Compare the Pixel 3 XL at launch with the Poco F1 at half its price and the Pixel looks ridiculously priced, almost embarrassingly expensive, yet is it fundamentally a bad phone? These days where mid-range phones compete well with flagships we are rarely taking about specs, it is more the unseen. In this case the iPhone has iOS, longer support, the ecosystem, quality and better components. In a childish, spec comparison, of course the Pixel 3a XL will seem to do well, as there are 10x plus more people that can afford a Pixel 3a than an iPhone XS Max, so it is obvious that the comment sections will be a breeding ground for trolls like your comment, fueled by the influencers weird decision to compare two phones that very few consumers will have as their last two choices! The Pixel 3a XL is a one trick pony, a slightly better camera than the competition, but other than that it offers little, especially out of the US where it is much more expensive and really not a sensible choice in 2019 unless you are part of the Google fandom. From my perspective, the iPhone wins this comparison hands down, if money is no object then the iPhone kills the 3a. If money is an object then you would not even be thinking of buying the XS Max, so what are you doing here?
andyH_England the pixel 3A has the same amount of support and the fact that it’s an android gives it 4 more years after the 3 years google gives you because of Roms also the 3A has a smooth and fluid OS I owned a pixel when it first came out and recently before switching to an iPhone and trust me it’s on the same level as IOS in terms of user friendly and packs way more features since it’s android also the camera isn’t “slightly better” it’s known in the tech community as the best camera on a smart phone EVER the P30 pro with its tons of sensors can’t even match the performance of googles camera software it’s to the point that everyone is installing google cam on their phones it’s not a one trick pony because it’s style is simple and it doesn’t offer more than a Samsung simplicity is what made IOS so popular in the first place now simplicity is bad when it’s an android device ? But the argument for years was that Android was laggy and clunky kinda hypocritical

Justine I think the Pixel is better in every category except I MIGHT give it to the iPhone for daytime videos. The vid with the rocks and water looked a bit nicer on the iPhone. The still shot of you holding your hair though...........both looked great, but in the Pixel pic your face looked more clear, which IMO is the most important factor if you're taking a picture of people. So far I've used the Note 9,Xs Max,Mate 20 Pro and now the OnePlus 7 Pro and I don't think I will get a new phone for at least a year now. I love my 7Pro with this bezel less display with Oxygen OS! Fastest phone I have ever used!

carver 9 I have the Xs Max but before I got it I had the 6s plus. If you plan on getting one I highly recommend it but you should wait until after the new iPhone gets released to compare prices.
carver 9 I got it for a discount and while the phone May not be for everyone it’s really been practical while traveling and stuff with the battery, camera and faster speed.

iJustine I have a Google Pixel 3 XL and I love it a lot, it's an huge improvement from the Samsung Galaxy S6 that I had. My favorite feature gotta be the camera bc it has a much crisper when it comes to taking pictures. When taking a picture you could see every detail which I was looking for as camera wise. But overall I love the phone so much!

5:24 is literally all you need. As a VERY long time iPhone user, I honestly can say the Pixel killed it on that photo. Look at how much of the sweaters color comes through vs the XSM. The XS also looks washed out on the face too. Its something I didnt really notice on my own iPhone till I saw what the alternative could of been

It's pretty damn good for its price, especially the camera. I'd take a look at the new Asus Zenfone 6 too, high end specs, huge battery and a cool flip camera that allows a notchless display, all for mid range price (ish). Love ya to bits.

It's pretty damn good for its price, especially the camera. I'd take a look at the new Asus Zenfone 6 too, high end specs, huge battery and a cool flip camera that allows a notchless display, all for mid range price (ish). Love ya to bits.
