full of laughter and smiles, why would you want to get rid of that? looking happy >>> looking "youthful"
I saw a deep dive on a crime that happened at a plastic surgery office - anyway a lot of times they will have the celebrity dr or the popular plastic surgeon that everyone wants but then they actually have trainees or other that aren’t even plastic surgeons at all, they will be waiting in the basement with a beeper. The famous surgeon will come in with gloves on but as soon as the patient is asleep- the “beeper dr” will come in to perform the surgery. So if you are going to go see a famous surgeon- do ur research and make sure they haven’t been accused of this because I wouldn’t put it past any greedy plastic surgeon in any country to do this… my point being maybe that’s what they mean by exchange of services
6:21 I think you should consider the huge fire wall in china, that image might exist on a Chinese website somewhere just not on a site the rest of the world uses.
at 12:50 if anyone's wondering what they're saying in the video, basically the woman that's recording asks the woman next to the doctor some information about herself, firstly she asked her where did she come from, now the woman seems like she's African because of her arabic accent but she answers with "I come from France", second question was how old the lady was, she answered with "38 years Old"
You have to realize that what they consider beautiful in China is very different from the US . For what it is, I didn't think it was botched and especially since the photos are just 7 days after surgery. I really would love to see what they look like after 6 months after ,thats how long it takes to completely heal. Being that's kinda what's comcideted beauty in China I really dont think they're are so botched. Its the swelling in the eyes that makes it look so strange. My biggest issue is the young people getting full face lifts, not so much the older people. Myself I would never get any plastic surgery, but to each their own.

@CaptainRosi i mean, cant say for millenials specifically but its definitely not just the older generations- a lot of anti aging tiktok is young people who want to look young forever, like i once saw a 14 year old girl with a whole anti aging facial routine there lmao its pretty bizarre

As we all know, SK has been catching up to Brazil as the capital of plastic surgery, and he might try to capitalize on that by using a Korean name.
yeah i was thinking this exactly, where i'm from you call people "brother" or "sister" as a friendly word, not literal
Yeah I was confused as well like I was just thinking about this before I wanted to make a similar comment
I don't know Mandarin enough to explain
yes exactlyyy what i wanted to say

I just commented on that too. It's kinda scary how not knowing a common cultural norm for another place can get twisted to mean something weird.
Well that’s even freakier
true!
Aren’t these surgeries still too much. My dad(50) got a facelift. He looked refreshed, but completely normal afterwards. The surgeon recommended only minimal surgery because there are risk of patients’ eyelid can’t close properly and other complications.
@@Deli-xu2ihcan you name your plastic surgeon
There's a reason they're not posting "fully-healed" results. I mean, some of those peoples are locals which they can easily contact. There *is* one healed result on their page but keep in mind that's 1/93. Perhaps they know it'll get engagement? But then that would be bad marketing because if they're posting odd-looking surgeries, they would be getting bad press which is already happening in real-time. Some people say that they'll look just fine after being fully healed but if that's the case, then why would a professional plastic surgeon, Dr. Youn, clearly not agree with how they look right after surgery? Out of all people, you'd think he knows best about all stages.
hello tuv hows life treating you

Honestly I think there's a couple of reasons. First, like the man from Spain, some patients come from all over the world, so it makes no sense for them to fly back just for after-pictures. Secondly, he probably tells the patients that it's normal how they look right now, and it'll look better after a while. But as time goes on, nothing really changes and they realize that the surgery is botched. They hate their new look and wouldn't agree to show their face on camera.

I experienced this too. I will never support the beauty/cosmetic industry again LOL evil whitecoat demons assaulting my perfectly healthy face.
yep, and many women who just want a slightly larger breast size are talked into getting more than they want. It's really gross.
Imagine flying out to get this surgery and having airport security trying to verify your identity. Omg.

Mojo licking the microphone was so cute! 🥰

Doctor Yuen is a wonderful doctor and I am always glad to hear his pov on different topics like this one. Those patients deserve better.
this video is scaring me, not just bc it's botched but bc this guys music is making me feel scared
Check under your bed around 12:00 midnight
@@Jgungz ahhh stop ur scaring me
I just want to say I really appreciate you being kind and understanding to the people getting the surgery. It's really sad
The aftermath is actually terrifying, looks extremely uncanny. I feel so terrible for these poor people
I saw a deep dive on a crime that happened at a plastic surgery office - anyway a lot of times they will have the celebrity dr or the popular plastic surgeon that everyone wants but then they actually have trainees or other that aren’t even plastic surgeons at all, they will be waiting in the basement with a beeper.
Yoo could you give me the name of the channel and video title

6:21 I think you should consider the huge fire wall in china, that image might exist on a Chinese website somewhere just not on a site the rest of the world uses.
at 12:50 if anyone's wondering what they're saying in the video, basically the woman that's recording asks the woman next to the doctor some information about herself, firstly she asked her where did she come from, now the woman seems like she's African because of her arabic accent but she answers with "I come from France", second question was how old the lady was, she answered with "38 years Old"
This was fascinating! I had no idea. Very well researched. And nice undergrad rug. You're giving me faith in the youth of America. Subscribed.
They actually look good healed
Lost my dad when he wasn’t even 40, I get we all have insecurities, but growing old is a blessing, please don’t do this people 😢 your family and friends love you as you are ❤ start small if you really want work, let your body heal.
