Matured in ex-Bourbon and new french oak casks made from Limousin oak

Resinous Gold
NOSE
Creamy, rich, candied grapefruit, floral, citrus, honey, toffee, cinnamon
TASTE
Sweet, fruity, nutty, grapefruit, honey, oak spice, vanilla, white chocolate, toffee
FINISH
Lingering, toasted nuts, grapefruit marmalade, nuts, dry at the end
WITH WATER
Nose: fruit and custard dusted with cinnamon
Taste: more rounded

Nice review chap. More or less matches my own tasting notes. Worth also trying with with a fish dish and milder blue cheese. At the moment in the UK, one can get a bottle for about £40 on special offer. Have you tried the Tomintoul 14….. excellent underrated malt.
Happy belated new year. Still haven't tried any Glenlivet. I like the sound of this one. That's not a bad price for a 15 year old whisky. Never tried a French oak matured whisky. Again another to add to my list. Good review. Im enjoying your channel. I like the food pairings I find it very interesting. Im going through all of your videos.

Tried this today it was quite nice. Very similar to the 18 I thought and a lot cheaper here in the uk. Tried the 18 too I feel it's way overpriced.
