I love that we recently have had the rise of the artists. With animation, illustration and writing becoming more popular and supported that ever, lots of young people have gotten the passion to create new amazing stories through their art. Along with this came a lot of super cool ARG and creepypastas with so much thought and love behind them. I remember reading a creepypasta that even had its own phone number made by the author that genuinely worked and said exactly what the creepypasta described.
Meesha's story is haunting. I am from Sacramento, lived here my entire life. It is horrifying knowing that murderous individuals live this closely among us. I hope she is resting peacefully, and that her family are doing okay despite the circumstances.
2 years later and those creepy search results are still up. So I typed in “…” and “/“ and gorey/scary videos popped up, but also sexual/seductive content. It’s extremely weird and extremely harmful, considering that youtube has strict guidelines but those kinds of videos are still up.

Recently, I was on TH-cam looking up twerking bumblebees for my son's entertainment. He's seven and once saw a short of a twerking bee, so he wanted me to find more videos because he thought they were funny. Anyway. After about half a page of bee videos, there was "One man one jar". Imagine a seven year old kid just trying to look at funny videos clicking on that out of curiosity. It's actually terrifying raising a child in the age of technology tbh.

The period thing with the search bar works. Trust me when I say this, don’t put a period. The videos are named “full stop punctuation” and has a creepy thumbnail. One of them (TW!) was a guy without his face, literally just skin and blood and eyes, and holding his face over some other guys face, but holding it backwards. Creepy as hell. I traumatized myself. Again, don’t do it if your sensitive to scary stuff, or just gore and creepy stuff. Luckily I don’t puke easily AT ALL.

I have a story about the “.” Result thing - Trigger warning for gory stuff I was trying to look for monkey videos (yes) and I clicked the full stop, and the weird result came up - as one does, I clicked on it, and saw a few strange clickbait-y looking thumbnails, so I kept scrolling. After about 2 minutes of scrolling, a video that had come out about 30 minutes before I found it showed up with a demonic symbol and a creepy face with a title (I don’t remember exactly) something like “We must all repent” or something else cult sounding. I clicked on it, thinking it would be clickbait like the others but I ended up seeing security footage of a child’s head getting crushed by elevator doors and almost, what it looked like, decapitating them as their parents(?) trying to help/save them. I’m pretty desensitised to that kind of stuff, but that particular video was quite shocking even for someone who enjoys learning about and sometimes watching gory / disturbing content. I didn’t even know it was possible to find this stuff on TH-cam. on a better note, I did find the monkey videos I was looking for

I have a story about the “.” Result thing - Trigger warning for gory stuff
I was trying to look for monkey videos (yes) and I clicked the full stop, and the weird result came up - as one does, I clicked on it, and saw a few strange clickbait-y looking thumbnails, so I kept scrolling. After about 2 minutes of scrolling, a video that had come out about 30 minutes before I found it showed up with a demonic symbol and a creepy face with a title (I don’t remember exactly) something like “We must all repent” or something else cult sounding. I clicked on it, thinking it would be clickbait like the others but I ended up seeing security footage of a child’s head getting crushed by elevator doors and almost, what it looked like, decapitating them as their parents(?) trying to help/save them. I’m pretty desensitised to that kind of stuff, but that particular video was quite shocking even for someone who enjoys learning about and sometimes watching gory / disturbing content. I didn’t even know it was possible to find this stuff on TH-cam.

The first one is creepy at first, but after that it’s actually a bit funny since they make the thumbnails “scary” but it turns out to be memes or something.
Still, TH-cam is the biggest video sharing platform in the world and making thumbnails traumatising doesn't make it okay even if it's meme or not.
