Definitely need to look into it! Price seems reasonable for a good single malt and aged to 15 years. Nothing I enjoy more after a long work week than to sit and sip on great whisky or cognac.
Wow, I did not know your videos went back 3 years. I have some catching up to do. That's alot of tastings. Good Job. I have this bottle and I totally agree with your tasting and ranking. Its not bad for a $45 bottle. Great video.
Definitley sweet for a 15 year single malt...it comes to us at 40 % Abv which I was a bit apprehensive about, but after having a taste, I found it to be delightful. I think a drop of water is still a help to this offering. Cheers!
dave m Hey Dave! Thank you so much for leaving a comment! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you! Yeah, it is quite a sweet dram, but it's so drinkable and as you say delightful!
There is complexity to this whisky, which can be enjoyable. I won't repeat what has been said regarding nosing and tasting notes. The only observation k have is that the nose, for me, is almost like a strong perfume. I added a little water to calm it down. Adding a little water also allowed the fruit notes, typical found in the Glenlivet 12yo to come out. I enjoy the 12yo a bit more than the 15yo. However, if I were to recommend any Glenlivet, it would be the Nadurra 16yo. I should note that the Nadurra I am referring to is not the Oloroso batch. I would like to see what the Glenlivet ''expressions, would taste like if they didn''t chill filtered.
Andrew Jarrett Hi Andrew. Thank you so much for watching my video and leaving a comprehensive comment! The Nadurra is a fantastic drop yes! I gave it a 9/10 on my review of it. The Oloroso Nadurra is pretty tasty also. Yes I wish all whiskies were non chill filtered.
***** Just like to take a moment and say "thank you." I know this review of your for the Glenlivet 15yo was uploaded back in 2013 and my comment is a bit after the fact, so thanks for taking the time to reply. I am guessing that although many videos of reviews by you and others are dated some time there are still people watching them. I hope more people get into the discussion as well. Quick question, have you heard of others "complaining" about the perfume like aroma/taste of the Glenlivet 15yo? Maybe it is just me. HA! Cheers

Why did the bottle colors change? I miss the green bottle with the dark purple labeling; made it more appealing in addition to taste.
+Bobby Hill Hi Bobby! They changed a few years back! Not sure exactly when.
25-30 pounds??!! I just paid 90 USD!
Where in the US are you?
@@WhiskyWednesday South Florida
Ah, no experience with Florida prices. $90 is about £65, the price has gone up to about £45 average in the UK for this.
@@WhiskyWednesday okay so I didn’t pay too high of a price. Good whiskey.
£20 in Asda at the moment down from £40
