Utah's Mighty 5: Quick Visiting Guide to Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion

Our road trip in our Honda Pilot SUV Camper has taken us to Utah's Mighty 5 Parks: Arches National Park, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion. Each one of the parks is stunning and absolutely worth visiting. In this video, we give an overview of each of the parks, and summarize a few highlights. We also rank them in order of our favorites, from 5 to 1.

I hit the mighty 5 OCT. 2023. It was a blast the best road trip I've taken. Bryce was my favorite of the 5.

We just got back. Capitol Reef was our favorite (turns out I like trees). Zion would have been hands down our favorite if not for the insane crowds. I think Zion is going to have to start doing timed entry tickets like Arches and Rocky Mountain.

Wow, Zion looked way, way busier than when we visited in mid-September 2017. We definitely have to hit those other parks the next time we head that way. Great overview!

There were so many people! We visited Arches and Canyonlands in May 2018 and it definitely felt much busier this time.

I’m not sure about the large vehicle permit, but the website is a good place to start. Depending on the time of year, you may also need to book your entry ahead of time (probably not for February, but it’s good to double check)
