Lucie...you sound like there is no animal cruelty in SriLanka. I can remember 50years ago puppies kittens and chicken were sold on those cages in SriLanka. But now that has changed for the good. Welcome to the real world 😮
I am very aware about the animal cruelty in Sri Lanka, having worked in a shelter here for almost 4 years, I have seen the most horrific cases and helped to heal many dogs who have been victim of abuse, boiling oil and water attacks, machete wounds, beating to paralysis.... i have been exposed to the reality that humans conflict on animals here, i have spoken about this many times in our videos
There are approximately 30 million homeless children without parents in India that few people care about. Few care about their environment either. They should because they have a shortage of fresh water and to add garbage to the equation to pollute more is crazy. They don't seem to have many humane laws towards animals. Animals feel pain and have anxiety as do humans.
Lucie...this happened in Sri Lanka to us and we had to make a formal complaint to the Bank of the card you used at the ATM (e.g HSBC ) and NOT with the Bank that owns the ATM..(.i.e. the Indian Bank in your case). We got the money redeposited within a week. Hope you have explored the above option too
@@whereslucie Hey guys you should write complaint about that bank to Reserve bank of India ( India's central bank) they will act on that case. Give them entry of money withdrawal from your Sri Lankan bank account.

Lucie i've been your fan for years but sorry to say you've missed it all this time in India. I don't think you've got any bad intentions or hidden plots, but as a Sri Lankan who loves india to the core, i could say you haven't really visited India. Every country has gullies and stinky disgusting areas, specially in the middle of big cities. You could walk around nooks and corners in Colombo and see it by urself. But you've missed the chance to visit absolutely mind blowing enchating places in Delhi/ Agra ( a little bit far heavens like Dehradun), or in Shimla / Kulu manali, or in Kerala ( munnar) or Ooty.. Pretty much you've missed all the nature havens and got stuck in busy cities
This was my exact reaction too (as an American, also vegan, who has called Chennai home for 12 years and loves Sri Lanka dearly). The whole time I saw her wandering around Chennai I was literally laughing and going, "Lucie, what are you doing?! Why are you walking through these random streets?!" India's large cities will eat a person alive unless they know exactly where they're going and what they're doing. It also takes a bunch of inside knowledge to know the best spots to eat, to know that ECR's beaches are far superior to Marina Beach, etc. The judgmental attitude and feigned optimism was a little hard to take--I can't imagine anyone thinking Chennai's great if they had gone where they went and did what they did. Same with her spots visited in Udaipur, Jaipur and Agra. I also second your sentiment to get outside the main cities, or to visit unconventional, totally underrated states like Meghalaya. I appreciate the spirit in which she went to India, but there was a lot of missing the mark.

@@racheljayah 😂😂😂😂 yes, many years ago maligawatta, crow Island, mattakkuliya are dirty. But now crow Island have leisure park and it is very clean. After war(2009) colombo city changed.
@rachelijayah8277 thank you so much for your kindness. As an Indian it is hard to see all criticisms , but I fully know we have lot of issues when it comes to cleanliness. We cannt be compared to Srilanka simply because our population is huge, we have water scarcity in many states. However Lucie’s India Series troubled me so didnt watch ,not that I matter . We are a boiling pot of many cultures, many economic classes ,trying to prove to the world we can govern ourselves ,fighting colonial baggage.
Great video, another beautiful country & culture. Hope you enjoy your trip even when you both hit with the same bug.. get good rest and recover well.. beautiful people. High light of video, WE ARE GOING HOME 🏡… TWO SRI LANKAN’S RETURNING HOME…
You cannot compare Sri Lanka to India. India is a big country with 1.4billion population. Unfortunately they went to the cities where it is over crowded and not clean, it doesn’t mean that you will find this throughout the country. 1.5 billion population in the world are vegetarian whereas 38% of 1.4 billion people in India are vegetarian. So imagine the rest of the world is killing more animals than India. Even the non-vegetarian people in India consume more vegetarian food than meats. So TH-camrs stop portraying India in this manner.
Hi lusy..its nice to see you.and this vlog also very nice..by the way why don't you travel to your mother country and let us see the beautiful places in there???
Doing India on the cheap what do you expect? You ate in some dubious places and as a result got I'll.
Next time visit northeast india or kashmir you guys will be mesmerized
👍🌍✈️❤
Note to self. Never ever ever visit India. I'm glad you made it home safely
❤❤❤❤😊

Great video, another beautiful country & culture. Hope you enjoy your trip even when you both hit with the same bug.. get good rest and recover well.. beautiful people. High light of video, WE ARE GOING HOME 🏡…
TWO SRI LANKAN’S RETURNING HOME…
Maybe Typhoid fever
You cannot compare Sri Lanka to India. India is a big country with 1.4billion population. Unfortunately they went to the cities where it is over crowded and not clean, it doesn’t mean that you will find this throughout the country. 1.5 billion population in the world are vegetarian whereas 38% of 1.4 billion people in India are vegetarian. So imagine the rest of the world is killing more animals than India. Even the non-vegetarian people in India consume more vegetarian food than meats. So TH-camrs stop portraying India in this manner.
India is the biggest meat exporter in the world especially beef.
Hi lusy..its nice to see you.and this vlog also very nice..by the way why don't you travel to your mother country and let us see the beautiful places in there???
We plan to this year, visa depending 🙏🏼
Oh gosh - I’m so sorry - horrendous levels of animal abuse - hopefully this reality will shock a couple of people to wake up
Lucie why don't you teach Lahiru some civilization also like combing the hair he looks like a Hippie 😮
Or else cut the hair crew cut will look very decent 👌
She came here from the UK what makes you think your silly opinions about what makes civilization in your opinion matters?

You should go Tamil Nadu side , south of India
to be honest, that whole journey looked terrible :(
So sad to see this clip. I would never pay money to come and see this part of the world. So much animal abuse and so much garbage.
Doing India on the cheap what do you expect? You ate in some dubious places and as a result got I'll. It was your choice to stay in budget places hidden away in back alleys and then you complain about the surroundings. So was it any surprise that the two of you were sick for most of the trip. You can't be that hard up.
